Always fantastic and super creative ice cream flavors. It’s a bit pricier, but honestly it’s worth it. You won’t be disappointed with the waffle cone. I appreciate that there’s almost always a vegan seasonal option, though the peanut butter brittle and mint chocolate chip on the regular menu are both such great choices too.

My favorite ice cream place of all time!

Salt & Straw is a must visit whenever on the west coast or Disney world! Their innovative ice cream flavors will intrigue and delight and I always appreciate how despite any lines, the staff always treat you as if you're the only one in the room, walk you through their current offerings and taste whatever you'd like before making a final decision; absolutely worth the wait!!

I tried the salted Mac and cheese ice cream (yes, you read that right! It was wild!) and the Jack O'Lantern pumpkin bread which I ended up ordering a double scoop of.

This location had a small seating area but also plenty of bench seating outside not to mention how delicious the air around the shop smelled of freshly baked waffle cones!

An absolute must-stop when visiting a city that has Salt & Straw locations!!

This was my favorite ice cream experience in Portland by far! Brittany was a true ice cream ambassador, providing exceptional customer service and unparalleled enthusiasm about the flavors and her work. Her joy was such a vital part of the experience. This is truly special. (I work at a local ice cream shop in North Carolina and I try local ice cream wherever I travel.) Her service stands out!

And then there’s the flavors! (We were there in late August 2024.) I enjoyed the opportunity to hear about and sample the uniquely crafted flavors on the menu. There are a few I didn’t try while I was there, plus, with the rotating guest flavors, I just have something to come back to.

I’ll be thinking about the exceptional ice cream ambassadorship and the chocolate gooey brownie flavor for a long while after this!

A must stop ice cream shop if I’ve ever seen one. Absolutely wonderful experience that I had to go back multiple times on my PNW trip.

The sampler is your best bet; this place has much try, unique flavors like cinnamon & honey fried chicken, Arbequina olive oil, and grilled peach.
Their strawberry honey balsamic with black pepper may be best ice cream flavor on the planet; I could eat it all day.

Stores were clean and the service was great. I can’t say enough about this place

I had this on my list for a while and the ice creams exceeded my dreams! The strawberry balsamic was our favorite but all the flavors were great. We did the ice cream flight - 4 kid sized scoops. Olive oil is so good, the fennel and maple was a surprise, and the pear and blue cheese was so fun. Can’t wait to come back! Also the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, even though it was busy.
