Vi har besökt denna restaurang för 20 + åren, och gick här för middag i går kväll. Jag vet inte om det finns nya ägare eller nya ledning, men det här stället har blivit ett bottennapp. Först och främst den en gång öppna matsalen har delats i hälften av en stor ful trä väggen och nu känns begränsat och interner vill. De stora fönstren är nu blockerat av väggen. Den musik som spelades upp var sloooow klassisk (bra för att vara ett stekhus jag antar) . Vi beställde 6 olika bullar, och när de servitör kom med den rullar till den tabell han hade ingen aning om vilket var, vilket, och gjorde inga ansträngningar att ta med någon till hjälp. Dessutom, varje rulle smakade identiska trots var meningen olika fisk. Maten var trillade ner, servitören aldrig en gång en gång kom tillbaka till vårt bord tills jag begärde för honom att komma tillbaka. Min flaska öl serverades rumstemperatur, och en servitris var dammsugning golven bredvid oss medan vi var att äta middag. Jag är ledsen av vad som har blivit av det här stället, och kommer aldrig att åka tillbaka.

Vi är semi stamgäster och finns alltid nöjda men den här gången maten var bättre än någonsin. Vi hade Skull Nigiri och krabba rullar. Maten var så fräscht och smakade utsökt. Ser redan fram emot vårt nästa besök.

Älskade det här stället. Jag har sökt en lång tid för bra oyako donbori som smakade som restaurangerna i Japan ... detta är det bästa jag har haft hittills! Deras sushi är fräsch och av utmärkt kvalitet och smak. Prissättningen var mycket bra. Två för en tidig lite middag kostade mindre än $40. Vi kommer att åka tillbaka snart igen! Det enda problemet vi hade var långsam service och fick veta att en av deras servrar ringde i sista minuten och de hade inte kunnat hitta en ersättning ännu.

Vi åt middag här med vänner förra helgen. Alla gillade vad de beställt. Jag hade exempelvis tempurafriterade räkor donburi, ganska bra och prisvärd. Sex av oss kunde njuta av bra konversationen, vilket är ovanligt dessa dagar med tanke på ljudnivån de flesta ställen. Inte bra restauranger, men ett bra ställe för en avslappnad måltid. Parkering gör det lätt.

Detta är en annan John's Landing område restaurang. Det är nära till downtown Portland, Sellwood och Hillsdale. Jag gillar att få avhämtning.. Deras Lax är alltid mycket bra! Jag brukar få en Donburie att gå. Om du bor , kan du titta på sushi tebryggare eller en sumi matchen på det stora skärmen.

Du kan också köpa en lunch och gå tvärs över gatan till den vackra Willamette park och har en picknick.

Atmosfären i denna restaurang är inte mycket att skriva hem om. Men maten är fantastisk!! Våra programledare och servern var både mycket vänliga och hjälpsamma och combo middagar hennes fästman och jag beställde båda utmärkta. Vi ville prova en mängd olika menyalternativ--teriyaki, tempura, sashimi, etc. Vi inte besvikna i något av den. Misosoppa var också mycket bra, och även starter sallad var läckra--älskade anrikning! Om du är i området och är sugen på vissa äkta japansk mat, kolla Osaka-ya!
