Didn't let me know over the phone on Wednesday that I can't rent with an out of state license, but the lady who got me a car for the day came through. I really appreciate the service. Got the car 9:00am Saturday, had it back by 1:00pm the same day. Cheap rates, my Yaris was decent. The $400 deposit to use a debit card was a bit crazy, but I had no issues with it. Remember to bring two ulitity bills with no past due balance to serve as a semi-credit check if using a debut card.

this enterprise used to be pet friendly but I wouldn't call it that anymore. we had to vacuum the car ourselves to avoid a $250 pet hair fee.

Handy Mt. Airy location. Excellent, highly attentive staff. I dropped a car off last week, and it took about 1 minute to check it in. I'm not kidding. Staff person was already in the lot for a customer, and came right over to take care of my drop-off. And you have to LOVE the flowering rose bushes in front of their sign on Germantown Avenue.

This was the first time that I have used this particular location. I was hesitate at first but the cost was cheaper than the airport and i thought why not. The wait was a little long but the service was done with a smile. Tonya was awesome. She made the process smooth and easy. No issues which is just how I like it. The gentleman on the return was nice as well and made the process simple. I will definitely look to this location for future visits home.

I don't own a car. In the city, I rely on Philly Car Share. When I am travelling outside the city, I rely on this Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The staff is pretty good, and though I am sure they are required to ask what I will be doing with my car, these folks seem genuinely interested in my travels be they work related or personal. But not in a creepy way. So if you have to rent a car, I recommend going with these guys. Convenient location, decent prices, decent selection of vehicles, and good service.

I've rented cars from a number of companies in Philly, usually making my rental decision based on whichever place has a promotional rate or comes out cheapest on a comparison site like Priceline. However, Enterprise on 19th just won me over for good. They are always extremely nice, go out of their way to help and act like they genuinely enjoy helping people. One time, they gave me a free upgrade just because the clock on the dash of a car got stuck. Another time, they waived the price of an extra day on a rental when I had to unexpectedly extend a reservation. Several times, I got an economy car and they upgraded me just because there was extra inventory available. This is by far the best place to rent a car in Philly, especially when compared to some of the rental companies at 30th street station or the Hertz next to it.

Pleasantly surprising for the best customer service imaginable. I started renting here when PhillyCarShare went from normal prices to ridiculous prices to homicidal-rage-inducing prices, and I've been consistently beyond impressed with Enterprise's level of service. I've seriously considered writing a glowing letter to the branch manager, but I'm slightly lazy so this review will have to suffice. You can book your reservation online but it has to be at least 2 hours ahead of your intended pickup. You will spend literally 10 minutes total obtaining the car, during which the pleasant staff will express kindness so genuine it makes you stop and look around to double check that you're still in Philly and it's still 2010. Honestly, I've left that place thinking, "man... that was nice... I should totally be nicer to people!" Kudos to a car rental place that can actually make me want to be a better person.

We've used Enterprise in the past, but this was our first time attempting to rent a car from their Mount Airy branch. The short story is that we had to run a bunch of errands and decided that public transportation wasn't going to cut it that day. We walked in without a reservation to find one guy manning the front desk and two other employees doing pretty much anything but attending to customers. Dude acknowledged us and told us he'd only be a couple more minutes as he helped the only other customer in the branch. This took forever and a day. Meanwhile, other people began to stream in. From what I could gather, one of them was having an issue with an existing rental, another was blocked in, and others I guess were hanging around for shits and giggles. Two minutes had turned to twenty, when dude answered the phone to explain to a woman that if she had wanted to be picked up she should have requested it when she placed her reservation. Granted, the increasingly irate customer may have been in the wrong, but dude was such a jerk about it that I could hardly feel sorry for him. As soon as that conversation was over, he took another call, this time from someone wanting to rent a car. Dude said that they don't have any cars available, and you'd think that would be the end of that, but he is such a goddamn asshole that this turns into another prolonged argument. After hanging up, I approach the counter and ask if there really aren't any cars available (bearing in mind that there are about ten left on the lot half an hour before the branch is due to close for the weekend, so perhaps I myself am not a total idiot). Then it went something like this: "Yes, we always run out of cars on the weekend. There's a lot of demand for car rentals on the weekend." "And you couldn't have told us that half an hour ago?" "I didn't know you didn't have a reservation." "Why didn't you ask us that when we walked in?" "It's been very busy, there are a lot of customers here." (Cue the boyfriend:) "And we've been waiting here longer than every one of them." "Well, it's been very busy." (Me again:) "I don't have time right now, but I'm going to report you to your manager." "I'm the manger, and anyway, I have to treat customers like garbage to compensate for my comically small tadger." I'm not completely sure about the last part because we were already out the door, but I can lip read so rest assured it's pretty much word for word. Just to drive this review home, so to speak, our experience here was so bad that we ended up buying a car. No joke.
