After trying Geno’s, we headed across the street to Pat's King of Steaks. I’d still give it four stars, but I’d rate it slightly higher than Geno's for a few reasons. First off, they take credit cards, which is way more convenient than dealing with cash. The service was just as quick, and they got my food out fast.

Another plus was that I didn’t really see people asking for money around the area, so that was a more comfortable experience overall. As for the sub, it was good, solid. Nothing that blew me away, but definitely tasty. My girlfriend really liked it too.

All in all, no complaints here. It was a solid experience, and I’d give it a strong four stars.

This place is legendary & keep in mind that the reason you visit is the experience as the service is a bit prickly if you don't know how to properly order.
We got a "Whiz Wit," which means nacho cheese with fried onions for $16. (Note: The fries are ordered and paid for at an entirely separate window.)
It was a solid cheese steak, but I think for me, more than half of one would be asking for a belly ache.
I didn't try Geno's (the competition across the street). I trusted my guide that Pat's was the way to go.
The real neon promoting both places is fantastic.

Ever since you guys remodel to me, the food went downhill ! I’ve been coming here for over 30 years. I live in Philly ! It just seems different to me. I got the hotdogs for my kids. They seem like they’re different not the same hot dogs that you just had last year.! Had to put all that whiz on the top of the cheesesteak  and wrapping it there is none left on the cheesesteak. It’s all over the wrapper like it’s been should change that too ! Just everything is different now that you guys remodeled.what happened to all the old regular people they used to work here man ?? Crazy the loved the old look of the place before you updated it what happened to all the pictures you guys had ? And what with adding new food ? Horrible! Done messed it all up !

It's like going to a state fair vendor for an awesome sandwich.  I just had the best Philly Cheesesteak that I've ever had.  It was delicious! The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't get a beverage at the same window as where I got the sandwich.

I strolled over on a business trip early in the morning and had a very pleasant experience. The staff at the window made conversation with me and very quickly gave me my food. I had carried a large cold coffee with me which I spilled all over the ground as I sat down and the manager or owner (not sure) was very insistent on giving me some free coffee. I didn't want any but I appreciated it. I ordered a classic cheesesteak and it was outstanding. There is ample seating, nice scenery and the establishment is very clean. Highly recommend.
