We have taken advantage of Oregon Energy Trust rebates for the past several years, most recently to replenish the attic insulation in our 28 year old house. The rebate covered nearly all of the cost, the on-line application was a breeze, and the check arrived about a month after the work was completed. I highly recommend using the trust when it comes time for energy upgrades.

I applied for two incentives: a smart thermostat and home insulation. I submitted receipts and backup for both.

The thermostat incentive resulted in a check mailed to me in about two weeks.

The insulation is caught in customer support purgatory.

Honestly better than I expected but I spent a lot on insulation so it would be nice to get some support there.

Great program. Relative easy to apply and the staff was very helpful. I applied for a rebate on a irrigation pump upgrade and received it within a couple of months. Very happy for the program. Thank you Energy Trust!

As far as I’m concerned, the Energy Trust of Oregon is just another money-wasting Oregon Bureaucracy – that I'm taxed for.

I updated my 25+ year old gas furnace with a heat pump.  I installed a 96% efficient gas furnace for a backup so I could heat my home when the weather gets below 40 deg. F.   Because of the gas backup furnace, my incentive from the Energy Trust of Oregon for improving my home’s energy efficiency was an extended middle finger.
If I had NO backup or a wood-burning stove, I would have qualified for an incentive.
