I love everything about fig except for the two hour maximum. If it's packed that's one thing but if it's not be easyyyyyyy. So fig Is BYOB which I love cuz it's up to you now lit you get! Hookah be pulling. It's $20 and some change to get in and this includes a hookah, a cup with some ice, and a water. Sounds like a great starter pack to meeee yeah boi! Ample parking, solid bathrooms. Remember they sell no liquor. You can buy like ginger ale and other chases. They Also have bar like food to sop up all the liquor! Overall a solid hookah spot.

I went here yesterday. First of all, Google says open at 5pm but they didn't open until 6pm. Fix that. A lady made our hookah I ordered white grape mint and it wasn't pulling. You know after maybe 10-12 hits, a hookah should be pulling...! We tell the woman our complaint and she gives us another hookah head this time it was blue mist. No change, it was not pulling. I've been smoking and making hookahs since 2013. I don't smoke it anymore but wanted to yesterday, just reminded me how it's not worth the money. It's $20 a person, street parking, byob, and a two hour chill limit.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden lounge in Jenkintown. I was surprised to see how well decorated and comfortable it was once you are inside. On the outside, I was very skeptical about it, but once in, I really appreciated it. It was HUGE lounge, lots of walking space, comfortable chairs and lots of room for you and your friends. The lights were also nice, the Arabic inspired decor was on point. I went on a Friday night and they had a DJ. The music was nice but I wish it was just a little more versatile...I wanted to sing along, but did not know any of the songs. My friends and I did not order food, but we did get hookah. The hookah was ok at first, but when I told the waiter it needed fixing, it was fixed and fine after that. My only concern, the waiter did not come to check up on us once, they didn't even change the coals on our hookah ONCE. I was mildly irritated especially because the lounge wasn't busy yet, it starred getting busy at the time I was leaving. Overall though, the staff was nice and the vibe was very chill.

This place is DISGUSTING! $20 per person. OK NP. I ordered hookah and wings. 40mins later as i am sitting in the front i called for my wings. Mind you it's 3 of us and 4 times we have now mentioned one of the hookahs is not working. My wings come the guy asked me for 10$ i already paid when i ordered my hookah. He says that i didn't pay. And take the food back that i touched and ate a piece of. DISGUSTING! Service is DISGUSTING. I have been here a few times and each time i come reminds me why i should have went somewhere else. The USB is not shared but stationary to the group that sits closest to the speaker. It takes phone calls to the establishment to get additional coals and service. You ask for a manager the idiot says he is the manager. Lady comes and says today it's free for you! Sis i paid for it!!!! Idk where y'all carried this food to back and forth! I'm not eating it.

It's a BYO which is always great in my opinion and the overall energy is pretty chill. After a certain time, they have a DJ on the weekends also. The downside to this place is that they don't have much of a menu and the food they do have is just okay. If you're looking for a hookah spot to hang out with friends, I'd recommend - just make sure to eat before stopping in.

I want to like this place, and I do, I just won't go out of my way to go there. This is one of the older hookah joints in the area (that I know of, anyway) so they have a loyal customer base. The hookahs themselves are a little overpriced, and the pipes are often cracked with flimsy plastic hoses. Maybe I'm way out of line, but you'd think a hookah place (which is a luxury experience) would invest a little more in their equipment. Shisha offerings are just average; Al Fakher, Starbuzz, and a few other uninspiring brands. It's really dimly lit inside, and loud because of the acoustics. Service is hit or miss. However, the business model seems to work for them, so more power to them.

Some reviews on here are not great but I still came in here tonight just to see for myself. 1) bathrooms were fine- it wasn't as dirty as people said it was. Maybe it is dirty or whatever on certain nights 2) hookahs are at such a good price ! $10 for basic and $15 for Star buzz and cloud 9. Or it's $10-$15 per person for unlimited hookah! Good deal for either or 3) they have djs on the weekends and music is awesome! Reggae and r&b. You have to pay $2 per person as cover which is no biggie 4) they don't serve alcohol but it's byob!! 5) customer service - pretty good- they cleaned out our coals twice 6) bill- good price, gratuity was included 2 hookah, 1 bubble thing , 1 water bottle plus tip was $48. Pretty good for 4 people! Overall- I'll definitely come back to this hookah spot! Definitely recommend to those in the area! Overall- I will definitely come back,

Fig cafe is a great little spot, but maybe not for the faint of heart. It's tucked away very well and may require a few trips around the block to find, the ventilation is not the best, and the couches are indeed in slight disrepair, but...if you're looking for a cozy, casual place to smoke hookah and drink tea (in my case -- they are BYO and have a light menu) without spending a lot, it's perfect. The waitstaff is pleasant but again, casual (that is, they're not going to kiss your ass), and I found very attentive (it's a hookah bar, not McDonald's, everyone is supposed to be leisurely). The hookah itself was good, made well by you can tell veteran smokers (my only wish is that they used Coco Nara coals instead of quick light, but I'm just spoiled from smoking at home), and they do fruit bowls which I recommend, particularly mango Al Fakher with pineapple bowl, and the mint tea is delicious. Bottom line -- if you're looking for a low key, comfortable place to smoke, this place is perfect. If you want ultra plush decor and swanky waitstaff (and most likely, tiny, poorly packed bowls), go to Center City and pay three times as much.

I love this place as much for what it isn't, as for what it is. So many hookah bars today are trying to be nightclubs, which is fine if you are in the mood for loud music, and flashing lights. On those occasions when you aren't, though, it's nice to go to a place that is comfortable just being a hookah bar. The Fig Cafe is one of those places. The night we went we were pleasantly surprised to find a live jazz performance. It's possible that live jazz isn't keeping with the tradition of hookah lounges going back through the ages, but I am willing to indulge them this one violation. The jazz band was great, and I often myself nodding my head or tapping out the rhythm while still conversing with my companions. The space is a little run down, which accounts for the one-star deduction, but even that contributes to the feel of an authentic middle eastern hookah bar. Perhaps most important, is the great service we received from the staff. They were super-attentive to all of our needs, and made us feel right at home. I'm looking forward to going back.
