Got the coconut French toast -- it was really good! Sweet, but not too sweet. The sauces and fruits paired really well. Service was really nice as well. Very cozy and homey environment.

We've been here countless times for breakfast but sad to say we don't frequent here anymore. I feel it is overpriced for what you get. Portions are small. We always left kinda feeling hungry still. And breakfast was always well over $40 for just the two of us. I will say that the homefries are THE best thing to eat here. Cooked perfectly with shallots. Coffee is alright too. But everything else is just ok. Food sometimes takes awhile and when it arrives- it's cold. I'd come back maybe if it was cheaper, warmer food, and slightly bigger portions? Staff aren't overly friendly either, they always seem kind of annoyed when people walk in. Idk I've heard their lunch is good but we've never been.

Zakes was not what I expected. It was better than what I expected. There was a long line to get in on a Saturday, however, they turn over tables like hot cakes. We were seated within 5-6 minutes and were served fast too. They have all your great brunch items and then some. Don't forget your dessert! What we snagged: -Breakfast Burrito (Filled with egg...was a little cold on the inside) -House Benedict (Flavorful, but again...cold. The toast served with it was kinda stale.) What was great was their home fries. Crispy and warm. Well def be back, but maybe not on a wild weekend? Seems like they prep a lot of items, keep them warm-ish, and serve.

The owner is very nice and I like her alot but the food is just OK if it doesn't come out burnt. The service here really really sucks . I have came back 3 times to support it but it's just so many other BETTER brunch spots that deserve our money.

Everything I have eaten at this restaurant has been delicious. The menu is expansive and varied in its offerings with many creative dishes. The restaurant is popular and does get crowded so patience is sometimes required. The desserts are divine.

Door and website say cafe closes at 3:30. Arrived at 3:10 to order something to go and was told kitchen was closed. As I walked out they locked the door. They should just update their closing time.

Our tennis team had a lovely celebratory lunch today at Zake's and everything about it was wonderful. The service was friendly and fast (I had to leave early and they brought out my soup first and the food came out very quickly thereafter). Between us we had the chicken mushroom rice soup, Reuben, BLT, Southern BLT, chicken salad sandwich - and everything came with a side of salad and potato salad (which was delicious). The place is cute with pretty glass designs on the windows and bright light airy rooms. The only downside is the place is not super handicap accessible - our friend on crutches had to hop up and down 5+ steps (there is a ramp, but the ramp leads to a few stairs to get into the restaurant).

I went here for lunch on a Monday with a friend who been here years ago. It was pretty packed but we got a table quickly. My friend and I both had the make your own omelette which we both enjoyed. The ingredients were generously portioned and delicious. We both got the home fries which I was pretty excited to find for a weekday lunch. They were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. They come with some fried onions mixed in, and I really enjoyed the potatoes. I saw some reviews about the eggs Benedict on top of toast. I LOVE eggs Benedict, and I would have gotten that, but I saw the people next to me had this and it was on top of what looked like dry toast. That was a no for me. Maybe it's good but I like mine on a muffin. Or, maybe a biscuit. I left with some carrot cake which was only $5 for a generous slice. It was ok. Nothing to rave about but a solid carrot cake for sure. The service was very nice. Our server was quick and pleasant. I don't remember anyone checking in on us, but we didn't need anything so it all worked out. I'd go back if in the Ft Washington area. If you know Sabrina's in Philadelphia, this felt a little bit like that to me.

A great brunch spot! We didn't anticipate it being so crowded here, but that just means the food is great! We ordered and our food came out quickly. The waitress was accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. The menu is expansive- I love the make your own omelette option. The ingredients were fresh. Our kids loved the single pancake option. The only thing that wasn't great was the coffee. It was pretty ... not great. But that's ok, there are some awesome coffee shops nearby and everything else is pretty perfect.
