Hey friends! We ventured down here after grabbing lunch at Campo's. We actually didn't know there was a carnival here, we just wanted to be near the water, even better! Summerfest at Penn's Landing is such a summer time vibe! From a Ferris wheels to funnel cakes, this mini carnival is the perfect summer excursion. A great bonus are the breathtaking waterfront views. Some notable attractions are the Ferris wheel, two-level carousel, basketball, mini-golf, indoor arcade, roller skating rink, carnival food stands and cocktail bar! We didn't stay long so we didn't get try any of the attractions but I'm excited to come back and make a whole date night out of it! -The carnival itself is free to get in -Skates are available for purchase($12) on site. Plus a $5 admission fee. -Parking is limited -Plenty food vendors and cocktail bar -All ages friendly -Purchase tickets for attractions on site. -Outdoor concerts held here all summer long! I used to frequent this place a decade ago. I went here last evening for their 2024 December holiday setup and it was not good. The decor is pretty so you can take strategic photos to give the impression of a good time but it basically has an ice skating rink, dusty arcade, concession stands with generic carnival/fair food, a merry go round (pretty to look at but I could have a better time doing jug handles in Nj), fire pit seating (one open seating and the other reserved), and there's a $20 charge to park. Now I came here on a Wednesday night. The place was practically empty. The security scanned my friend, nephew, and me. However, my nephew's gf was not scanned bc the security guard says she looks safe/fine (she's a different ethnicity and I'll leave it at that). When we walked into the empty reserved fire pit section a security guard came over to redirect us bc this was the "paid/voucher" section. Now, we didn't even sit down and I was trying to ask him what else can we do here etc. he couldn't even focused on my questions just tunnel vision about having us go over to the free fire pit section. Like sir chill out all we we were trying to do is understand the area and how to navigate it. So we walk over to the free fire pit section the ambers from the pit blow in the wind and that's scary but we say there for maybe 5 mins bc again this place looks better than it actually is. We walked through the lack luster concession stand area to the arcade. My friend played guitar hero and one of the buttons didn't work so that's a fail plus he's a hard core guitar hero fan. We exited the arcade to go to the Ferris Wheel that no one was on. It's pretty. The security guards near that were actually nice and kind. We didn't ride it. I think that's a level of insanity I haven't reached to be the only ones on a giant rotating circle in the freezing cold. Now if I wanted a great photo mayhaps.... Then we paused realizing like a bug at a bug light in the summer this was a bad idea so we left. If you have tiny children under 11 they might enjoy the lights. If you're an influencer great place for holiday themed photos. If you're trying to show people new to Philly a good time..... then it's a no. It seems to be some construction too. The occupant space is small. I will say other summer or other festival types might be better. This Christmas holiday winter city thing is a hard pass. :( not happy

Penn's Landing is a great place to ring in the new year! It's crowded but festive. Tickets can be purchased that include a viewing area and other things but you can also find a spot to watch the fireworks.

What can I say about this quintessential Philadelphia gathering space. Great place to stroll or bike from piers to parks. Great place to see street performers. Great place for festivals and fireworks but I love it just for the water. It can get pretty crowded during events but for the most part there's always a place to sit and enjoy the water front views

Overpriced, overtaxed, crime infested, loud, rude, terrible parking. Someone tried to pickpocket me here, so watch your valuables. But what else would you expect in Philly aka the East Coast's Venezuela? Worth it for the history and view. FUN FACT: Improved by Kevin Bacon's father, architect Edmund Bacon.

Pretty area right along the Delaware River. From my understanding they hold concerts here during the summer which brings out more people. There is also a Dave & Busters that is right near the pier so that is an added bonus. I like that there's a lot to walk past and that there seems to be an added nostalgia as you are walking along an angry river on a cloudy day. Maybe that is just me.

I love Penn's Landing, there are always so many different things to do in the area. I have watched the fireworks on the 4th of July many times down here, as well as skated at the river rink with my family and friends. In the summer, they have roller skating, carnivals and rides. There are so many things for both kids and their families to do down there. There are also many food options to choose from, and they also have hammocks you can lay on and just relax. Or you could take a stroll by the river and take in the beauty of everything that surrounds you.

We paid a visit to Penn's Landing to take in the sights and the monuments. It turned out to be an AOK park. Walking here from downtown was pleasant, and the weather was mild enough to make the experience enjoyable. Tip: The monuments were very nice, with some very striking detail; they do their subjects justice and make a visit here worthwhile. While it's not worth making special plans to come here, if you find yourself with opportunity and time on your hands you'll probably enjoy a visit.

Great location but pricing is absurd. The rides were empty so we purchased tickets for the ferris wheel and carousel. They were $5 per ride per person. Despite being the only people on the rides, they lasted 2 minutes. The ferris wheel went around 4x and it's quite a small ride. Major rip off for these activities. We went skating and that was fun, but almost $50 for 2 adults and 1 child. There is not a time limit, so that's a bonus, but the skates had busted laces. Parking is $20. It's rare to find street parking. The view of the water and boats is great and they have bathrooms accessible. High price, low value.
