This is an absolute GEM in South Philly. There's something about getting a cheap Philly Cheesesteak out of a small immigrant-ran corner store. For the price point, you really cannot go wrong with grabbing affordable lunch or dinners from the back of this store. I believe it is cash-only if I recall correctly. Do not sleep on their cheesesteaks here. They also have a lot of other home items and snacks, etc as you would expect.

Best bang for buck cheesesteak in Philly. Drinks are priced very reasonable as well. Less than 5 mins from time of order vs 30mins at Angelo's/John's. And only $6.50 for a cheesesteak! Definitely coming back.

My love of bodegas continues. $5.50. Good little cheesesteak. The meat appears to have a touch thicker slice and they seem to leave it on the grill touch longer than everybody else, it taste very good. I went rogue and asked for a tiny bit of hot peppers. We have a different concept of 'tiny bit.' Hot Peppers added a great flavor to the cheesesteak. $5.50, decent size and good flavor, how can I complain? I wish it had a better cheese melt. There is my complaint. Take out only but very good Cheesesteak experience. Interesting mix of other customers. I ate my cheesesteak in the Craft Hall parking lot waiting for the Christmas Tree lighting event to start.

Value wise, this is my favorite cheesesteak joint in Philly! Expect to spend about $5 on a cheesesteak here... As of October 2021, I somehow managed to order one for slightly under $5. It's a very good cheesesteak I must say, maybe not as good as D'alessandro's, but still up there. Let's just say it should be probably at least double the price you pay for this nice, juicy cheesesteak contained within pretty solid bread as well. If you ate only this twice a day for a month (brunch and dinner), you would have a monthly food bill of around $300, far cheaper than what groceries are likely to cost you now. If this crazy inflation hasn't raised the prices here, then I would say, "God Bless these people and I would eat here everyday if I lived in South Philly!" I was in town for only three days and stuck under the confines of my strict parents' house and close watch in Bucks County. The objective of my visit was to go to my brother's wedding in Stewartstown, a town in the middle of nowhere in Pennsylvania with believe me no good cheesesteaks or food whatsoever. I drove nearly two hours for what should have been a 45 minute drive to South Philly because of awful traffic and construction on I-95 with a nearly dead phone to visit a friend for only 15 minutes, at the end of the day with all the traffic, to check out this place. The ordering process was quick and it had to be to make my brother's wedding rehearsal in time. I sadly couldn't stop to enjoy this delicious cheesesteak sitting in a nearby park instead I ate it while driving up I-95 where traffic zoomed by thankfully this time. I ate and drove With the delicious juices of this heavenly sandwich splashing all over me! I am a messy eater, so this was inevitable! I was just hoping to avoid getting my mom's car messy, which by some grace of God I did. I also had to keep the windows down to avoid the evidence of the smell of a cheesesteak. This was a very risky endeavor. My mom is very judgmental of what I eat, so I made sure to quickly turn into a gas station parking lot where there were inevitably trash cans to dispose of the tangible evidence. When I got home, I was given the looks of judgement by my parents as to where I was. My mom ripped my coat off and saw the stains of food on my shirt but somehow I was not questioned. This is the ritual I go through even as a 32 year old man still till this day. It was worth every minute of it to experience this divine treat!

This place is such a hidden gem & has the best Philly cheesesteaks I ever had. The meat is not as much as other well-known locations, but they make up for this because their meat is very well seasoned. It's even got a little spicy kick too which I loveee. It was so good I brought some to my friends back home in Virginia, popped them in the air fryer & they loved it too. I would die for these cheesesteaks . So worth the 3 hour drive
