Was visiting the Parx casino and came here for dinner. Huge place with a full bar and an entrance to the beer garden. Service was great and very friendly. Food was very good as well. The rotisserie chicken hot and honey was delicious. The wings were great. No one left hungry or thirsty!

What an interesting spot, Liberty Bell Gastropub. The number of odd interactions I saw at the bar here at 7pm were numerous including a patron that was insanely angry that she could not order take out as it was a day that a show was being had at Parx and was informed you cannot order take out before 8pm due to the show being held and it being busy. No doubt this was policy and not the bartender's decision, the patron said Well what if i order it take one f-ing bite and then take it home. She went on to do this and it was an extremely awkward interaction to say the least. Follow that up with a couple at the bar that looked like a man in his late 50's dining with what looked to be a prostitute, to say they did not look like the typical pairing would be the understatement of the year. Two of my friends and I selected this restaurant as there really are not other viable options before the show we were attending at 8pm and all of us agreed Chickie and Pete's is overpriced sodium loaded slop, and we didn't even check to see the wait as we all had no interest in going there. We started with what the menu lists as "house made" chicken tenders. These were actually not bad however the sauces that came with were ranch and some other sauce that was not buffalo but quite a rather odd taste, not my fav for sure. Next up was what imo was the most interesting item on the menu, Pastrami Poutine with a fried egg, gravy, sauerkraut and onions. It was a bit fatty but lots of flavor on this dish. The gravy did taste like something that had perhaps 400% of the sodium you are allotted to have according to the food pyramid, but I do not think you care about that if you are opting for this appetizer. End verdict is I liked this app but will officially start my diet after this guilty endeavor. I did order one healthy item, five oysters, to balance out one healthy item and one unhealthy item for the night : ) Oysters were decent and came with the typical accompaniments. So, to summarize my review of this spot, if you are landlocked for time and must dine at one of the Parx casino restaurants, I can understand you coming here. As always people SYOY!!!

We went for a celebrity dinner in the Parx Casino. Four courses, each paired with a beer from Victory brewing. First course was smoked mozzarella and ricotta fritters over tomato sauce. They were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Could have been seasoned better in my opinion. Next course was Orecchiette in a cream sauce with Italian sausage, rosemary and parmigian. The pasta was aldente and the sauce was cheesy and rich. The third course was chicken schnitzel with a frisee salad. The schnitzel was cooked nicely, it was crisp but was also underseasoned. The dessert was a butterscotch budino. It was a creamy custard with a crushed pretzel topping. If was the best part of the meal. Not sure I would do a celebrity meal there again. We didn't feel like it lived up to the billing.

Let's get the good out of the way first, which is the only thing deserving of the one star- we both had the rotisserie chicken and it was very good. The cheesesteak dumplings were as basic as one would assume, but they were well prepared. Service- Our bartender was Andrew on Saturday, 11/16, and it was the worst service, start to finish, I or we as a couple have had in years. I don't know if the word aloof even covers it all. First, he served my partners martini and it was only half of what it should have been. literally only half of a standard pour for that cocktail. She is a wildly patient person, so let it slide. Upon ordering a second round, she did request that he make it a full pour and it was right the second time. Then, the appetizer came out the same time as our entrees. Upon him asking if everything was good, I pointed out the matter to him. No apology. Not a word by him other than "Oh." Walked away. He disappeared for about ten minutes and then after reappearing, had his back to us while rolling silverware and didn't address us again until my partner requested a water. My beer glass was empty for at least half an hour and by the time he came around again I was finished with my meal and didn't even want to bother with him. As we were going to see a band in the casino after dinner, however, my date ordered a round for both of us to go. I got my beer and then her drink sat half-made, in a cup, while he got distracted by something else. After about five minutes, as we were about to attempt to get his attention, we saw the lightbulb in his head go on and he grabbed the cup and said that he forgot with half of a laugh. As we got up to leave, we noticed that the people who had been sitting next to us had left a jacket on one of the bar stools. We brought it to his attention, at which point he should have taken it to the hostess desk. Instead, he shrugged at us and said, "Oh, well." I worked in the industry for many years, and still, days later, I cannot tell if they just hire anyone there without regard to skill and experience and he just doesn't know how to do his job, or is just that bad at it, or just doesn't care. Unfortunately, my partner is someone who rewards servers/bartenders with the same generous tip whether the service was great or horrible, so he's lucky I didn't get the bill that evening.

My boyfriend and I always enjoy sitting at the bar because the bartenders are so attentive. They also offer weekly specials that are both satisfying and delicious. Plus, the restaurant has a really attractive aesthetic. It's inside of the Parx Casino.

We were told the wait time was 1 hour. We would get a text. Totally reasonable. After an hour and a half I asked the hostess when we would be seated. She said "let me go clear a table for you" she seats us and there were at least 15 tables vacant and already cleared. I asked for the drink menu, picked one and the waitress said that's not available (Saturday night 8pm) nothing was available on the drink menu except one vodka drink. Out of 10 listed options. And the $3.95 per oyster. I got 6. 3 of the oysters were barely visible in the shell. The size of my pinky nail at best. The other 3 were delicious. But I paid for 6...not 3. Very disappointed in this restaurant. Inside Parx were people spend a LOT of money. Never eating at any Parx again. I'll go to the diner instead.

This place is a fairly new addition to Parx and most people overlook it, as it is tucked in the corner as far from the food court as you can get. It is a sports bar with the square bar (like in Cheers), with plenty of big screen TVs. They have happy hour drink and food specials from 9pm to 11pm. The wings are great, but the best offering on the happy hour menu is the Smokehouse Burger. Actually, it can be hit or miss. The first few times I ordered it, it came with thick strips of candied bacon which were phenomenal. The last few times, it only had a couple of scraggly pathetic strips of mediocre bacon. I know they have the good stuff, because if you whine about the skimpy strips, they will give you the goods. The bartenders are all great, but Stefanie and Charlotte took care of me today (including charging my almost dead phone). They are both sweethearts, if I were twenty years younger, I would be hitting on (and getting rejected by) both of them. All in all, it is a great place with good food and great service. Check it out next time you are near Bensalem. I downgraded my review from 5 stars to 4. I don't know if the managers read the reviews (I doubt it), but I hope they do. The reason for the downgrade is two-fold. First, they used to have a great menu item, schnitzel, which was also on their happy hour menu. I was talking it up to some newcomers, and was informed they no longer serve it, which is disappointing. A month later, it is still on their happy hour menu, so it is repetitively disappointing. Second, one of my alternate choices is their Jamaican Jerk Wings. Also on their happy hour menu. I was just informed they are out of them. This is about the fifth time they have been out of something I wanted t It seems, on any given day, you have about a 50% chance whatever you order, you won't be getting. Management needs to make better decisions and be more aware.

Drinks were good. Food was not the best. Worst crab I've ever eaten, chicken tenders were so dry. The wings and the friend chicken sandwich were good. Service wasn't bad. Ambiance is fine. Nothing exciting.
