Great food. Simple but very good. Had sirloin tips and the Portuguese steak (with fried egg, garlic sauce, potatoes, plus a bit of spice). We came in on a Sunday around 7:30. Both the bar and the dining room were empty, which had us a bit worried. They even had to turn on the dining room lights for us. But we stuck it out and were glad we did. Food was delicious. The only complaint, and it is minor, is that my sauce had a lot of bay leaves in it and they didn't remove them. I had to hunt down and remove the whole and broken leaves, since they aren't really edible. And re the empty restaurant, that resolved itself by the time we left. They were seating a party of 10 in the dining room. And the bar had 2 tables of 4 and 2 tables of 2 (12 total) all eating what looked like good food. Somehow we managed to hit them during their Sunday evening lull. We didn't try it, but the very nice owner tells us they specialize in charcoal grilled chicken. He made it sound good and it is on our list to order next time we're in the area.

Wow, I can't believe how bad this place is. I came for dinner on a Saturday night. I should have suspected it wasn't very good when i got there at 7:00 and most of the tables were empty. I sat at the bar and was promptly waited on by the bar maid. I asked for a menu, but was never asked if i wanted a drink. After ordering the Red Snapper, I was asked if i wanted a drink. I asked for a glass of water. About 5 minutes later I was asked if i wanted some olives. I accepted, and was brought a small bowl of pretty good olives. I then ordered a glass of the house wine. She brought me my wine, and some bread. After a while I had to ask for some silverware. She still hasn't gotten my water so i asked for it again and she told me she thought i didn't want it since I ordered wine. When my order arrived I immediately noticed that instead of broccoli (like it said on the menu), it had some frozen peas and carrots. Yuk. The snapper was very tasty however, it was a bit over cooked. Also, it wasn't cleaned out at all. It was scaled and served whole, but inside there was all the guts you normally clean out. At no time during my meal did anyone come by and ask me if I needed anything, or if everything was all right. After finishing my meal and wine i waited ten minutes for it to be cleared. More than twenty five minutes later, I still hadn't been asked if i wanted coffee, dessert or the check. Finally I had to flag down a different waitress and ask for the check. In addition, the music was way too loud to enjoy a conversation without having to yell. Overall, I'd have to say this was one of the worst restaurants I've been to.

This place is as authentic as it gets.. The majority of the staff and patrons are either Portuguese or Brazilian- which adds to the experience IMO. Not all cultures value being rushed like we Americans do, so be prepared to wait a bit for service and your food. If you're not an impatient ####, than it shouldn't be a problem. From the hot Portuguese bread to the "flaming chorizo" to the Portuguese steak (steak topped with ham and an egg) sitting in a bath of garlic sauce and homemade chips to the bread pudding and espresso, it was just a great meal.. Reasonably priced and always good!

Terrific food for an evening out with family, friends or just a couple. Very good steaks, seafood and salad. The bread is served with your meal from DeLuca's Italian bakery. Then an espresso with dessert to finish off your meal.

I came here with my brother on a whim. Found it online, and decided to try something new instead of our usual Bensalem haunts. I was a bit skeptical about the location, while very close and just across the bridge into Jersey, the area looked deserted and as if there weren't many other businesses nearby. As soon as we got out of the car, I could feel my brother looking at me like "this was YOUR idea! We should've gone to Chipotle!" The few regulars at the bar stared at us when we came through the door. Guess we must've really looked out of place! The dining room was dark. A really lovely waitress attended to us and turned the lights on. We had the dining room to ourselves, although it was a bit chilly. While the food is pricey, it tastes delicious and I believe it's worth it. Some of the best seafood I've had in my life, and a great introduction to Portuguese cooking. I'm not sure if I'd sit in and eat again, maybe it gets livelier in the evenings. Looks like there is a pool table and a dancing area, so perhaps we were a bit early. However, I'd definitely place a carry out order since the food was that good and the portions were large. By the end of dinner my brother also admitted that the food was tasty and not all my ideas about venturing to the unknown for some eats are terrible.

Had dinner here with my wife. I had the red snapper with vegetables and it was very tasty with authentic flavors. Your first impression will cause you to pause but go ahead and get an entree.

Best BBQ chicken you can get!! Go here on Sundays and you can get amazingly good chicken. Highly recommend to anyone wanting something different than the regular grind.
