I came here with a group of friends to get some homework done. It's a nice cozy spot to complete any school work. They have an upstairs level where there is more space and they have outlets to charge your items! The service was great and helpful! Their French vanilla latte was exactly what I needed to power through my work. Will be coming again!

I enjoy Volvo as a coffee shop to cowork or to otherwise spend a slow morning. Today I ordered a bacon and egg panini which comes with spinach. What I received was a sandwich featuring undercooked, bacon, a smashed medium boiled egg, and frozen spinach. I was appalled. I asked the person at the register what was that about and she just kept repeating that "all of the eggs are medium boiled.... No it doesn't say it anywhere on the menu, but that's just the way they do things." She offered to have them remake it, but why would I have you remake a sandwich that features a boiled egg and frozen spinach? And why would you insult my intelligence and when frozen spinach and fresh spinach look nothing alike. To add insult to injury, I'm so irritated because her response had me vexed, and I just threw the remaining half of the sandwich in the trash before I took a picture. I would never say that this isn't a place to visit, but it is somewhere where you should ask more questions before you place an order... because the staff won't share pertinent information and nothing on the menu is as it seems

Located in a great spot, I was excited to try this place. They had excellent ratings and it looked appealing when we walked in. There isn't a lot of seating on the first level, but they have stairs to an upper area which does have good seating and a good vibe to hang and drink coffee. They had snacks but we were there just for the coffee. I was happy to see that they had a nice espresso machine and what looked to be good beans. As usual, I ordered my latte. I always watch the barista prepare the drink and I was expecting something very good. Now, what I'm about to share will probably only be cared about by the coffee nerds reading this, but the barista did something that should never be done at a place not named Starbucks. She was preparing my 2 lattes and she didn't use a large milk pitcher but clearly filled it for a large drink and not my normal size order (12oz std). Well, she poured the first drink, and then when she finished she started to pour the second drink but only had enough milk for about half of the second drink. She then proceeded to steam more milk and then once that finished, she finished pouring the rest of my drink. Wait, what?!?! I couldn't believe it. I was looking at her like she was nuts and she seemed oblivious. She handed me the 2 drinks (served in porcelain mugs) and I didn't say anything. I took my drinks upstairs to our table and was in shock. She was able to draw a tiny rosetta in the first drink but was (for obvious reasons) not able to draw anything in the second. The saving grace here is that despite this major error in procedure, the drink was good. It wasn't great, but had a descent creamy flavor and at a good temperature, although a little on the thicker cappuccino side of the drink scale. I was able to drink it and it was better than I was expecting given her prep. Overall I struggled with how I would rate this place. On the one hand, I can't believe the barista wasn't trained better and would do what she did. Perhaps she worked at Starbucks in the past and that was what she knew. Perhaps she just didn't care (which judging from the expression on her face, seemed likely). But, for a coffee nerd like myself this is a huge no-no. But, on the other hand, the finished product, however not great looking, was pretty good. I didn't need to add sugar. It was too hot or bitter. So, because I care most about the finished drink, I decided I wouldn't be as harsh as I originally thought. If back near that area, I would go back and give it another chance. I hope this barista gets more training as I believe having good techniques and consistent procedures leads to consistency good results.

This place never disappoints food & drink wise. Seating on the other hand can be hard to find and outlets are even harder to find on the first floor but the second floor has both available so don't give up on this spot if it looks busy. The main chef has been there for years and he knows how to make some amazing food with basic ingredients. You can't go wrong with avocado toast, a breakfast sandwich or any a panini here and I highly recommend adding the salad. The vinaigrette that comes on the side is deeeelicious. My favorite beverage is the London fog. The americano is also good but I need to add milk to cut down on the roastiness. All in all this place is busy for good reason. It's been around for ages and there's plenty of food me beverages to allow you to work, study or read a good book for an extended period of time. Parking is metered on the street but if you park a few blocks up from Main Street you can avoid paying for it. There's also a bathroom available for customers.

Went here with my book club for this month's meeting. We wanted to be in Manayunk; conveniently located near the train station and on Main Street alongside many shops and restaurants. Unsurprisingly a very long line at 11 AM on a Saturday morning, especially after the Rocky Run. Despite the crowd, we were able to get a table. Prices are what you would expect for a coffee shop like this, but service was decent and fast. There is seating outside, downstairs, and upstairs, but the upstairs was completely full of people studying. In addition to coffee, I ordered a grilled chicken panini. The coffee was $4 + $1.50 for a flavor, which felt a little steep for a single pump of flavor but whatever, $11 for the panini. The panini was good, but the chicken breast was a little thick. It was very filling and I would get it again.

This review is only for the space and location. Incredibly large 2 floor space with plenty of tables, outlets and Wi-Fi. Move over Starbucks, this is so much better. Hands down, easily would have been 5 stars. I deducted 1 star for the annoying flies that were swirling around continuously on the 2nd floor. At. Every. Table. It was kind of hilarious yet frustrating to see that all customers were constantly waving their hands to battle these flies away. No surrender lol. It was my first time here. I was speaking to one of the other customers who is a regular. She said that the fly issue is certainly a constant problem. She felt it was because the store must not take care of their garbage well. Her hypothesis. Both of us agreed that on this day, we still choose Volo because you can't beat the space and location.

Love this place! I haven't tried much, as im a creature of habit and am well aware of what I like and very rarely stray from that. What I will say is that I quite love what I do get from here! I love cheese danishes and will get them just about anywhere and this one really stands out to me. I also typically get a vanilla matcha latte and this drink in particular is far better than others i've gotten at different cafes. They are also extremely fast when making your drink. Inside there is decent but limited seating on the first floor, seating outside when it's not raining, and seating upstairs. be warned the seating upstairs is quiet. it's people doing work. for someone who wants to chat and enjoy some conversation over coffee stick to downstairs and outside. Overall great quality drinks and pasteries!

This coffee has a nice indoor space and also an outdoor space (right on the Main St). The service was okay, not rude nor friendly. I ordered decaf iced Americano, and my daughter ordered iced herbal tea - both nicely made.

Stopped in for an early morning latte. Staff was super friendly and not pretentious. The employee I dealt with happily answered my questions and made a great recommendation. The pumpkin latte was fantastic. I really appreciated that they still do latte art on to go lattes. It makes it feel a little bit more special and that was a nice touch!
