Terrible service!!! We reserved a moving truck 3 months out to move my sick father who is going on hospice from Pennsylvania to Virginia. On the moving day we woke up at 3 am and drove 6 hours to Harrisburg only to be told they have no trucks for us. The woman at the counter didn't even apologize. She said "corporate should have called". But nobody called!!! When she got to work that day and saw they have no trucks, why didn't she call?! I asked her if she could locate one for us at a different location, but she said "no, you need to call them yourself". So I was on hold with their 1-800 number for 20 minutes, and they finally came on the line and did me a "favor" by not charging me a cancellation fee!!! Preposterous! Thank God for U-Haul down the street who came through for us at the last minute and were amazing! U-Haul now gained a customer for life and Budget lost one!

The rental car, which was a Rav-4 was just fine. Clean and delivered properly. The problem was the clerks. Horrible attitudes. I was renting this vehicle for my neighbor and his elderly mother. To make the story short, upon arrival, the elderly mother used their restroom in back. That was nice of them to allow. I really paid little attention. They went on their trip to Ocean City for four days, and, this afternoon, I arrived mid-afternoon to pick them up at the budget location. I was early and I drove an hour and needed to use the restroom so I asked the black girl if they had a restroom. She told me they had no public facility and that I would have to go across the street. I was going to Popeyes chicken anyhow so it was no problem. About 20 minutes later my friend and his mom showed up. At the same time, Tom, who had walked his mother to the bathroom four days earlier, went and used your non-public restroom without asking. I know he thought it was okay because his mother had used it Monday. Another clerk, white heavyset girl in her 20s, and claimed to be the manager, came out telling me I wasn't supposed to use the bathroom I told her I didn't. She kept on and on, so finally I got angry and yelled back at her. This kept up for 15 minutes. She threatened to call the police and I told her please do so. Long story short, if that's your manager, you're in trouble. Hire some pros to work for you. Look at your reviews. It's pitiful. I'm retired now, but, when I worked in San Jose, Ca I always rented from budget and received good service-never a complaint. Good luck! The nose-ring in her nose is a bit much. Very unprofessional appearance on all these reps.

We rent from multiple car companies several times a year. This is the first and only time a rental company has tried to fraudulently charge us. We rented a car from Budget at PHL and drove it directly to this location due to a delayed flight. We were fine paying for the 1/4 tank of gas we used. It was 108 miles. They charged us for 5/8 of a tank - saying we used all but 3/8 to drive 108 miles. They had no one at the location to return the car to, so we used the key drop, which I assume is their tactic - if you aren't there when they check the car in, they can lie about anything and charge whatever they want. Called six times. No answer. Left a voicemail, but will be reporting to my credit card company and to the Attorney Generals office for fraud. Incredibly dishonest way to try to get extra money out of people. UPDATE: it has been 48 hours since I left a voicemail with this location. Zero attempts to return my call. It has been 24 hours since I messaged to the Budget email address that was left as a reply to my Google review. Zero response. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. THEY ARE ARE CONDUCTING BUSINESS FRAUDULENTLY. SECOND UPDATE: Called again, after 48 hours of no response. Supervisor was extremely rude. Said it was already correct (it hasn't been, AmEx confirmed no refunded requests have been processed), it was my fault for not giving them time to contact me (left a voicemail 48 hours ago, zero attempts to call me), and then he proceeded to hang up on me.

Tried to charge me 400 dollars to vacuum sand. What a ripoff!!! I have rented hundreds of cars and never was charged for sand. How on earth is vacuuming worth $400?

This place is a SCAM ! Stay away they are unorganized , unprofessional and charge like crazy. They will leave your car and truck anywhere and not have it ready. Especially if you're planning on renting a moving truck they will not have it for you and still want your money

Rented a car in July. I was charged $500 for a cleaning fee because they said I smoked in the car. I DID NOT! Said they found a ash on the carpet. Kiwana Byrd sent me a picture of one little ash. But said that because they "found" it I would be charged. Stay far away from this place. It's NOT a Budget rental, it is a franchise. I give it an -1 star

I don't know why this place has bad reviews. The people at Budget were able to accommodate me as a young driver when I needed to rent a car. I was in and out of the place in 20 minutes with a sweet Ford Focus they brought right to me. Check in was rather seamless with no issues. You definitely need to have your insurance card with you: I left mine in my car in California. Pretty standard rental policy like not driving it across international borders and no smoking. I'm dropping the car off at the airport, so I can't speak to the drop off process, but from observation that seemed rather painless too. I've dealt with terrible rental companies, this isn't one.

Its a classic "Bait and Switch". They lure you in with the low prices and get you with the forced extra charges. I was threatened to be put on a national NO RENT list for simply and professionally disputing the extra charges. Basically telling you, pay us or we will ban you from all of our affiliate businesses. The cold and unprofessional customer service is just the icing on the cake. They go out of their way to make you feel un important.

Do not go here. I've always had fantastic experiences with Budget, but this location is an exception. Just go to the airport location.

WOW - the reviews for this place are awful - and here's one more. They tried to charge me for damage to the car that was already on the car when I took it. I noted the damage at pickup and they just waved me out the door. At return, they said I caused the damage and proceed to lecture me like a small child. I kept asking what I needed to do as this was a corporate rental for my company but she just kept on lecturing me, blaming me, and telling me all the things I did wrong. I tried to ask again what to do next - but she just kept going about this being my responsibility. I ended up walking out after about 4 mins of her disrespect. I can't believe this employee still works there, she has NO customer service skill and sounds like all the bad reviews here are about her. I rent cars about 12 times a year and this place is walking distance from my house and yet I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE.
