We have a work Christmas party here every year. The place is nice, but I HATE the parking lot. There is not enoguh parking, and yes there is valet but I hate valeting my car. The food was good (not sure if it was catered or from the club). If you need a nice space for a party or wedding, I woudl recommend just be aware that parking is less than ideal

The nation's oldest country club where power is manifested in every finely manicured hedge and perfectly polished silver never touched by tarnish. The tennis courts are grass ready to welcome debutants from another era who not only ricochet between the Main Line and Newport but compete in hoop skirts and corsets rather than clothing spawned by space age polymers and blessed by the demigod Nike. Time seems irrelevant here. A bit of exaggeration but you get the picture. The entire milieu (the only word that fits given the circumstance) is a time warp that had me SMH wondering when I'd wake up. Food you say.... well the restaurants are beyond fine and deliver a cuisine marinating in power from the salads right down to the palette cleansers. Bring me another Brandy and be quick about it. The 1950's potboiler, The Young Philadelphians was filmed here with a barely 30 Paul Newman chewing the mahogany scenery without disturbing one thread on his bespoke tuxedo. I highly doubt a Members Only jacket would have cut it in the Eisenhower decade. Doubtful things have changed much, although now Newman makes a pretty mean Marinara. They had me at hello. Five gilded stars.

Given COVID, we had to postpone our large celebration and planned a small wedding with family at PCC. Amy was amazing in ensuring our day was everything we wanted and more. She made sure that we felt comfortable with every decisions and was always quick to respond when we had questions. We planned everything on a short timeline and everything worked out perfectly. Chef Ben created a perfect menu that fit our desire for something 'different' but comfortable. Everyone that worked that night was ready to help however they could, including finding extra heat lamps! In addition to the ease of planning and experience that day, Cricket was a perfect spot for beautiful fall photos. Thank you so much for making our day so special and a night we will never forget!

My cousin had her wedding here last spring, and it was so beautiful here! The indoor and outdoor facilities are very nice, and their lawns are beautifully manicured. I was impressed by the size of the facility, which can hold over 200 people (at least). There was an outdoor cocktail reception and indoor dinner reception. The hors d'oeuvres were delicious, my favorite being the beef wellingtons! My cousin has impeccable taste. I was pleasantly surprised with the decor and dinner service. My guess is that I ate a mixed greens salad with rasberries and feta cheese with a vinaigrette..... i could be wrong, but it all melded together so well. There was also a choice of steak, fish or vegetarian. I opted for the steak. See the pictures! I Love potatoes so it was perfect for me.... steak, potatoes au gratin and snow peas. Great venue!

For my last dinner out in Philly before heading back to Vienna, it was a meal spent with friends at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. The Philadelphia Cricket Club in Chestnut Hill is the oldest country club in America and one of its most famous. Besides all the sporting amenities, it has a really pretty restaurant and bar area. Dinner here is usually pleasant and my last dinner was no exception. The food is not as awesome as the atmosphere but it's still pretty good. I enjoyed a NY strip steak with truffled French fries & sautéed broccolini.. An amuse-bouche of salmon pate provided a nice appetite whetter. And dessert was a tasty figgy pudding topped with vanilla ice cream. Service is always cordial. Raising a glass of Languedoc wine at the Philadelphia Cricket Club was the perfect way to say goodbye to Philly for now as I look forward to returning to Vienna!.

We had our holiday party last nite and the food, service( They are so nice here) , atmosphere, and accommodations were amazing especially with the 1800's fire place roaring. We ate in the 6025 W. Valley Green RD location, I had never been to before. NEAT! The blue cheese salad w/u'r self fixing table was superb. Fresh sliced sirloin, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, mashed taters, and carrots were sooooo good. They had a pasta bar that I couldn't even get to, I was so filled with their PERFECT preparation. Desert was the best chocolate bread pudding I EVER had, Why? I hate bread pudding. This was crunchy on top, soft and gooey inside but not mushy (yuch) and OH SOOO GOOOD dark chocolate inside. With vanilla ice cream, home made?? and outstanding coffee and mints. Not to mention the cocktail was tops. AND, we had appetizer table with a great assortment of cheeses, fruit, mustards, and special crackers. I don't often give 5 stars....this was great! Hope we can do it again.

A beautiful country club with amazing tennis courts. Besides the perfectly manicured golf course, they have clay and grass tennis courts, a pro shop with all the best gear, a huge swimming pool where there are frequent competitions and awesome holiday parties. You have to fulfill your yearly payment by spending X amount on food, etc. Their Fourth of July bash and Memorial Day bash are the best (outdoors and grilling). The other events are a bit more formal. The food is great, they have a million dishes, desserts and sides to choose from at the buffet, an omelette-making bar, fresh-cut roast pork and other fun stuff. In the summer, they bring in a small petting zoo for the kids.

My lovely friend who lives in Chestnut Hill invited me and another friend to spend the day at the pool. I had never been to the Philadelphia Cricket Club before but I had admired it from afar during trips to Wissahickon Skating Club. PCC is every bit as beautiful as the outside would lead you to believe. The pool area is ample and the area for kids is super cute. The pool house is currently being built (or refurbished?) and will surely be very nice. I never made it into the water but we enjoyed ourselves relaxing on the chaise lounges with liquid libations. We changed for dinner in the shower rooms inside the main building. These were a bit outdated but were well stocked with anything you could need. My friend scored us a table on the porch overlooking the gorgeous grass tennis courts. Dinner was excellent. At least, my dinner was excellent. My friends had salads and both mentioned that the lettuce was gritty. I was bummed to hear this because I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, a delicious crab cake over summer veggies with some potatoes. We also started with the mussels in red sauce which were excellent. Dessert was tasty as well. And the bread basket was worth a mention. Awesome. Definitely hoping for another invite to the pool this summer!

We had our daughter's wedding at the PCC this summer and it was amazing. The staff was on top of every detail, accommodated our every request and created the most wonderful event for us. We experienced one issue, not the fault of the venue, and they addressed it, made changes to make sure it did not happen again and took care of those impacted to an unexpected degree. I highly recommend them for any special event. And PS, the fried chicken is out of this world!

To commemorate our firm's 20th anniversary, we held our annual company summer retreat at the St. Martin's Clubhouse on the first Saturday of August 2014. The venue is an absolute gem of history and sport culture and the staff make it shine with exceptional, professional service. From the day we set foot into the clubhouse for a site visit until the big day, our event coordinator, Alexis, catered to our every need and was so devoted to providing the best experience for our staff and their families. Alexis was very mindful of our budget and kept all of our amenities and activities all in line to keep the overall cost affordable. Her amazing communication skills gave us peace of mind, knowing that we could always reach her if we had any issues or concerns. On top of her regular coordination duties, she went the extra mile to satisfy all of our requested activities - ranging from a morning staff meeting in the Blue Room with a golf team building exercise on the Putting Green, to a family lunch and afternoon gathering with a moon-bounce, face painting, board games in the Grand Ballroom! We even had the flexibility to setup our own photo-booth area. We cannot wait to host our next corporate event with PCC! Highlights: - Best corporate event coordinator, hands down!
