So in the continued search for the best pizza in the area, I ordered from here the other evening. The menu is extensive, with surprising offerings such as Clams Posillipo and sauteed mussels. I ordered the margarita pie and a cheese steak with fried onions and pizza sauce. I use these as my baseline for any pizza place I eat at. The cheese steak was OK. I wasn't thrilled with the finely chopped meat that is used, as with the addition of sauce the whole thing tasted more like a sloppy joe than a cheese steak. Tasty, but not what I was expecting, or would really 100% want. The Margarita pie was a nice size, with plenty of cheese, sauce and fresh basil. The only caveat here? The sauce. The sauce here is very strong, with garlic and oregano jumping out and kicking your butt all around your living room. On a pie with sausage or pepperoni this would probably be awesome, leaving you in a spicy sensory overload. On this pie, with the delicate fresh mozzarella involved, not so much. Delivery was slow. I was told 30-40 minutes, it was an hour plus, and they are under 1/2 mile from my home. So it's a yes I would try it again, but probably not soon.

Previously, this place was a wonderful seafood restaurant - I loved their food and was sad to see it go. Casa di Luzio has been around for a couple years, and I've never ordered food from them before. Tonight was the first, and last. The driver got lost in the 12 block journey to my house. He called me 45 minutes after I had placed the order to ask me where my house was. I had previously explained to the woman on the phone what major roads I was by. The bags were soaked through to the bottom, and ripping apart because the mussels in white sauce weren't packaged properly, and appeared to have been sliding across this kids' backseat. They were tiny, overly salty, crunchy(?) and generally tasted horrible. The Cheesesteak was TERRIBLE. The 10" roll had maybe a half-lb of steak on it, the bread was squishy/mushy, the American cheese tasted overly processed and fake, and the meat was too well cooked - almost chewy. It was the worst cheesesteak I've had in my entire life. I had a piece and a half of their chicken fingers before tossing the rest out - they were dry, overly deepfried, and as chewy as rawhide. The amount of fries that came with it was depressing - about a handful - but that was alright, since I had one and threw the rest out. The chicken finger & fries appetizer costs $6, the cheesesteak cost $7, and the mussels cost $7 - all in all, I won't ever eat stuff from this place again - not even while drunk or hungover, no matter how hungry I may be - save your money. Most depressing meal I've ever had.

Good neighborhood place -- We've ordered pizza for delivery before and I have to agree with the other reviewer regarding speed and taste. The restaurant is decent atmosphere-wise, although it can get noisy with the bar and occasional entertainment. I've enjoyed all of my meals here -- My boyfriend has had a couple he hated, but he's decided he isn't a fan of their red sauces -- Anything he's had without red sauce, he has thoroughly enjoyed. The last time I was at Casa Diluzio, I opted for the Eggplant Saltimbocca which was on special and we both agreed it was a taste explosion -- I'd DEFINITELY order it again! We'll certainly be back!
