Very small airport and at least when I was there it was crowded, but more than any other. The TSA line was weird. I was almost able to walk through because they seemed to be understaffed and oddly setup. The only thing that stopped me was how open it was from the pre-cleared line and how I was at the screening table before I walked back confused. Also weird was the priority line was backed up but the regular line had no one in it. I felt bad "skipping" by going on the regular line. That was at the AA counter, but goes to show that things aren't clear--- or people in N Dakota aren't used to flying.

I don't think there is an easier airport in the world to travel through. Just make sure you don't have to use the restroom right now because all of the bottom floor where the luggage claim is is completely closed down. They did manage to have a tractor and a pontoon boat but no restrooms that work. What I can say is in the years I have been coming to the city it is growing massively and I would assume the airport is expanding to fulfill the needs of this town. Everybody is so incredibly friendly... It's that North Dakota nice thing. If you don't want to drive 3 1/2 hours from Minneapolis up to Fargo definitely booked the trip it's a 37 minute flight from MSP to FAR

"I'm learning to fly But I ain't got wings Coming down Is the hardest thing" (Tom Petty) We flew into Hector International Airport after connecting on a United flight from Chicago. I gotta tell ya, Fargo's little airport is a Gem. It was easy to navigate with plenty of services like an airport gift shop featuring North Dakota-made products, a SkyDine and Subway restaurants, a lounge/coffee/snack bar and a gift shop kiosk located at Gate 3 and 4, business centers located throughout the terminal with plenty of sit-down work areas, free Wi-Fi and 120V power connections, and a game room on the main level. Another big plus is how easy it is to access the car rental counters and rental lots. The counters are on the lower level and the lot was just a very short walk away. No shuttles needed! Hector includes service from United Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Frontier Airlines. And where can you fly from Fargo? How about Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Nashville, Orlando, Phoenix, and St. Petersburgh. And who is Hector airport named after? Hector International Airport is named after Martin Hector, a local businessman who first leased and then donated 160 acres to the city for the airport.

What a dump of an airport. Construction is going on, which makes it extremely difficult to navigate around. Only one set of bathrooms, and flights in and out of here suck. Mine just got delayed 2 1/2 hours for whatever typical American does to you, and there's no place to eat only vending machines. How lucky am I. Glad I never have to come back to this dump again.

I wish I flew out of here every week....super clean, friendly people and no lines! It's like a trip back in time when you could arrive 30 min before a flight and have no issues getting on. Negatives (terrible place to be delayed, "airport prices" on food/drinks) way outweighed by ease of use!

This is a very small airport with small amenities. Pretty easy in and out and no wait through security any time I've been through. Mostly friendly people and there's only 5 gates. plenty of rental options onsite

Great local airport in the Midwest! I really enjoy flying in and out from there because it's so convenient. Super clean and easy to find your gates and luggage. They have a decent gift shop if you need to grab some North Dakota State University items. The food court is limited, but pretty solid for what they have to offer. Burger is pretty good and the fish and chips were tasty. The ready to go items are hearty and a pretty big in size. They have some cool local trail mixes and sweets that I think are specifically local which I love. Get the cereal bar looking thing with chocolate on top. It's not the usual rice Krispy treat, but it's like it but better. Love flying there!

When traveling to North Dakota recently I decided to base out of Fargo. Hector International Airport serves the Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN metro area. This airport is very practical. I love that it's not too big and very easy to navigate. There aren't many options for amenities at this airport. There are some gift shops to purchase last minute gifts or postcards to take home. The food court is small and serves Caribou Coffee, of course. Caribou is a Minnesota based coffee company. When I landed at Hector International, it didn't take long for me to disembark from the plane, walk through the airport and find the rental car area for checking out my rental. There are no shuttles or buses to take. I loved the ease of walking through the airport. It also wasn't crowded at all. There was also no long lines to get through TSA security. When departing Hector International to return home to Denver, it was a very seamless process. I parked my rental car, walked a short distance to the main concourse entrance/exit, dropped off my keys along with paperwork and took the escalator to TSA security check-in. There wasn't a line when I checked in. After clearing security, I had time to browse the gift shops and grab a coffee. Also, heads up that there aren't impressive food options at their food court. I recommend grabbing breakfast or other meal before arriving at the airport. It was so seamless and easy to arrive, go through security and find my gate that I had a lot of time to spare. I would use this airport again. Who knows, I may even become a ND resident some day! That's how much of an impression my visit to ND left upon me. Great area of the state to visit!

This is a cool, little easy in, easy out airport. It's only 1 terminal with 5 gates. Cute airport. They do have a TSA precheck line! When I first arrived here, it was easy to maneuver around to get outside. They have a small gift shop, a Cafe, and a small bar on the inside after you pass security towards gates 3 to 5. Before you go into security but still inside the building, there are 3 restaurants, including a Subway sandwich shop. There is also a bigger gift shop in this area. The restrooms were clean. Was easy for my friend to pick me up and later drop me off like a Sunday morning newspaper! I had a chance to rent a car and drive from Rochester, MN to Moorhead, MN or fly from Minneapolis to Fargo. I am glad I made the choice to see the Hector Airport in Fargo! One day I will be back here again soon, Ya Know!!!
