I got a baby picture printed and framed for my wife's 60th birthday party. wasn't sure how to go about it. Carla came with some great suggestions, she took a few pictures we had and did her magic. she took a couple of photos, enhanced, and cropped them to clean op the photos and laid them out on a poster board, so everyone at the party could sign it. she also made a frame to display it. this went over so big. I am so happy I stopped in that frame shop. she did a great job! I will definitely use her again!! A customer for life!

I've been getting custom framing at shop for almost eight years since moving back to Philadelphia. I've also purchased several framed prints of Boat House Row. The quality of the work is outstanding and the pricing is very fair.

I first tried this shop when I received a coupon in the mail and saw they were taking donations for a dog rescue. I was happy to donate and took a chance on the framing. The framing was the best I have ever had. I had a piece that was about 50 years old and had been rolled up and creased for all that time. They took the time to carefully press and mount the piece and I cannot even put to words how beautiful the piece turn out to be. My biggest problem is that now I want all my pieces reframed! When they moved and ere closed for a month I tried another custom frame shop, and although they did a good job, the framing pales in comparison. This place is well worth the money.

Great service by the young lady at the counter. Accommodated me with my timeline , for a gift I was making. They framed it great, my arts looks beautiful now :) and my gf loved the gift!

I have had many photographs, paintings, antique primitive paintings on antique silk, and museum posters framed in 3 places in the Philadelphia area which I trust through my experience with them. Southwind Studio in Narberth under Francis Roux was the best there was. Fairmount Framing (N 25th Street, Philadelphia) was fabulous and right around the corner from where I lived at the time. I loved it. Today, for my money, The Frame Shop of Conshohocken is where I take anything that needs to be framed. I get straight answers and lessons in" art and framing it" history when there is a good reason why my first choice is not the best for what I'm framing. Carla is opinionated but she has a right to be. I have never asked for expedited service because I know how much work belonging to other people is in process. So I plan accordingly. Three weeks is a reasonable amount of time, although my work is usually completed before three weeks

Thank you for your explanation & your experience there from the above. I also use them & know the costs are high BUT that's due to the careful time & energy they put into each piece. I've had well over 10 items framed there & they would even point out things I didn't think of (like my husbands signed Eric Clapton drawing) for insurance reasons. They've educated me on how all the custom work I've had done I can put on my home insurance due to its value. I agree with the lady above that it's education of the items we bring in & I myself always learn something. I also am one that doesn't go for the basic framing or matting, I like a unique piece of art around my art :-) Thank you for your hard work ladies!

Carla and her team are absolutely the best framers in the region. They are caring, fairly priced and extremely professional. My large piece was framed to perfection and the mat matched the artwork perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about the Frame Shop - save your money and don't go to a quick-framer who will ultimately charge about the same in the longrun because your artwork, invites, posters, and more are something you may keep for a lifetime. They are the tapestry of your life and memories to last forever. Invest in the RIGHT frame and you will be forever grateful that you listened to me. .

Picking out a frame for a gift I gave my wife was an awful experience. Trying to up-sell is one thing, but I've never felt so railroaded in my life. I realize frames are expensive (I've spent hundreds of dollars at other frame stores several times before)... but I've never been treated so poorly. I asked a few simple questions about the matte and backing I should select, and while trying to choose a perfectly good (but cheaper) option, I was subjected to terribly condescending lectures about things like humidity and heat fluctuations... I was simply trying to buy some nice looking wood and a piece of glass, but instead I was made to feel like a cheapskate and I was talked to like an ignorant moron. They should rename this awful place The Frame Snobs of Conshohocken. I'm NEVER going back.

I walked into the shop and picked out a moulding literally within 3 minutes of having entered. My husband chose a mat board no more than 5 minutes later. The clerk spent the next 40 minutes trying to talk us out of those choices. It was exhausting. We have a rather extensive collection and have, over the course of the last 30 years, framed and matted roughly four dozen fine prints, antique posters, and paintings. Finally, as 4 o'clock neared (4 o'clock was quitting time) she said," just because I don't like it doesn't mean you can't do it". And there you have it. We asked her to write it up and inquired about lead time. She quipped, "3 weeks". Asked if it was possible to expedite her answer was an unequivocal "NO". Not even the pretense of studying the possibilities. Nothing. The whole process was a puzzling expression of passive-aggressiveness. My husband and I slept on it and decided to take the piece to another framer in a neighboring community. Who, by the way, thought our choices superb and got the piece back to us in less than 1 week. Their price (which included a $50 surcharge for expediting) only $9.14 higher than the price quoted by The Frame Shop. *The owner of the shop called this evening and offered a sincere and much appreciated apology for this unfortunate episode. I have to say, in my book, that counts for something. She also expressed a serious interest in correcting the problem. And that deserves to be noted here.

I brought in five very unique sports jerseys, consisting of both basketball and football. Not being 100% sure about several ideas including what frame matches the jerseys, the spacing, how to fold the jerseys, etc., the team at the Frame Shop of Conshohocken was extremely helpful, professional, and friendly in the design and framing of each jersey. The end products were truly amazing and are going to look incredible hung up. The overall experience at the Frame Shop of Conshohocken was great and I couldn't of asked for better work to be done! Bottom Line: Any kind of project or framing you need done, whether sports jerseys, art work, etc., the Frame Shop of Conshohocken is unquestionably the place to go!!!
