This place isn't terrible but the way the bar is and the seating, it is soooo packed in there. The music is great! Like the DJ hits every song, old and new. There is hookah which is cool however it is only $20 so you get what you pay for. It didn't last tooo long and there were no tables so you are pretty much placed anywhere that the hookah can sit on. I am not sure I saw a back door exit, and I mention this because of safety hazards.

If your not afraid to dance and let your hair down then this is it! Arrived in Philly on a Friday had some down time and Google a place for some last min fun....it's true what they say about philadelphia brotherly love....Dj on the ones and two's....the owner G a true hip hop pioneer....great drinks and very welcoming to ppl from out of town...Niagara Falls, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and everything in between Upstate we have a home in Philly.....ENJOY

If your looking for something to do tonight or any other night add this to the plan. My favorite night is Kareoke and on the weekend they have a full house. The Dj ,the drinks And the crowd are the reasons I think this is the best local watering hole in the neighborhood. If you come in with the munchies the food is cool too.

Good alcoholic punches. However, not always the safest place to frequent.. The food is hit or Miss sometimes and some of the bar maids aren't very friendly..

My good friend had fish fry there a few months ago. I had to wait about an hour to get my fish platter for it to be just "okay". Nice crowd however because it's such a small space, we were all packed in like sardines. I didn't get a drink because I was driving but my friend's drink looked amazing! Overall, it's a cool place.

I was in town on business was planning to stay overnight. I was looking for a relaxed, friendly-looking place where I could hang out a while and feel the local vibe. I found it on Yelp. The bar is in the round and it is easy to move around, with an ample dance area in the back, and well marked exits, with great club lighting everywhere, and, importantly, three bathrooms. Three or four TV's were going on different channels. Encore on a Saturday night is an amazing place. Parking was easy in the local neighborhood streets. When I walked in out of nowhere even the security guys were welcoming to me the newcomer. This is important because it is somewhat small (looks bigger due to the mirrors), and there were clearly a lot of regulars. But nobody looked at me like I had 2 heads! Everybody was friendly and welcoming, the music/DJ was completely top notch, the crowd was large and lively, and the prices were not to be beat. The bar food was delicious. It was not long before the dancing was rocking the foundation. The owner was even there that night and made everybody feel comfortable. This place seems like a well-kept secret, and it looks completely unobtrusive from the outside. Still, once inside, it soon felt like home. Highly recommended if you are looking for a cool place to hang out for an evening in Philly.

If you are looking for a place to have a fish fry, this is the place to go. Its very easy to book and payment is even easier. I've had a few here and did very well with each. The drinks are good, especially the fish bowls. The fish fry is usually scheduled early before the night crowd comes in, so it's pretty cool. If you are lucky you may even have the place to, yourself and that makes it all your party. The one issue is parking. But if you are in the city you are used to looking for parking...
