Great experience with Sixt this past weekend. Had a last minute need for a car. Booked same day. They had larger vehicles but I was able to get into a smaller SUV. Great customer service by Darly, The guys and ladies at the desk, were funny and competent. They were great and gave a lot of information about the car before I went (with wonderful laughs). I would rent from them again. Go Birds!!!

Some of the reviews surprised me. Tbh I had a phenomenal experience other than the one guy not knowing his territories and as a supervisor he should have known that the USVI are citizens and I didn't need a passport... I'm just tough tho. I should have.... realizing it as im writing this review, realized that I should have been humbled to teach them.. I give them a strong 9+ across the board!phenomenal service and I myself had a hiccup picking up bc of my security on my Credit Card and still my CSR was quick and efficient as I watched him and his quick guidance through the process with 2 other people he serviced JUST BOOK DIRECTLY or you will pay fees any other way ‼ The drop off was even easier.... I personally like to have someone look and sign off with me in front of them... I just didn't want to put the mileage on my personal car and SIXT made it smooth and easy.. I was able to learn a lot more about what I want and don't want in my upcoming purchase in the fall.. and confirmed to myself (with the SIXT making it so easy), that it's not about the label of the CAR/SUV...... a THUMBS UP SIXT. Looking forward to the next time! #BTW not a single one of their cars are a mess.. like myself from my experience the only thing you may not like is the vehicle itself ‼ Welcome to the expansion into the MARKET and doing at such an affordable price.....

Extremely Disappointed - Avoid This Company I've rented cars many times -- including long-term rentals -- and I have never dealt with a company as shady and disorganized as this one. At pickup, I was asked to review pre-existing damages using a QR code. The information provided was vague and useless -- just generic descriptions like "right front scratch" with no photos. I used their own QR system to take my own detailed photos because I immediately saw how poorly documented the existing damage was. Sure enough, they later tried to claim I caused damage that was already there. On top of that, the car was dirty inside at pickup, with food debris clearly visible around the cupholders. I had to find a staff member to point it out, and no one offered to clean it. Then they had the nerve to charge me an "excessive cleaning fee." Absolutely ridiculous. After reading more reviews, I realized I'm not alone -- this company clearly has a pattern of surprise fees and trying to hold customers responsible for pre-existing issues. It feels dishonest and predatory. I'm not waiting on their response -- I know a scam when I see one. I will never rent from this company again, and I'll be telling everyone I know to do the same. Word of mouth is powerful.

Please stay away from this company! I wish I had read the reviews. I rented a Toyota Prius in September of 2025. I had the car for three days. Returned the car and everything seemed fine. Now in November, I get a call from a collection agency saying I owe $1800 in damages! Never received an email from the company. Not one notice. Contacted customer service and was told "there are scratches on the car." No photo evidence. This company is a complete scam.

STAY. AWAY. I have never before written such a negative review. I rented a VW Taos. The first day, while driving, I got a notification to "please reduce oil level." Since we were out in the boondocks I stopped at Jiffy Lube. The guy said it was probably ok, just bad maintenance...so I drove on. Two days later, parked in a paved flat parking lot, I got a notification of "Fault: Electronic Parking Brake." It was unsafe to drive because the parking brake would automatically engage while driving. After hours of being told how to release a parking brake (duh, I know how), they finally brought out a tow truck and a replacement rental. Then, two MONTHS later I get a bill for $600. Apparently they towed it back, the notification was off so without doing any maintenance they rented it out again. So they deem it my responsibility. Never interacted with a sh!ttier company in my LIFE.

I wish I would have read the reviews before renting from this company. I rented a car at phoenix airport and when I returned the car they stated we scratched the car and charged me $557. I did not scratch the car. PLEASE never rent from this car. I can't believe how many reviews complaints there are for the same reason. STAY AWAY!

My husband has rented from Sixt for many years for business. He rented a car for me to see my niece graduate, to drive to and from airport. Barely used the car because it was in walking distance so I left the car in parking garage. A month after return I got an $1100 bill seeking damages for dash screen monitor. There was nothing wrong when I returned the car. They sent me blurry pic of damage and when I disputed it, they sent me another bill. We never use them again with any of our businesses. When I looked them up online I saw hundreds of similar reviews so this is a scam they run and also there was a class action suit. Terrible company.

I recently rented from SIXT on a two day getaway trip in Fort Lauderdale, FLA. Upon returning from my trip I received a claim notice of mysterious damages to the car. I have rented from various car rental providers for over 35 years for both business and personal reasons and never had damages to vehicles. This is a money grab and I will never rent from SIXT again. Beware!

Get rid of the US Affiliate (HQ in Miami...). There's some kind of racket going on in the US. We tried using them during a week in Hawaii at our time share property. We noted some pre-existing damage on the rental car and were asked to photograph the spots using the desk agents' app. Then, we didn't accept the extra insurance, since we're safe drivers and have our own coverage. The desk agent warned us the company tended to be heavy handed with those who didn't accept the insurance. And guess what, when we returned the car, the photos we took on their equipment was no where to be found in our rental record and the dings on the mirrors that we'd reported prior to accepting the agreement were considered our fault with a charge of over $300 to be paid. We initially contested but paid it just to make them go away. I can't speak for the German owners or how the business is run in Europe, but our suggestion is to NEVER use them in the US, given these practices....

Only my second time ever to rent from SIXT and the first time here in Philadelphia. Check in went fast and smoothly and the return equally so. My car had several scratches on the body and wheels but they have you carefully check your car out using a QR code system that went well. This lot is offsite (5 minutes on shuttle from airport) and all cars are outdoors but the office is indoors. The staff here are well dressed and friendly. They gave me a free upgrade and I was pleased with the overall experience. Price was fair too. I would rent from SIXT again. Sorry but I didn't take any pics.
