First, I need to clarify that 99% of this review is directed at Wawa corporate, not Wawa Narberth. Re the 1%: cucumber slices are aging out when they begin to look glassy, approaching some transparency. Freshly sliced cucumber should be milky white and not glassy looking. Do better with your product rotations, Narb. Re the 99%: Wawa corporate, I know that the hoagies I get from your stores are never going to match a real hoagie made at an Italian deli. Example: John's Village Market in Wayne or the Holy Grail of anything I'd get at the Italian Market or in SoPhilly. That's ok. All I'm expecting is a good sandwich with fresh ingredients that's a good value. I can usually rely on just that. Not with the chicken salad (and probably not with tuna or egg salads, either). I know your model is three scoops of the salad and I know you're expecting customers are going to add lettuce, etc., but this is still a ridiculously small amount of chicken salad for a 10-in roll. This hoagie isn't worth $6. It's mostly roll and a roll costs, retail, about 69 cents. Those cucumber slices, 6 of them, cost a few cents. You can't tell me 3 small scoops of mostly mayo, celery, and scallions is a few dollars worth. No. It isn't. You need to do better.

The Penn Valley Wawa has re-opened and it is back and better than ever. Everything has been improved upon including the addition of a new custom coke machine, a hand spun milkshake bar and increased breakfast options. However, the things that make this Wawa great remain. The healthy options, how convenient it is and the friendly staff. I will take this Wawa over any 7/11, gas station store or another Wawa. The Penn Valley Wawa is on the way towards downtown Narberth and Bala Cynwyd so it is usually packed during the week. However, the fantastic staff keep the lines running smoothly. Another great thing about this Wawa is the parking, which is very easy compared to other local Wawas. Food wise, this Wawa is great. Fresh takeaway items, refreshing drinks and homemade hoagies and hand spun milkshakes. The renovations have resulted in some more coffee and soda options. Hoagie wise, I feel that Wawa always does a solid job. However, I have always preferred Subway or a true Philly hoagie compared to Wawa's hoagies. However, with a new kitchen and the Bryn Mawr Subway closed this may be my new go to hoagie spot. The store is always well kept by the staff. If you come enough they will eventually get to know you by name. It gives this Wawa a mom and pop feel. This Wawa is always well stocked with utensils, condiments and garnishes. Finally, this is the only Wawa where every staff member knows how to use the Wawa app. I love the renovations and I can't wait to return!

You can really never go bad with Wawa. It's always a great choice wherever you go. This one is no exception good food selection, always clean. The service by all of the associates are friendly fast and professional. I stop here occasionally and never had a bad experience.

I love and support this Wawa so much, whilst we might have had our bad times together regarding the old management I can confidently say I love Narberth Wawa as if it was family. This place has brought me good and bad times, but mostly good. This Wawa formed fond friendships and memories that I will never forget. If you are ever in the area I 100% recommend this Wawa. The staff are amazing and the food is as good as fast food gets. Much love.

COVID-19 Safety alert for those who care. The cashier was not wearing a mask, and the two employee's at the food prep area were wearing a mask improperly. (Did not cover nose). Customers were openly violating company mask policy in front of management. Management did nothing.

OMG the cheeseburger I got there was spectacular! The store clean- aisles wide and well-marked. Parking- pretty easy! But the cheeseburger------!

The Gold Standard for Convenience Stores Nobody does it better than Wawa. Very well managed and operated. Excellent food preparation and execution. Soft pretzels daily! Dedicated staff, always with a friendly greeting (at least in Penn Valley, Ardmore, and Conshy). Fair prices. Great specials on hoagies. Great coffee selection -- sorry Sbucks. Tastykakes always in stock...... Even the Wawa on 38th and Spruce, where the store is packed 20 hours a day, manages to put out a good product. There's even salads, fruit, and yogurts for the diet conscious.

My wife and I went in at 11pm (this Wawa closes at midnight) and ordered a cheesesteak with a few extra items on it that brought the sandwich to almost $10. We were the only two customers in the whole entire place, just us two and five employees. We then spent at least five minutes deciding on our beverages and snacks. We payed for everything, and then went to the deli counter to pick up our sandwich at which point one of the employees behind the counter said that there was no hot food available anymore and asked if we would like a cold deli sandwich instead? We said "no thank you, we'll just go somewhere else." Then she asked "Do you want a refund?" We said "Well...yeah of course we want a refund." She then told another employee that we needed a refund. He said "great! Refunds! I LOVE doing refunds!!" He said this VERY, VERY sarcastically. My wife laughed and jokingly said "yeah, and I love waiting for food that I bought but you did not serve us. You sass me I'll sass you right the f*** back! She said this while smiling and laughing (although in actuality, we were both kind of annoyed at this point). 'Douglas', apparently the "manager" on duty said "I'd appreciate if you don't curse out my employees." We had no idea how to respond to this. We got our money back and left to go somewhere else. My wife kind said something like "Really?" at which point Douglas said "I can kick you out, I have the authority to do that." to which I replied "Go ahead and kick us out, just give me my money back first." He said nothing, just continued to look down (never once did he make anything close to eye contact with either of us). Not once was there any "I'm sorry, we are no longer serving hot anything." We were met with nothing but rudeness. Between my wife and I, we've been in the customer service industry for roughly 25 years so we realize that problems happen, but what really matters is how the problem is handled and this situation was not handled well at all. If they had simply told us in the five minutes that we, as the only people in the store, browsed the store everything would have been fine. Instead they waited until we had payed and then acted like sarcastic little children when they had to issues a refund. None of the five of them were doing anything else. That is unacceptable.
