The wait was 40 minutes for a Saturday night which the locals said was good.  Everyone, including the patrons, were friendly and sociable.  There was ample seating towards the back hall.  I was notified via text that the table was ready.

The locals recommended the Bahama Mama platter.  I opted for the Bahama Mama Reuben which is served with warm German potato salad and also added a side of green beans.   The plate was served within 15 minutes.  I like my Reuben with the sauerkraut dry and the dressing light but failed to request it this way.  So my sandwich was a bit soggy.  It was still a good sandwich.  The potato salad and green beans were an excellent side choice

The meal was finished with a slice of German chocolate cake which was standard dessert but not too rich.

Altogether a wonderful visit with pleasant atmosphere and people.  I would recommend this restaurant and hope to return.

Always a wait here according to my friend who is a local,  but it isn't like they are sending you to the bar to buy drinks while you wait.
3 of us had 3 different meals,  sausage platter,  meatloaf,  & cabbage rolls, all were good.
We also got dessert, which I thought was good but not fabulous.
I'm from WI, also of German heritage and honestly I wasn't impressed with the over priced bratwurst.
Would recommend.  Seems like a nice place for families as well.

Traveling thru town on business and came across this beautiful building. Although it was busy i was able to get a chair at the bar. Ordered the potatoes soup and the meatloaf. I wish I could tell you about the soup but never got it. However the meatloaf was delicious. At least I was able to save room to try an apple strudel. That was also good. I wish I had another chance to eat here again.

Got their signature sausage, which was delicious! The beer sampler was good. I'm not really a stout guy, so half of them were meh, but that's a personal thing, so I won't deduct points. The cream puff was amazing. I ordered the monthly special flavor, but he gave me a vanilla. He made it up by giving me a free pumpkin at the end. I couldn't eat due to being too full so just gave it to a random stranger. Overall, highly recommended!!! Very friendly staff!!! But they're very busy so don't get too offended if they mess up your order, they'll make it up!

The service was great. I would return just for that. The guy that served us was so attentive and helpful. The atmosphere of this restaurant is pretty nice. I've never been to Germany but I've been to several German restaurants and this one just seems a little more authentic than others. The food is pretty good. I can't give the food five stars because some of the things I tried didn't have enough flavor. Now that could just be my opinion possibly it is supposed to taste that way. Definitely try a float though!!!!!!
