If mankind went to da moon, then why can't I pull up on my folden electric scooter at da ritz n meet my coworker from Burlington coat facory n sip a couple yinglings under that nice dome? That's exactly what we did. Did u know this building was originally the Gorard Trust corn xchange bank building? Frank furness was cookin wit gas when he made dis place. My boy Frank said yall gonna bask in sum glory when u step in here. He said d-rock when u walk in wearin the backward Phillies fitted city connect addition along wit da 3x iverson black n gold jersey u gonna be treated wit respect. U a payen cusomer n u gonna flash da cash n we all know money talks. Everyone friendly n nice n we have a good time wit a few yinglings suds n the bartender was a good ol bloke or whatever them fancy people say. After me n Steven dapped up 2 say a fond farewell inside I rode off into da night down broad st over where that boot bar is but I couldn't stop because the girl wearin a bowlin shirt there wit a tank top n me had words at the broad street diner one day n I swore she could never look at me again. This has been another review that make u feel good. I feel nothing these days.

Great service, wonderful room, comfy beds, AMAZING view from the room (especially because we were on one of the highest floors), and a beautiful lobby. I loved some of the extra details like the sand sculpture that was in process while I was there, the champagne vending machine, and the sign by the elevator that was constantly changing to show the weather or just greet you and say hello. The restaurant was good (although the portions are pretty small for the price), but the next day they offered a free to go breakfast for guests which was pretty cool. The location is fabulous, right by city hall, Reading Terminal Market, the convention center, and the major spots of Center City. I stayed for a conference and I'm so glad I chose the Ritz.

The check in staff and house keeping and bar staff day/morning shift were good. I didn't attend the bar in the evenings so I can't comment. A few things went wrong but nothing major. The hotel is lacking ambiance. Not sure what they can do about that. The location is great. I would stay again definitely. The beds are so comfortable and the pillows make you never want to leave the bed. I've already been on the website ordering them. I just have to find the bathrobes now as they were also fabulous as were the bathrooms accessories.

This is my third time staying at the RC in downtown Philadelphia and it didn't disappoint. From the monent we arrived to the final minutes at Valet, we were treated like family. We enjoyed a night at the bar, breakfast inside the lobby and the care from guest relations was a 10/10. On the second morning, I left my hoodie on a chair in the lobby. They secured it and had it to me that night. There are plenty of options to stay in downtown Philly, but the Ritz Carlton service is what brings us back each time.

It's the most wonderful time of the year, and that means it's the right time to stop into the Ritz for one of their special hot chocolates! They are huge, decadent, and perfect for sharing (I honestly don't think I could finish one myself!). The Christmas decorations all around the lobby set the perfect ambiance to go along with the festive drink! If you're looking for an ~adult~ beverage, the espresso martinis are also delicious! The only downside of this perfect Christmas spot is that it is very popular, so you will likely be waiting for a table & service is very slow. We had a family event in the burbs, but thought it would be fun to stay in the city. If i had to do it again I'd probably stay in the burbs because the back and forth all weekend with the Philly traffic wasn't easy. However, if you need to be in the city this is a great location and a beautiful historic hotel. We had 2 rooms next to each other for our family and one room was way larger and nicer than the other. They both had 2 double beds. There was plenty of room in the larger room for 2 queens so that would be have been preferred, but they did bring a cot up to that room which helped with the sleeping arrangements. The bathrooms were a nice size and the showers were quite spacious (very long). They service here was incredibly slow. Ordering muffins/croissaints to go at the restaurants downstairs took almost 30 min and the valet told us our car would take 30 min (unacceptable when paying $70/night for valet); However, the people who work here were incredibly helpful and even offered to get my youngest a special ritz stuffed animal when they saw he was losing it. Vacations = no sleep for my kids, which always leads to meltdowns. Unfortunately, they had trouble locating a stuffed animal, but had several people looking it and delivered it to the room, which was so nice. We did eat breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. The service again was slow, but the egg white frittata was delicious. And the iced latte was also pretty good! We did get to explore the city a bit and it was very conveniently located to all the shopping my daughter wanted to do on Walnut Street (brandy melville, alo, aritzia and other teenage shopping destinations). I was bummed i left my workout clothes/shoes at home because also saw some favorite workout studios within walking distance: soul cycle and rumble. My husband and son also found it convenient to try a philly cheesesteak and stop by the liberty bell.

Could be the worst Ritz Carlton we ever stayed at. When you hear Ritz you think the best of the best- this is a big let down On the surface it is beautiful property and in a great part of the city The check in person seriously was clueless about everything. But we finally checked in The upgraded king room was so small and the bathroom has no counter space. Not good for two people. There is a separate room for the toilet which has no fan to exhaust the bathroom. Fortunately we had a book of matches We went down to the bar late night. Ordered a glass of red wine that was way under poured and served in a champagne flute - seriously? For $23 a glass I was ripped off The turkey club was not good. The meat was fresh but I would not call what they served me a turkey club. And we had it with a side salad in place of fries and the server brought three dressings. Every single dressing- that is made in house was not edible to put on a salad so we asked for oil and vinegar Also the server was very forgetful and slow service Almost forgot- although the AC works- it gets loud in the middle of the night as if there is a huge down pour of rain. Very annoying I can go on- but this definitely is not a Ritz Carlton that lives up to their good reputation. I feel violated for what they charge for this hotel and how poorly managed it is. I would have rather stayed at their sister Marriott property Do yourself a favor and go to the Four Seasons or other property

Positives: Clean room, friendly staff, good location. Negatives: DO NOT take room 1601 or anything near the elevators, Ask in advance. They will say "we upgraded you", which sounds great but it's probably because no one else wants those rooms. It sounds like a train is in your room from the elevators. You will not be able to sleep. We finally called and were told they could " turn off the one elevator". Which they did BUT it tells you they know about this problem. FYI turning off one gave us a few hours of sleep because the others still rattled continuously. For the price, stay at the Market St. Marriott. if you are a member of their travel points. ALSO: we waited twice in the lobby once for lunch and once for a drink and no ever took our order. We left and went somewhere else. All in all an expensive and disappointing experience.
