Stayed here recently for 3 nights. Pros - staff was friendly - the place is located close to a lot of key Philadelphia landmarks, so you can def save time and money walking - very affordable - room was spacious - enjoyed the convenient breakfast buffet Cons - fitness room was very small - they give you body wash and shampoo in small containers that I went through with two showers - located next to a major street so lots of loud noises - TV did not have a guide

I recently stayed at this Wyndham hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience from the moment I arrived. Upon pulling up to the property, I discovered that there was an active employee strike taking place directly in front of the hotel. This information was never communicated to me prior to my arrival. A paper issued to the guest when checking in is no form of communication. At check-in, I was informed that the parking garage was not affiliated with the hotel, and I received inconsistent information from different front desk staff about whether parking was complimentary or not. The strike began early each morning, around 6:30 a.m., with loud yelling, chanting, and banging on instruments. Despite staying on the eighth floor, the noise was extremely disruptive and made it impossible to rest. The hotel's restaurant was closed, and the complimentary breakfast offered very limited options--no prepared hot foods such as eggs or oatmeal--suggesting that the strike may have involved kitchen staff as well. What was most disappointing was the lack of acknowledgement or accommodation from the hotel management. Guests were not offered any form of compensation, refund, or even an apology for the inconvenience. In addition to the disruption, the condition of the room was below expectations. The room had an unpleasant odor, visible wear and damage, and did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned--I even found clothing left behind from a previous guest. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. The lack of communication regarding the strike, the poor cleanliness, and the inconsistent information from staff all point to deeper management and operational issues. Wyndham should have been transparent with guests and taken steps to make our stays more comfortable during this situation. I'm still waiting on an email of a receipt or a survey to come from this hotel- nothing yet.

The concierge Chris was so helpful and amazing. He made a huge difference in the enjoyment of our stay in Philadelphia. The security people were also fantastic

The nicest thing about this hotel is the lobby and the fact that it has a restaurant/kitchen on site. The room appeared to be clean and tidy. The shower curtain was clean but severely bleached. The bathroom and areas near the window have bubbling and old water marks that are clear to the eye. The iron was small and had something melted on it that made using it basically unusable. Parking is $50 a night, but the receptionist said if I presented my parking ticket at checkout out, I would get $20 back of the $100 I had to prepay. The saving grace for me, is the location of the hotel I distance to most of the popular landmarks and attractions. I was able to walk to just about and explore. If you're looking for just a place to stay then this place will do just fine.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION (not service!) The room itself was good--good mattress, pillows, shower, and very clean. The location is PERFECT for seeing the old town area, just a few blocks from the historical museums and Independence hall. But--the front desk service was quite poor. 1) The hotel phones did not work for two days, so it was impossible to contact the hotel (even the main Wyndham office couldn't). This was a problem because a week earlier they said to call the night before to get an early-check-in, and this was impossible. 2) When I got there and requested an early check in, they didn't have a room left (because they couldn't take calls to hold one). I'd been told early check in was $50, now they quoted me $75! And their phones were STILL down--for two days? 3) The front desk service was bad and unfriendly. I did not choose maid service for my room, so I requested a bottle of free water for my second day. I was told I had to pay for it--but if I'd had maid service it would have been free. This doesn't make sense. Nor were they able to supply me with a towel or additional shampoo. Luckily the maid staff was very helpful and was able to give me these items when they were in the hall. But why did the front staff act like they couldn't do anything??? One of the reasons you stay in a hotel rather than an airbnb is service. Yet this hotel basically had none.

Everything good but first day I was sent to a room where it was unlocked and the housekeeping was still cleaning the room so I given another room. All was good except the pool was OK but wasn't as nice as the photos on the website. I think those photos were older and some ways, it seemed a little dated. Sometimes crowded with the heat but people understood generally how to make room for everyone. It would have been nice to have a hot tub too. I had breakfast at the restaurant on the 30th. The female server was very good and managed the whole restaurant. Food was good.

Horrible hospitality and even worse customer service, the reservation was made under my husbands named booked 3 weeks in advance. They emailed (didn't even have the courtesy to call) that they cancelled our reservation the night before. I called, and was hung up on and transferred multiple times to no avail. Finally when they answered the front desk had no solution. DO NOT BOOK HERE YOU WILL BE LEFT STRANDED THE DAY BEFORE YOUR STAY!!! I am extremely upset with Wyndham reservations and will stay away.

Location and pricing are what makes this place a reasonable selection. The hotel itself is somewhat dated, including the bedding. If you want to be near old town, and you are not planning on a lot of hotel time, it works.

Conference Review Only! I attended a two day conference at the Wyndham earlier this week. Being early Spring, the weather outside can be a bit unpredictable, yet I found the conference rooms well prepared from a temperature point of view. That might seem like a silly way to start a review, however, stuffing a bunch of folks in a room that is either too hot or too cold will not make for a successful conference, so hats off to the Wyndham team for getting things 'just right' right out of the gate. We ended up with what looked like two merges rooms for our speaker presentations and another room for a mini-vendor setup and networking space. The rooms we were provided had numerous round tables which all seemed to have a decent view of the projectors. Sound and lighting seemed to work fine, however, the microphones kept dying (not sure if that might have been user error on the speakers or something else). Lunch was solid. Nothing overly fancy - salad and sandwiches along with soup and light dessert options. Coffee and tea were available for a majority of the conference as well - again, basic but hit the target. Living in the Philadelphia area, I do not foresee myself staying here based purely on need. However, I'm consider for a future conference if I were hosting. Thanks to the staff for working things out in the background.
