What a cute little hotel! The aesthetic in here is . It has an industrial, modern feel, but with plants everywhere to make it welcoming. There's a nice little sitting area with games in the lobby, along with plenty of seating for their cafe. The entire space was very clean and felt brand new! The staff were welcoming, and we checked in without any issues. I stayed in a king room with a kitchenette. The room was great! There was a little mudroom style area for coats, shoes, and umbrellas. The kitchenette had a fridge, and a gorgeous area with plates, mugs, silverware, etc. as well as an electric kettle, French press, and coffee/sugar! The electric kettle and French press was such a nice touch! Everything was sparkling clean. The bathroom was also spotless, and even had a mirror that connects to the internet to play music, tell you the weather, play YouTube, and more. And it lights up for perfect makeup application. The pillows are fluffy and firm enough that they don't smoosh flat like the typical down pillows. (I'm going to go home and buy these for myself. No joke.) The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was that there was no flat sheet. The only cover is a duvet, but honestly, I can't even complain about that now that I've slept in the bed because it was the perfect weight for a blanket. I ordered breakfast from the cafe in the morning. Everything was wonderful! I even tried the free coffee in the lobby to see if it tasted burnt like your usual hotel coffee. NOPE! It was actually very good! It didn't even need cream or sugar! My one complaint that I will stick with is that there is only one bike in the gym, and it was broken. The only other cardio option is a single treadmill, which I used. It felt brand new, but I can tell most people here don't use the gym because there was a thin layer of dust on everything. As for weights, they have a decent selection of dumbbells (only up to 50lbs) and a bench. there is a Kenesis machine, Swiss balls, a Bosu ball, kettlebells, and medicine balls. While the gym is limited, the equipment is all great quality Technogym equipment, and there's enough here to get a light workout it. Since everything was too notch, I'll look beyond my disappointment for the broken bike and give this a 5!

Could not have been better! Lovely, clean and well mainted room. Plenty of space. Staff was so sweet and helpful. Location is great - walking distance to Fairmount's cute cafes and shops, and a Whole Foods is conveniently across the street. Also super close to the art museum, Barnes and Rodin. The bed is a dream! I slept so soundly. The only tiny complaint: they don't have conditioner in the shower! I normally bring my own but was there for a quick trip and figured I'd just rely on the hotel amenities. Not a huge deal - still a 5 star experience.

This hotel is so cute. Very close to all the museums and eastern penitentiary. We specifically booked this hotel so we can go to Halloween nights at the Eastern penitentiary. We walked to all the museums and it was awesome. A quick Uber ride downtown to the reading market was awesome. Another guest said that the lighting was terrible, and I agree. If you're gonna get ready, make sure the sun is still out lol Super friendly staff, and though it's bare bones, it was still very comfortable and modern.

PRO: location is great for the museums. CON: the room is bare minimum. no dresser. the worse lighting ever. it's as if you had a few night lights in a room, and that's it. WiFi is awful. I do like the smart features that you control with their app - climate, lights, window covering.

What a delightful stay we had at the Maj Hotel in Philadelphia last night. It was a last minute decision to stay and so we were looking for a place near the Franklin Institute. It is near the art museum as well. I was delighted by the rate we got for 3 of us to stay. Parking is difficult as expected in the city but the staff pointed us to a lot nearby which was $9 per day. The staff were kind and helpful. The room was impeccably clean, quiet, and comfortable. There is a comfortable lobby and breakfast available which looked appetizing. We had other breakfast plans. Complimentary coffee was available in the lobby in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.

This is relatively new hotel in the area and location is great. It's remodeled 3 story building close to Whole Foods, Museum of art etc. Decor is trendy and modern. Rooms minimalist style and clean, beds are comfortable. Light in too dimmed and bathroom is a bit dark for my taste. Front desk is friendly. Our room was ready before check in time and we got in early. There is a little shop near front desk with drinks, Kind bars, fruit and a few snacks. Unfortunately, coffee ( although it was La Colombe) was not hot and not really good. All in all, a great option to stay! 4.5 *

We got this hotel room last minute and we were so pleased! The check in was quick and easy, they recommended parking to us that was at a good rate. Everything was controlled from the phone, with nice tech features. The rooms were very modern and clean, and it was close to all the places we wanted to go to as we were in walking distance to alot of the places! Great place and great service!

Cute boutique hotel with such an accommodating staff. We got in very late in the evening so they let us check out late the next day, no problem. Walking distance to the Art museum and Fairmont neighborhood. There's a gym on site too, small but efficient! Would definitely recommend.

I enjoyed my stay here. Very nice staff, rooms were very nice. (Even for me who is not a techy person). Because of the reviews I asked for a fridge and microwave in my reservation, so they were present my entire stay. I also requested additional towels given no daily room service, also present. They had umbrella for reservation when it rained so we could still walk around. Ate breakfast there, very cute. My outdoor patio area very cute. Reasonabley priced. Had no complaints. Very near to a lot of things.

I had the most horrible experience ever this evening when checking into this supposedly upscale hotel. The young woman who was at the desk refused to check us in to a prepaid reservation made by my elderly parents who no longer have a guest room. I'd been here many times before and never encountered the degree of snark and disrespect exhibited by this 20-something Russian girl. After she spoke to mother at length , consulted past records of our stays here, and spoke at length to my mother, she still refused to check us in. I eventually insisted that she call her manager who finally told her to check us in. It was incredibly offensive to be treated like that. No self-respecting hotel would allow their customer-facing representative to greet guests with such an utter lack of courtesy or respect. Even though I've stayed here before and it's been fine, I will have a very hard time coming back for fear of being mistreated like that again because I'm older or maybe I don't present as rich enough to stay here. Unacceptable.
