well first time at this location and the line was out the door for a friday afternoon the person who checked me in laughed at me and her colleagues along with other customers that were also checking in a little embarassing after i asked if they had asian minivans! as soon as i walked out they only had what they had and werent interested in getting me the vehicle i was looking for the deal was better than the service to least!

I rented a car for 24 hours. It was fine. When I returned the car, I left my purse in the back seat with an envelope full of cash and all my ID. When I tried to check in at the airport, I realized my purse and wallet were left in the car. I returned to Alamo's car rental store at the Philadelphia Airport and the manager and guys ran around the car wash and parking lot until they found my purse and wallet. All the cash and my IDs were there. The guys were as happy as I was. Whoever does your hiring does a great job. Loved your manager and all the guys who had me laughing when I really felt sick. Thank you. I wish I had there names. I'm very grateful for them.

I actually had an amazing experience using Alamo. I booked through Costco and, a few days before my trip, I was able to check in online so I didn't have to go to the counter when I arrived. The shuttle was super easy to get from the terminal and once I got to the lot, I was able to get in a car and off the lot within 10 mins. The car was clean and worked great. I had no issue during my time and returning the car was also a breeze. I was so happy with the hassle-free rental experience I had and would absolutely rent with Alamo again.

No hassles, no upselling, and it's super fast to pick up .They don't assign a car. They just tell me to go to the parking lot and pick out whichever car I want from the parking lot E-Z pass is worth getting if you are going to be back and forth between NJ and PA. Toll charges are billed to your credit card within a week and half after returning the vehicle. Also make sure to bring another picture id. The customer service agent said there had been people trying to rent cars with fake ids. The only negative thing is the return entrance is kind of hidden. If you drive normal speed and miss it, there is no way to back up because it's a one way and there is a police SUV there. You just have to go back around the airport again.

This branch was so nice and accommodating. Service was quick and when they were out of the 7 seater vehicle they went over and above to make sure we were compensated and had a car ready for the next morning

I travelled to Philadelphia recently to pick up my kids from their summer camp in the Poconos, as I have for the last 3 years. I had recently lost my drivers license, so I called Alamo in advance to see whether I could rent a car from them. They said yes, I could, as long as I had a passport and a state issued temporary drivers license. I had both of those items, so I reserved a car. However, when I went to the counter to get it, Rae, the manager, told me that I couldn't rent a car because it was against their policy. I told her I had checked with Alamo in advance and was told otherwise. In response, Rae very rudely told me that the Philadelphia airport location had a different policy than the rest of the country. At this point I was upset, as it was very late and I needed a car to pick up my kids early the next morning. I called Alamo's customer service number and again the person who answered told me I should be able to rent a car. I put Rae on the phone so this person could explain it to her. They spoke for quite a while. Then Rae left the building, supposedly to speak to another manager. When she came back, she said she still wouldn't let me rent a car, but now she said the reason was a combination of their policy and my "behavior" - referring to the fact that I was acting visibly upset. Rae was incredibly rude and condescending - I got the impression that she realized she had given me the wrong information, but instead of admitting the error and apologizing she doubled down. I asked her if someone could drive me to another rental agency, and she said no - I could take their shuttle back to the airport. By this time it was almost 11pm. So I went to Hertz, where they promptly rented me a car, no problem. It did cost $200 more per day because I was a walk-up customer, which was unfortunate but well worth it at that point after dealing with Rae at Alamo. I've rented from Alamo many times and have always had a great experience, so this review really just reflects on Rae.

I rented a car for 3 days and now am being charged for 3 weeks. I am in a dispute for $2k for 3 months. Alamo never responds to emails or calls. When I call the person I speak to says they can't approve the refund This place is a scam and is robbing people by charging for rental time they did not have a vehicle

So they banned me for not wanting to pay for damages I didn't do. Be careful and do a walk around and report any damages right away! They gave me a car with missing handle and tried to charge me $400 for it. My fault as I seen the missing handle but thought nothing of it so I didn't report it. I should have never been put in that situation because it just came out the car wash and ready to be rented. Other than that they're were great or so I thought

UPDATE: Alamo does not want to know more - I called and it went nowhere. Disappointing but not surprising. Not good! Arrived at Des Moines Airport at 10:30PM - joined about 10 others in line for our rental. Big announcement - no cars left! We were 2 hours from our hotel destination. Thankfully, I was able to get in line for Payless Car Rental and they had a car for us, but it cost way more than my original rental. Either way, it was unbelievable that Alamo rented out all of their cars despite having EXISTING RESERVATIONS

I reserved my car about 7 weeks in advance. Upon pickup, I come to find that they didn't have any cars in the class that I reserved. Why bother making a reservation? The car that I ended up with also had its check engine light on. Most likely for maintenance, but it was unnerving to have to drive over 500 miles with that light on. It made me wonder how well they kept up with their fleet's maintenance schedule. The customer service rep was very professional and reasonable despite the company's lack of organization. I probably wouldn't rent from this location again.
