Whenever Im in Philadelphia, this is a guaranteed stop. The chicken wings are some of the best Ive had. Great snack to have before heading in to Reading Terminal!

Today, 9/22/16, I went back to Crown Fast Food and I bought an Italian hoagie. It's a 10 or 12 inch hoagie for $6. I was asked if I wanted "everything" on it, to which I replied "yes!" So "everything" is lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. I asked for oil and vinegar as well. The good news: fresh, crisp vegetables, decent amount of meat, fresh roll - overall a pretty good hoagie, well-worth the price. The bad news: the presentation of the hoagie was off - it looked like whoever made the hoagie never made one before and was watching an online "how to" video while making it. The ingredients were not spread out evenly over the roll - so it was thick in the center but as I ate toward the edge, it was mostly bread. There was barely any oil and vinegar on it. Also, in addition to pickles (or really instead of pickles) I would have preferred hot peppers. A most horrendous hoagie crime was committed as well: the roll was split in half! This is a huge no-no in my book! Another big time no-no that will not be tolerated: the person making the hoagie did not wear gloves! The owner was present today - I informed him of this violation. I have it on good authority that others have mentioned to the owner that the employees are not wearing gloves sometimes. FIX THIS NOW! So... it looks like the bad outweighs the good here... BUT, I am remaining hopeful because many of these things are easy to fix: don't split the roll, spread out the ingredients better, use more oil and vinegar, and WEAR GLOVES! This is a new business and I think the employees need more experience and/or training. I am trying to be reasonable in my expectations in hopes that things get better sooner than later. Thank you for reading this. As I go back to Crown Fast Food I will make more reviews based on what I ate.
