Definitely enjoyed the Papaya Salad! Delicious with just the right amount of heat. Chicken Wings were yummy, crispy and juicy. Finger lick in' good! The Minced Chicken Salad, so flavorful and just simply delicious with the lettuce wrapped. Love the fresh veggies that comes with the orders. I will definitely come back for more authentic Lao/Thai food from Flaming Basil!

(2.5 stars) Sadly disappointed by the lemongrass beef. Pretty much indifferent to the taste, and not content with the price ~$12 and the portion size, which was mostly just white rice. Really wish the beef or vegetables had some kick to them, or at least a savory sauce to make it mix with the rice. And that the rice wasn't white rice, it just adds so little. Each bite just sort of fell flat.

Great tasting (had the lemongrass beef on rice) but way overpriced, especially considering the small portion sizes which were very skimpy on meat, and the fact that it's a food truck as opposed to a brick and mortar restaurant. Prices should be lower by at least $2 to $3 on each entree considering these factors.

Been wanting to try their food and I only have 1 day off to get here. Only to find out what I crave...they didn't have which was the mince chicken salad (lop). Sad face. However I did get papaya salad, beef sticks and lemongrass beef over rice. Flavors were awesome. Only downside is the portion was a little small. Love supporting small businesses. I think if I had more days off, I'd probably stop by all the time.

Had the Korean short ribs tonight. Everything included on the entree was amazing. Super affordable and delicious. This isn't typically a type of food I would choose to eat, and I'm so happy I did. Servers were friendly. After finishing the short ribs I wanted more. Can't wait to try this again soon!

Today while in University City I needed a quick bite to eat. I didnt want anything heavy, as I past this food cart the prices and menu caught my attention. I decided on the chicken on a stick it was 2 sticks of flavorful chicken garnished with red cabbage, shredded carrots and cucumbers. It also had a side of sweet chilli sauce. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. If I am in the area again I will stop past and venture out on the menu.

I'm an out of towner, and definitely a foodie.. I've heard so much about them through word of mouth and social media, that I JUST had to try them out when I landed in Philly. And they did not disappoint. Their stir fry noodle and red curry chicken was definitely a hit! Lemon grass chicken was also amazing. She also whipped up an impromptu vegetable salad (that wasn't on the menu) to substitute for the papaya salad that ran out before noon! And let me tell you.... I'm back home now and I can not stop thinking about it. Lol! Great service. Friendly, fast and very efficient.. Will definitely be back..

I couldn't stop eating the chicken wings.. I don't know what was in it but it was super tasty. The owners were very informative and very nice. Their food was made with fresh ingredients and let's not forget about the chicken and beef sticks!! Thanks Kathy and Dan!

Hands down, the best Laotian/ Thai truck in Philly! The lemongrass chicken was mouthwatering. It was so juicy to the point that I had to try the other items. The red curry chicken was also a delight. I truly reconomend everything on the menu!
