Living near this place is a nightmare. Plays EXTREMELY LOUD HOUSE RATTLING music ALL hours of the day, all seasons. Golfers are extremely loud and disrespectful. I have called several times to ask to reduce the level of music and microphones (which I can CLEARLY HEAR every wedding speech over the last 10 years from over 1000 yards away) They NEVER pick up thr phone. They expect you to leave a message. Giving bad reviews is the only way to get the message across. Don't live anywhere near here and don't join here either. This is a place for rude people to congregate. If you're not going to be considerate about your noise level then you're not a good business.

I was invited here to a party. I looked up their reviews to see what people thought about this place. I was shocked to see that wearing jeans is not allowed. I have traveled all over the world and have eaten in at least 100 five -star restaurants. Since I wear jeans when I'm traveling, if I came across a restaurant that I knew was highly recommended, but I didn't have time to return to my hotel to change into my Armani suit that I carried with me, I was never refused entry or even heard a negative about wearing jeans. I was also personal friends with the head chef of the Orient Express. When to Paris to visit with him, we ate in multiple five-stars without reservations, and dressed very casually. In London I ate at many of the five-star restaurant. AT Brown's Hotel in London, when I arrived for afternoon tea, I asked the outside attendant (wearing a top hat) if I was dressed okay to go into the tearoom. He stepped back, looked me over, and said, "You look beautiful." I had tea surrounded by mink coats every labeled clothes, and not one person looked at me in a negative way. I don't know who think you are that you could have such a Victorian policy. I am retired after being the president of a corporation in Philadelphia, specifically brought to Philadelphia by this corporation from New York. I've been here fifty years and am still adjusting to a city that is behind the times. The first time I was invited to your restaurant I declined the invitation due to your dress code. I am invited again for next week. I accepted the invitation of my friend, but I think I will cancel and probably lose the friendship of my friend, but to be honest, I would never on my own patronize your restaurant. The amount of time I've been invited to golf clubs on the Main Line, my clothing has never been in question, but most golf clubs have mediocre food. I have never yet finished the food on my plate due to its taste. I think your company has to come into the 21st century.

I was here for a baby shower. The grounds are beautiful. I am not a golfer so I cannot comment on the golfing aspect but they do keep their grounds very nicely maintained. The baby shower was indoors and the banquet room was very nice. This lunch may be the best meal that I have ever had at a country club. The sit down lunch started with a typical garden salad. But for the main course, we had a crab cake ball, chicken and mashed potatoes. The crab cake ball was mostly crab inside with a delicious bread coating. I have no idea what the creamy sauce was on the chicken but it was delicious. I wish I would have asked what the sauce was. The only thing I didn't like was that there was just a one person ladies restroom and a one person mens restroom outside of the banquet hall. I am assuming and hoping that they have more bathrooms nearby. Beautiful place to host a baby shower or bridal shower.

We have our business outing here for the past few years and we enjoy it. The course is in good shape every time we attend. We have dinner after. The food is pretty standard but good. The bar and club house is very nice. Good solid old time private course

This course is built on a piece of property that is approximately the same size as Merion East. The main difference is that this does not have quarries, changes in elevation or ornamental grasses in the bunkers. The other big difference is that the course is designed for regular golfers and the greenskeeper doesn't try to bring golfers to their knees. The course has five doglegs right and only two doglegs left. There are no crazy hazards, but the long par four fourteenth has a pond about fifty yards in front of the green (which should not come into play for a decent golfer). The eleventh is one of the longest holes in the area; I think is is 630 yards. It has out of bounds, which is true for six of the holes. The signature hole is number eight. The tee is on the highest point on the course and has a spectacular view. The hole has out of bounds on the right and the Sandy Run creek meanders along the same side. On the scorecard, one would think Sandy Run is easy, but when you play it, you will see that scoring is not so easy. There are lots of old (big) trees. It also has some very tricky and small greens. I play in the Hoffner tournament every year and the members are very welcoming and really appreciate good golf. After golf, they have a great veranda that looks out on the tenth tee. It is not grand, but more cozy and a friendly atmosphere. The bar is new.

this place is a joke ,there are so many nicer places to golf and have weddings baby showers etc.. I wouldn't join this club if it was free the people suck they think sandy run is augusta the course is chip n putt if you play on the weekends 6 hour round there is no pool for family a little range 150 yards if that also the pro isn't even a pro hes been trying to go thru school to become a pro but I think hes to stupid kisses a lot of arse up there its a bar with a chip n putt course
