I stopped by Cuff Complex around 10 PM on a weekend, and it definitely lives up to its reputation as one of Capitol Hill's signature gay bars. The vibe is dark, loud, and packed--lots of energy, fog machines running nonstop, and music blasting. As someone who isn't much of a bar person, I'll admit it felt a little intimidating at first, but once I settled in, I managed to enjoy the atmosphere. The crowd was lively but not messy, which I appreciated since I've heard nights here can get wild. Drinks are fairly priced for the area--not cheap, but not unreasonable either. What did disappoint me, though, was the service at the bar. The bartenders came off rushed and pretty rude. I get that it was peak weekend hours and the place was slammed, but a little friendliness or a welcoming tone would go a long way. Overall, if you're into the party scene, this is the spot for you: dark, sweaty, and high-energy. If you're not, just know what you're walking into. I had fun, but the service kept it from being a 5-star night.

As a common introvert the community here is supportive for its events. The staff here are amazing people and highly recommend if ur new to Seattle to come here for their Halloween events. #LoveBeingCuffed

Ahh, what can I say about this place, I thoroughly enjoyed bringing my besties here when they visited Seattle from San Francisco and LA. I loved that they didn't have a cover, and the vibes were so fun!! Sadly, we only got to belt out a few songs before they closed the karaoke, but it was a Sunday, so we totally got it, they close early. There were some singers in here that sounded hella professional, like they literally should be recording artists (or maybe they are in their free time?). The talent, the heavy pour drinks (for the price), and the friends you can make here were so awesome. It's a no-judgement zone too which is key, we were dancing to some of the songs and joined the singers on stage as their backup dancers, ha ha. Such a good time here. FYI, you can order food from CapHill Kitchens next door, they have a variety of foods and they bring your order to you here. Will 100% be back, loved loved the vibes.

I want to like this place and I've come in many times now (not many gay bars in Seattle in general), but it just hasn't grown on me. It's very dirty, dark and dingy. Definitely needs an update along with some better DJ's. The music is awful and old as hell. Idk, I wish it was better. There's nowhere else to go sadly. It's good to start the night there but I'm not paying that ridiculous cover to hang out later, if I decide to leave and come back. Bartenders are hit or miss. I've had some card issues there but you can NEVER GET ANYONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE. Also, their hours are never right. They seem to change it at a whim.

Over the years The Cuff has been a mainstay within the Seattle community. Longstanding patrons and newcomers alike have enjoyed the safe space that Cuff provides. Recently (within the last year) a lot of very positive changes have been made at The Cuff to make it even more enjoyable. Some of this is personnel (Joon is an amazing, friendly, and focused GM), some of this is policy (thank you Seattle for updating its liquor control board policies), and some of this is programming (have you sang at the Karaoke nights or played Loteria yet?). For sure, my greatest compliments go to Joon (aforementioned GM) for putting her heart and soul into creating an updated and contemporary space for all communities. She's tough, she's a shrewd business woman, but she's also super approachable and willing to listen to new ideas. And, she's friendly and always happy to say hello. Eric at the front door -- equally nice, focused on keeping people safe, no bullshit, but friendly and kind to anyone who merits it. (He's also super cute.) The music is usually great (personal preference here only -- some DJs aren't my style) and there is plenty of variety to please any taste. The patio is a destination for summer evenings on Sundays, dancing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights is always fun. Yeah, sure, it can be crowded at times but hey, that's just because it's a space where people want to hang out. Lots of options for LGBTQ+ spaces in Seattle -- The Cuff continues to create one of the best places to be.

This is difficult to write, because overall I did have fun here with my friends, and could feel that it was a safe space for queer people -- but I have opinions. First, bars/clubs that require cover should be more comfortable and upscale, in my opinion. It's not like Seattle is New York or LA. There are less than a million people in the city; so I don't understand charging for patronage when you're barely even a blip on the tourism radar. Second, the drinks were a bit expensive to be so mediocre; and my limes were no joke rotten: I saw the marketplace prices for fruit. There's no excuse. HOWEVER, the music was great to dance to. I enjoyed their patio area, and the staff were all very kind and friendly. Like I said, they made sure that it felt like a safe space for everyone in the LGBTQIA+ community. That'll always mean something in my book. It's just, like, relax with the prices, y'all -- it's a polite suggestion. Humble thyself to the fate of NW notoriety.

This place is fun, horny men women and other and GREAT DANCE MUSIC, but the doorman announced immediately upon entry "$10.00 CASH only please, we have an ATM right here!" Ok, I said! It was great BC the ATM is literally right next to him! he says leave your ID here, but BC it's easier to just leave my entire wallet, instead of extracting the ID, and I WAS 2 feet away! I use the ID but happen to turn around quickly and see HIM rifling through my entire wallet (looking for cash or ?) I challenged him and he just said "have a nice day" I wanna kick his thieving ass! !

Fyi, you shouldn't send a fraudulent signed account receipt, that says "customer copy".... I had contacted American Express and said this was not the correct amount of my tab. I disputed a little bit of this bill! But then you forged my signature and drinks that I would never drink! You deserve what's coming to you and getting your merchant license revoked! Don't do business with the company that's going to lie about your transactions My personal suggestion, to anybody going to the cuff don't put your credit card down as an open tab! Because you're open tab will become a $100 more advance on your bill than you thought would happen Don't believe me contact American Express, they know about their fraud and dishonesty! They're on their radar and will not stand for a bar forging a signature! Let alone defrauding their customers! Pay cash at the cuff, or don't go to the cuff which is a better option in my opinion! Dishonesty will happen every time you go to the bar! What a dishonest business! Do you want to support a business that's going to rip you off? And sign your name, to a bill that you did not authorized or purchase? Sadly, the cough is a money hungry business not actually having your best interest in you're having a great experience! The cuff.... Is totally dishonest! They will forge your signature and they will forward the amount on your bill! Contact American Express if you don't believe me! If you have $100 to lose then buy all means go to the cuff! Because they're bartenders will rip you off! And so will the management and forge your signature on documentation to the credit card company! They are a fraudulent company that will put you and throw you into the bus! I threw them under the bus and sent in documentation proving that what they sent in was incorrect. What a shameful organization and owners of this establishment! You should be ashamed with supported you when you bought the bar.. and you have treated your customers like they are less than! You are the less than about taking advantage of the community! Shame on you for being a horrible representation of what a bar owner should be you are worthless.. like you treated me!

Me and a friend went here last night for karaoke. We reached around 9 and it was pretty quiet. People started coming in after 10. My karaoke experience has been great as well. The staff are very nice too. My friend ordered some food which was pretty good quantity for the price we paid. Would recommend this place for karaoke. They have no designated parking, so street parking it is!
