Technically, I'd give them a 3.5, but half stars aren't an option. The service was meh and the facilities were dirty, but the food was pretty decent. The ramen noodles were good with a nice QQ texture and the broth was flavorful. I've spent most of my life in Asia and have had many bowls of ramen over the years. The flavors were good but not true to an authentic tonkotsu ramen broth. I would go with the expectation of having a nice, soothing, warm bowl of soup noodles, and you will be satisfied. If you're going in with the expectation of everything being authentic, etc...then you will be disappointed. Far from the best ramen I've had, but it's good for when there aren't a lot of Asian food options available in the area. I'd like to address that is 100% acceptable to slurp your ramen--it's actually expected. Although considered rude in most western cultures, slurping noodles is normal and expected in Japanese culture. In fact, not slurping your noodles is considered rude and an insult to the chef. If that weirds you out, no worries! You're in a ramen shop in North Dakota...no one cares if you're being 100% culturally compliant. But don't be afraid to try it out for the experience!

Terrific Ramen. I hate, "slupping". It's the worst part of the name. The Ramen, however is great. Don't be a slurping animal. Is it that necessary?

A year since our first two visits, we stopped by Slurp for a quick meal after a day of work and running errands. The location is new, but the menu is still the same. Space is still shared between Drunken Noodle and Slurp Ramen. Food essentially comes from the same kitchen, but one half of the kitchen is dedicated to Slurp, while the other is Drunken Noodle. Quality is still same as a year ago. Delicious and flavorful food. We went with our now favorite, tongkatsu and crispy pork belly on rice dishes. Not disappointed. We'll be back, and certainly a year between visits is too long a wait...

The weather had turned just cool enough to justify a hot bowl of Ramen... Really I did not need much convincing as I love Ramen... the broth, the noodles, the gently underdone egg... yolk yielding it's fatty goodness, tampering the saltiness of the dish. Comfort food at its best... good for any meal, and that includes breakfast. I love the feel of the place, like a food stall... the smells beckon and entice the moment you walk in this ally of a restaurant. I should say restaurants. Slurp Ramen is one half with Drunken Noodle. The menu is to the point (i.e. not the phone book sized monstrosities of a place trying to be everything for every one). Here, you want noodle... you got noodle, and maybe a few other items. You don't like it, tough.

I've been here twice, first time I had the Shoyu and it was bland, there was no real flavor to it and no salt/msg. Second time I had the Tonkotsu and everything was overcooked and still bland. My friend had the Pad Thai and that was much better. For Fargo, considering just how many damned Tavern, Steakhouse, Bar and Grill, and "Wannabe Applebee's" restaurants there are, it's a decent place, but could be better. Also not a fan of their benches being written on, I was worried I'd end up with sharpie or ink on the back of my legs or staining my clothes

Preface: Not a local. I've mostly eaten ramen in Tokyo and the Bay Area. I tried spicy miso, tonkotsu, and shoyu. 5 stars not for excellent ramen but to support the continued existence of a decent (currently) ramen joint in Fargo. The portions are large and price point is fair. The decor is fun as well. The 3 broths I tried all lean toward sweet. Since there aren't traditionally sweet ingredients in dashi I'm not sure what they've added but I was left with a saccharine aftertaste by the end. The tonkotsu broth could be better. Ideally the broth is a deep umami bomb, made creamy and pale from stewing various cuts of pork (some ramen chefs will add chicken, or dried fish ie sardine, anchovy, mackerel). The tonkotsu broth here was pretty thin and lacking a creamy, rich texture. It was definitely pork and had some depth but the overbearing sweetness really robbed its potential. The eggs are fine, they could be marinated for 2 days to develop a really appealing translucent, dark orange yolk.

Best ramen in Fargo! Go to spot for my boyfriend and I. Highly recommend, super cool atmosphere and delicious ramen. The Thai curry sauce is hands down one of the best I've had.

Shared space with the Drunken Noodle. I ordered a water and asked the cashier where I get it because he didn't hand me anything. He pointed me to the side of the counters where there was already filled cups of ice. I didn't see where water was so asked him again and he pointed to a pitcher and seemed annoyed. How was I supposed to know it was there on the workers space, especially never being there before. The chunky strings of beef were gross. The noodles tasted plain and had little flavor. The dish also had very few carrots and broccoli that were in it. Maybe 4 pieces of each. Really?? For $13 what a waste. First time and not returning or recommending to people.

For ramen, I'd say it's pretty meh. I had the pork belly ramen, and it wasn't flavorful at all. It was just a bowl of bland. No saltiness, no garlic flavor, onion, ginger, nothing. I think they just put pork bones in water and called it broth. Even the pork belly wasn't seasoned well, if at all. I think if this place actually put in some effort and time into their broth it could be good, but tonkotsu broth takes at least 12 hours to do properly, and this restaurant (like most "ramen" restaurants in America) probably doesn't want to put forth that effort. The noodles had a good chew, but they were very short, so i assume they are multi-purpose for other dishes. The egg was cooked perfectly, which I appreciated, but a good egg does not a ramen make. The staff was friendly. Bottom line, I probably wouldn't go back.

I absolutely love the pork belly ramen. I usually order extra noodles and their Pork Shumai was okay but I didn't go there for the appetizers. Ramen is the best in town.
