I was in the mood for Mexican food so my boyfriend found this restaurant online. We stopped in on Saturday afternoon for lunch since we weren't far away while doing some errands in the area. There are four or five tables. I'm guessing they more take out than dining in. Our waitress was friendly and professional. She left a pitcher of water at the table, which I always like. We started with beef empanadas which were great! We both ordered chimichangas. Mine was with beef and my boyfriend had chorizo. We enjoyed everything and the presentation was very nice!

Another somewhat hidden gem found! Level: unlocked! My friend and I took a couple hours this afternoon to bop around the Adventure Aquarium and had a hankering for Mexican food afterwards. I'm so glad we chose this place. 2 pm on a Monday: A sunny little taqueria with those classic plastic tabletops and colors and streamers and flags hung about. It wasn't busy but for a couple of regulars in the corner (and you can tell they're regulars by the way they order.) You know those places you walk in and can immediately tell it's authentic? It's one of those. The woman working the FOH was lovely and we joked about the random Christmas music that had come on over the radio. I ordered several items and she got it all perfectly. We ordered some chips and salsa for the table (apologies for the photo, we ate half the bowl before I took it) and it was just enough to get our ravenous selves to the main course. I had a hefty steak burrito packed with rice and cheese, lettuce, sour cream and pico and it was so good! So flavorful! The steak was so good I would have eaten it alone! Friend got shrimp tacos and rated them 4/5 mainly because there wasn't more sauce available. Although I don't think she ended up asking, so take that with a grain of salt. We both loved it and even got tiny dessert cups for after, which satisfied that pesky sweet tooth you get after a majorly satisfying meal. Maybe even share one with a companion if you're full, because they're rich!

Carne asada hard tacos were very good. I took my food home. I enjoyed my meal with guacamole on the side. My meal was flavorful. I will be back soon. Service was polite and quick . Small restaurant was clean. Thank you, again.

Really good food, great service. Everyone in there is so nice. Today we got a chicken burrito, nachos with refried beans and 3 tacos. I didn't get any pics of the tacos because we ate them too fast. Highly recommend this place, it's great.

I saw a Taco Tuesday deal advertised on Instagram at Avocado Fiesta in Merchantville today for 10 mini tacos for $10. Sounded like an amazing deal! I walked up to the counter and asked for the Taco Tuesday deal! I ordered the al pastor, carne asada, and carnita . The woman at the counter had a pleasant tone and was very nice. After a slight wait, these 4 came out and I just figured they were going to bring me the rest out as I was finishing these off. The meats were tender to the bite and had good flavor. Even the Al Pastor tacos had little bits of pineapple. The verde and red salsa had a nice bite of heat to them. Personally I would had liked a bit more onion and cilantro ontop but that's okay. The tacos were 2 biters and in a short time they disappeared in my big ol belly. I waited about another 20+ minutes and no more tacos came out... I went up and asked if the rest of the were coming out and I was told my order only had 4 and was asked if I wanted dessert... I answered no and informed the special I saw on their Instagram was 10 tacos for $10. I was informed those were for the mini tacos and I got the 4 tacos and a can of soda special for $11 and change. This special wasn't advertised in their menu, in the store, or online. I wouldn't even say that I wouldn't recommend Avocado Fiesta, I would just say make sure you are clear as day with what you are ordering.

Semi-new spot that opened during the pandemic in a spot that has been a bunch of different things that never sticks. Hoping this place works out because we really enjoyed it on the several occasions we've tried it! So far we've tried and liked the birra tacos, empanadas (some of the best I've had in the area!), the supreme nachos, the tacos al pastor, and the burrito (you choose meat, beans, and veggies). They also have an attached bakery but we haven't tried anything yet.
