I've attended a few events here over the years, and have been here most recently as a guest at a 'killer' Halloween themed Bar-Mitzvah, and I must say, it's really a fantastic venue!! It's such a versatile place! From smaller conference rooms, studio spaces for one on one meetings, comfortable hotel rooms (reasonable priced, just a bit over a hundred) with all the amenities, and larger event rooms, too. I am really familiar with the event space downstairs. I've attended events and showcases in The Lafayette Ballroom. The room is large and can fit so many people. I believe 300. The ceilings are high and it's quite impressive. There's an outdoor area perfect for cocktail hour and an inclosed lounge area too. I've seen it draped, which is stunning and dramatic and left bare, showcasing the exposed bricks walls. Both gorgeous looks! This weekend, the party I was at took place in the lobby, which they decorated and draped how they wanted in their theme, in the downstairs bar area, and in the American Ballroom, which was much more intimate and cozy! The food here is catered strictly by Garces Events and is always a crowd pleaser. I've had tastes of a Cinco de Mayo themed event with mini churros and delicious baby tacos, a fancy event with gorgeous plated ceviches, lamb meatball skewers and other finer dining bites, and a casual buffet this past weekend. All different. All delicious! All events also included passed appetizers also. It seems like you could really create your own special menu here! The staff is wonderful! From the front desk helping me with information on a room, to the valet guys, to our waitress who introduced herself to our table at an our event, to the nice bartender who grabbed me a glass of club and lime long after the event was over, to the other friendly bartender mixing my signature smoking cocktail this past weekend, the entire staff have all been truly helpful, overly friendly and knowledgeable of their facility. The grounds here are gorgeous! There's a lush green golf course and even a helicopter pad for your rich friends haha. From the higher floors and the lobby entrance you can see for miles and it's stunning, especially lit up at night! It's also exceptionally beautiful in the fall from the higher floors! I would absolutely recommend CHUBB for a wedding or mitzvah celebration. It's a 'one stop shop', especially if you have guests from out of town. And I love the taste of Philly you get with Garces just outside the city! It's always a treat coming here!

The diet starts tomorrow? My sister had her wedding here years ago and a man named Fred did an amazing job keeping everything running smoothly... Not sure if he is still there, as this was ten years ago. Recently, I've been back for some meetings, including an all day meeting today. Wow, I was impressed last time when Wolfgang Puck ran the kitchen... Now Iron Chef Jose Garces group runs this place? Unreal... I arrived for my meeting and grabbed a quick continental breakfast. The meeting rooms were well organized, with notepads and pens for the guests. All of the equipment was working in all of the rooms and there were no technical issues at all. During one of our breaks, the breakfast food was gone, but candy and nuts were in it's place. Sweedish fish and almonds became my early morning snack. More meetings and then lunch time. We walk past the hotel section and I find out the food is now run by Jose Garces' group. There was a taco section, where they were making up these perfect little tacos. I was able to make my own corned beef sandiwch, along with homemade potato chips. I grabbed some fried chicken, pork tenderloin, and tortillas with guacamole. The pork was a little dry, but had great spicy flavor. Service excelled as waiters took our drink orders and pulled out chairs for guests to sit down. I decided to grab dessert and went with the pear cobbler with white chocolate sauce, but as soon as I sat down, I ran back to get one more short rib perfect taco. After eating that, I devoured the refreshing pear cobbler. Our next meeting would be starting soon, so we started back, but then we noticed an ice cream machine. Why not grab a small cone for the long walk back? well, I did. More meetings and then we had more snacks. A popcorn machine? Cheese, crackers? Waffles??? Amazing waffles with powedered sugar? I don't need dinner now, because I went to a conference at the Chubb center. Pure gluttony and now I have to wait until next year for my next meeting...

Stayed here on business for a night. the rooms are quite clean and my room had a balcony facing the golf course, with twinkling fireflies at night. The restaurant was also quite good. The food is supposedly locally drawn and conscious of diet, so lean meats, low fat, etc... The dinners are served in a buffet/entree style. So the salads and soup you help yourself to, but you order your entree off a menu. Had a lentil soup which hit the spot after a cross country flight. Salad was fresh. Ordered the poached salmon and it came with a nice creamy tomato sauce and a side of vegetables and fried potato. Desserts there is a selection as well from the bar. I tried the peach tart which was a little dry from being in the fridge, but overall for a conference center the food was quite good. This is a very relaxing scene to be at for a get-away. Or in my case for a quick stop into town. Either way, look out for fireflies at night, they'll be twinkling outside your room.

My boyfriend won a raffle prize of dinner for two here. Since it was about to expire in a week, we finally got around to making reservations to go. It's a conference center / banquet hall, not a restaurant, so it's hard to really rate. And it was hard to know what to expect. It was a bit of an odd prize in the first place, but hey, I don't look a free dinner in the mouth. We shared the dining room with a couple groups of business people, and it seems this is their usual clientele. Dinner was buffet style and included salad, raspberry and brie filled filo, chicken with stuffing, grilled tuna with mango salsa, fried rice with shrimp, breaded pork loin, veggies, candied yams, and dessert. Not bad. Salad veggies were really fresh. Candied yams and filo were my favorites. Tuna was kind of tough and not too tasty, chicken was a little dry. Berries for dessert were really good, which is especially surprising since November isn't berry season. I could have used some sprinkles on my fro-yo, but that's just me. Of course the best part of the meal was it's price tag. Included soda, coffee, tax, and tip. All of the staff were friendly too. I don't know if this review is very helpful since I don't think people really go here just to dine. But if you're going to be here for a conference or whatever, you probably won't starve.

I've had the opportunity to stay at ACE Conference Center twice for work. Both times were for a leadership conference. The facility is immaculate. The meeting rooms are very professional and have a classroom-style feel to them. The bedrooms are on the level of a 4-star hotel. The bed is extremely comfortable, with some of the best pillows I have laid my head on. The food is great. Depending on your package, you will have an array of options to choose from. Unless I'm mistaken, the desserts are/were made by the dessert chef at Le Bec Fin, which is now closed. There are "snack" areas outside of the meeting rooms, which provides conference attendees with the opportunity to grab something to eat in between meetings/workshops. I quoted snack because hot wings is not a snack. To me, this is another meal. If you're looking to have a meeting at a great facility no more than 20 minutes outside of Philly, I definitely recommend ACE Conference Center, as long as your budget will allow it. This place is definitely pricey.

I attended and spoke at a conference here but did not stay overnight in the hotel part. The conference facilities were very nice, well-equipped and comfortable. The breakfast and breaks had an abundance of well-stocked beverages and treats. I would definitely consider having a conference here.

Food was ok, but their policies were silly. For example, there's about 300 guests coming from New England, which they will probably come late, why close the kitchen at 10PM? This was equally silly as it was annoying. Drinks were ridiculously expensive, $12 bucks for a bottom shelf vodka drink. I pay less in Manhattan. The rooms were dated but clean and because it was both very cold and too much snow on the ground I couldn't enjoy the grounds. If it were up to me I'd have selected elsewhere for our conference must for their stupid policies alone. With the exception of the bartender the rest of the staff was less than impressive.

I was at this place as part of a improv gig for a conference. This place is huge! It looks like they could have a dozen conferences going on at the same time. The place is beautiful and gives a great view of the surrounding golf course. I hope to back again soon performing in one of their rooms.

Come for the conference space, stay for the food (but not the bar). My company just had a retreat here, and it was among the nicer places I've stayed for business. The bedrooms were comfortable (though very separate from the rest of the space so you basically had to pack your bag for the day), the meeting rooms were comfortable and well equipped (yay for still having chalkboards! Nice flashback), and the outdoor spaces were very well managed (even if they were swarming with bees!!) But the thing that would bump this place up for 4 stars is the FOOD. The dining room served extremely healthy and delicious vegetarian food - a rarity in this setting. From the omelette to the spinach and corn salad to the FIVE desserts at each meal, it was just incredible to the point of all getting food comas after each meal. The only major downside (minus one big star to 3) was the bartender - he was extremely rude to our party, served other guests well before my younger (21+) colleagues regardless of the fact that we had been waiting longer, threatened to close the bar an hour before our tab was due to run out, and was overall nasty each night, even after some friends gathered all the spare bottles and glasses from around the lobby to make his life easier. At the end of the night, you want to be greeted with someone who at least respects you - this bartender was anything but. (Also, no walking on the golf course is the most painful thing ever because the scene from every window is unbelievably beautiful.)
