We tried this restaurant because we were staying in the hotel. The restaurant was mostly empty which was fine with us. To be honest, we were not disappointed in the food at all. The bartender had double duty and also served the tables, and did a good job. The meals were delicious and plentiful. I got the shrimp tacos, which were large, and a side of fries, which were also good. My wife got a steak and cheese which was also huge, and my son got fried butterfly shrimp and they gave him a lot! I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're staying in the Double Tree hotel. Their warm chocolate chip cookies at the front desk don't hurt things either.

Redz is located within the absolutely beautiful Double Tree hotel. We had a light dinner - French Onion soup and their version of Caesar salad. The soup was delicious, and I think made with another cheese other than Comte - it didn't "pull." The salad was pretty good. I got added shrimp - not seasoned the best. Also cheapie croutons. At least the staff was exceptional. I learned that they have live music on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday. Maybe I'll stop by to enjoy and pick up a man lol.

Try the ghost pepper smoked old fashioned. Flavor is excellent! Great service and recommendations from Wayne. They have live music some evenings as well. Will definitely come again.

Stepping in here to give a more recent review. We are staying at the Doubletree and decided to stay in for dinner at Redz. We had been traveling pretty much all day. And it was very cold out tonight. I had the grilled bone in pork chop. It was just perfect. It was a big, thick chop. Grilled perfectly. It was cooked through but not at all dry. It was tender, moist and perfectly seasoned. Served hot. On a bed of very good mashed potatoes with grilled broccoli on the dish. This restaurant is a bourbon place. We don't drink so that doesn't matter to us. The chef has developed a beautiful bourbon barbecue sauce. Very unique. Not hot or spicy but great flavor. But very well balanced. The sauce glazed the pork chop. I don't like glopped on barbecue sauce that masks the flavor of the meat. This sauce was just perfect. A nice glaze that complimented the grill seasoning. Delicious. I would treat this place as a destination restaurant and not just a convenience. My husband had the Philly steak and cheese sandwich. This was a good 12 inch sandwich thick with shaved meat. He had it with everything. He cleaned the plate in silence. I don't know much about such sandwiches but he really enjoyed this one. BTW he is sort of a Philadelphia guy so he knows Gino's. He got the side salad instead of fries. This salad was very big. Fresh crisp fancy lettuce with lots of fresh salad stuff on top. He pronounced it excellent. So our expectations were far exceeded. They had live music. The female vocalist was excellent. A perfect background for this excellent meal. I should take away a star for very slow service. But I won't. I think the kitchen just takes their time with each meal. Be prepared to wait about 30 minutes for food. The wait was worth it. Our server was a delight. She kept our drinks filled and stopped by the table with the right frequency. The kitchen could be faster but not to sacrifice the quality of the food. So order a drink, relax and be prepared to be wow-ed.

Came out here for a weekend business trip. I was utterly shocked when I received great and attentive service while dining. Breakfast lunch and dinner was great. Breakfast is a typical buffet with a chef in the back whipping up fresh delicious omelettes. Despite the 20 tree guys here to dine or drink the service was spectacular. Great job! Super clean and welcomed upon entering!

My husband and I stopped in to have a drink and fell in love with the Tiramisu Old Fashioned- oh wow! Amazing! The bartenders, Wayne and Diana were attentive, communicative and friendly! A great surprise! Who knew?! Worth a trip to a little quiet niche! As a bonus there was great music! Tired of the usual? Try Redz!

I had the Cobb salad with chicken. The salad was plentiful and the chicken had a good flavor. For a hotel restaurant it was reasonably priced and the portion size was filling. Besides the lettuce it had avocado, a boiled egg, arugula, cucumbers, tomatoes, red cabbage, onions, and bacon bits. Would recommend asking for some additional salad dressing. I would buy it again next time I stay at the hotel.
