I ended up coming here again and wow... Brought 3 friends with me this time, and all 4 of our sandwiches looked like salads on bread. Ended up trying again a couple days later by myself... sandwich was still skimpy with the meat... thats the last time i pay $15 for a salad sandwich Far different from the stacked sandwiches I remember a year ago

I have a pretty shy stomach, but they totally have something for everyone. I usually order from the "Local"/Toast iPhone app. The "Francisville" egg sandwich is great, and completely customizable. They have all kinds of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate options too. There's also a cooler with lemonades, soda, root beers, and other stuff. They even have loads of fresh fruit, vegetables, and produce. They always have tons of baked treats, like cookies and muffins. Sometimes there are free samples! Also, the owner Evan is really cool.

This is a great new spot that recently opened in the neighborhood. I came here after a run with a bunch of other runners for breakfast. I had been in the store previously when it was a bodega - and they did a great job revamping the place into a much more modern spot. The menu looked great although I did think it was a bit expensive for Fairmount. I ordered the Phoenix on a Philly everything muffin - and would order it again - altho next time I would go w a kaiser roll. (not bc the muffin was bad - but bc I saw someone eating the kaiser and it looked awesome). They have 3 indoor seats and they have sidewalk seating - although the day I was here it was only indoor eating temps. They had a steady stream of people coming in to order or to pickup orders and they seemed to handle the people in a timely manner. They also have salads, produce, cold bevs and chips for purchasing. Overall I think this is a wonderful addition to the hood and I plan to come back often!!

Came here to get a couple corn beef specials only to be told. They don't have rye bread and they don't serve them cold. They only make hot corn beef specials, which is ridiculous because corn beef specials are always serve cold. It cost me $35 for two sandwiches. The sandwiches were very disappointing. They were only 6 inches long and had hardly any meat on them. The sandwich was pretty much all roll. They also give you some pasta salad and a tiny tiny cup that is about the size of a shot glass. The pasta salad is awful. Everything was bland nothing was seasoned. The workers in the store were very snooty. Overall, not a good experience and I have no plans of going back.

New deli just opened opened a few blocks away from me, and it's already making waves! The sandwiches are absolutely delicious. We were running out and wanted something quick, so we stopped here for a bite. The sandwiches were made quickly, probably a little over 5 minutes. We'll definitely be back here -- keep up the good work! Inside, there are 3 seats and a bar to eat; there is some patio furniture and a few chairs out front as well, but the space is small for dine-in. Recommend keeping the party small or eating on the go. Tony Sandwich: Absolutely delicious. Couldn't say enough good thing's about this meal; it blew me away. The chicken was really juicy and flavorful and went well with the spinach. There's a healthy dose of cheddar in there as well; other ingredients were roasted peppers and caramelized onions. Also highly recommend having this one with the garlic aioli sauce. I had this one on a seeded roll, which was fresh and fluffy. Only wish it was a bit bigger, but it was still satisfying. Sorry I only discovered this gem a few days before leaving Philly. Called to inquire about their hoagies. Owner was super nice. Said he had just roasted a turkey today. I couldn't believe someone had a hoagie with REAL turkey. He took my order and didn't even ask for a name or cell number. They were delicious. Got a turkey and an Italian hoagie. I highly recommend.

Damn good sandwiches. Super nice people as well. Asked for chips on a delivery order and even though they couldn't charge for them. They gave me a bag of chips anyways. 10/10 would return.

Pretty much every thing I've purchased from them has been good. The james sandwich is excellent, good and friendly customer service, baked goods and drinks. Very happy it's within walking distance from me

The workers here are so nice, the lady who took my order saw that I had my dogs outside waiting for me and offered them a piece of bacon. I tried one of their specialty sandwiches, the shrimp torta, and it hit the spot, large pieces of shrimp, plus the bread and ingredients were fresh. The inside of the deli was clean and welcoming, you can also purchase fresh produce and deli salads as well, will return :-)
