I moved to Philadelphia from Southern California two years ago and didn't realize how spoiled I was. AAA So Cal was the most professional, efficient, helpful member-service-oriented organization I've encountered. Dealing with the club here was like a smack in the face with a tuna. The office staff was helpful with my tags, but the repair service is awful. I went in to make an appointment for a brakes service. No one at the auto service counter wanted to help. I went to the first person who said to go to the next person, who said go to the next person, etc. The person at the last desk gave me an appointment on a Monday, one week out. Friday afternoon before my Monday appointment someone from the office left me a voicemail saying that "due to high volume," they were cancelling my appointment. High volume is precisely why you make an appointment. I called back on Monday, but they told me I'd have to wait until Thursday. I'd already taken Monday off to get my brakes done, so Thursday was out of the question. When I said "this is so unprofessional," meaning the organization, the person I spoke to said "I'm not the person who called you. I didn't cancel your appointment." Is this what passes for customer service?

The repair service at Triple A is awful. My daughter-in-law went in for routine servicing on her Prius. As soon as the servicing was done, the car, which had had no previous problems, died. It was towed to the dealer's, and, $500 later, she was told that the Triple A mechanic had left debris in the engine that had caused the engine failure. She has documentation from the dealer to that effect, and yet Triple A has refused to take responsibility. On top of that, every time I make an appointment to have my car serviced, I end up waiting hours after the appointed time for them to even look at my car. So the service is terrible, and they're as likely to kill your car as to fix it.

DO NOT let the AAA branding fool you! They will try to claim needed repairs to get work done that's not necessary. More importantly they're dishonest. I took my car in for an oil change. The mechanic damaged my car driving it into the bay. Management failed to notify me of the damage to the car. They parked my car in a way that it wasn't noticeable when I got in. Which means they knew. Thankfully I did go far before I saw the damaged passenger side my car. They will make you waste YOUR time to get a claim and then decline it. Apparently, it's on the customer to request the video from the shop. I'm now going through my insurance and will most likely be out of pocket for my rental. Thankfully I had proof but that doesn't mean they'll do the right thing! Do not trust this place, they are dishonest and no better than Pepboys or Jiffylube with the AAA branding. Avoid even in an emergency!

Today I was locked out of my work truck with the keys and truck was running. The door shut and the automatic locks locked the door. I called AAA,I have been a member for years and never needed to use them. I really have it for my wife just incase she has a car issue and I can't get to her. I called the Number and was automatically told by a recording that lucky me I just won $100 gift card.I tried to explain to the rep.that my truck is running,keys locked in my truck at a customer's house and it's 105 degrees out.He kept going on about the gift card,I told him I just need a lock out service and don't care about the gift card.He kept going on about the card so I gave him my info thinking he will eventually help me.No,he said it's $1.89 for the cost of mailing me the gift card. I said I don't want the gift card,please just send me help. He asked again, I told him my wallet is locked in my truck with my keys just send someone. Then he says come on I know your wallet is in your pants. It took everything I had not to flipped out,it's 105 degrees,keys lock in my truck in the middle of a job and I have the customer's water shut off. He wouldn't help and hung up. Looked up another AAA numver,called git a rep said its not her area she needed to transfer me to that area.Now on hold in the heat for 20 minutes, nothing she gets back on phone and said I'm waiting for them to pick up the phone. A police officer drove by and asked if I needed help,I said you have to be better than AAA. He got the door open for me with his pick kit. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH AAA,IF YOU HAVE A ISSUE THE LOCAL POLICE WILL HELP,ALSO SOME CAR INSURANCES HAVE EMERGENCY SERVICE. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

The Worst place ever to bring your car. now listen, if you are the lucky one like 1 in 20 that needs only paperwork done you may escape ok. I would give them a 0 for any type of repair work. this place is a disgrace to the triple A name. they do not want to work at ALL...period. they pass your car around like a hot potato. i repeat DO NOT TAKE Your car here under any circumstance. they will keep it for 3 weeks, it will get broken into, and they will never find out what is wrong with it. they are a tow facility that shuffles too many cars in the lot and do not have a clue on what the hell is going on.

I had a decent experience having my tires installed here, so I figured why not get my oil changed... it's close by, desk people are nice. Well after the oil change, i decided to check the oil level the next day. All is good in that regard. AAA had offered to "fix" a few other items, which they suggested could use some attention, figuring I could take take of an air filter or two. When I was checking my old... I noticed the battery cover for the terminals was left open, and my air intake duct/manifold (which is attached to to the inside of hood) was hanging down, with 3 of 5 clips/fasteners missing. These must have been removed by the technician while doing the check-up... and not put back in. I went back to AAA a few days later, they looked and replaced two of the clips with non-Honda parts...and sent me on my way... This is frustrating... the EOM clips are $18 each... or $10 for non-EOM parts. Why should I have to spend this money... fixing AAA's screw up? Do i really want to go back for a 3rd time? I Will not go back. Clearly the team is rushed, and not paying full attention. I imagine these oversights might be due to the pause... between completing the old change and check-up... then the calling me and offered to "fix" a few things.. i declined.. and when the person went back to the car... the just closed the hood...and did not bother re-attaching my air-intake or closing the battery cover. Sorry... this is sloppy work AAA. For a $97 oil change i would hope for batter. Granted the the complimentary tire rotation was nice.

Brought my 2020 Tesla Model X (with staggered tires) here to just put on some new ~$350 EV tires thinking AAA might be a safer option for a expensive car. Unfortunately I was wrong, one of the rims got new damage which they were willing to fix, but I chose not to since it would look different than the other wheels. Overall, took them 2 hours to put on 3 tires that a tire shop would take 30 mins. In addition, they removed the old balancing weights but didn't clean off the adhesive stickers, so now I have to spend time cleaning those off myself. 4/21 update: after showing some online people, eagle eyed viewers pointed out that one of my tires look stretched. I had my neighborhood mechanic take a look and we found that the AAA mechanic installed my smaller tire on my bigger rim and vice versa. Truly sad that someone could mess up something so simple...
