I'm Colombian born and raised. Food was tasty and fresh. Soup was very authentic and hot which I really appreciate, (there is nothing worse than a cold soup), I'm a picky rice eater since it is my favorite food and they surprised me because it was actually really good, it reminded me of my childhood back in Colombia. Service was also great, the server was really nice and helped us identify what we really wanted from the menu. Overall an outstanding experience thanks so much!

Loved this place!!! I was born and raised in Ecuador and definitely enjoyed the food here! I am an encebollado addict and this one hit the spot we also had a amazingly fresh ceviche with large shrimps. The way they make the ceviche is probably my favorite, super light and flavorful. This place also has pastries, Quaker, and sodas/juices from home. Very authentic. I will certainly be back for more!!!

We drove 2hours from Lancaster, PA just to eat at this restaurant and it was so worth it! They serve traditional Ecuadorian Cuisine and it was excellent! We ordered the empanadas verdes and the sweet plantain with cheese as an appetizer. We ordered a passion fruit shake and a soursop shake and they were amazing! We ordered catfish soup and ceviche de mariscos and fried tilapia with rice and salad and tostones. Absolutely amazing!!!we will definitely be back!!!!

I got some takeout from El Sazon De Dona Eva yesterday and it was disappointing. Latin comidas are delicious and I wanted to live in the Caribbean for dinner. I ordered 2 empanadas, beef and chicken, Carne Asada which came with rice and beans, sweet plantains and a salad along with some flan for dessert. The empanadas were small, they fit in the palm of my hand. They were in lack of any flavor or spice. The Carne Asada was a small, flat piece of dried out beef again with no flavor. The rice was nice, but there was not enough beans and the beans covered about 1/3 of the rice. What am I going to do with all the leftover rice. The accompanying salad was fresh with not enough-you got it, french dressing. (What else but french dressing with a Latino meal) The only good thing was the flan, absolutely delicious and a nice portion to boot. Maybe the food doesn't travel well, but I had plenty of takeout with the same kind of food and I truly enjoyed it. Looks like spam, eggs and El Sazon De Dona rice for breakfast (Hawaiian style!)

This is my one of my favorite restaurants to eat Latin American food. I wish I could have found this place a long time ago and save time driving up to North Philly looking for authentic Latino dishes. The attention is wonderful, the prices are unbeatable and and their plates are always beautifully presented. I love this restaurant!

Great spot! I have passed this place several times and meant to stop in but don't often go to Upper Darby. It is worth the trip! I studied abroad in Ecuador and have desperately wanted to find an Ecuadorian restaurant, but most restaurants in the Philly area that do have Ecuadorian food on their menus are "fusion" restaurants that pull foods from several other Latin American countries. That's great, but I wanted straight-up Ecuadorian. Doña Eva's is the place. I brought my trusting boyfriend along, and together we ordered yuca fries, fried plantains with cheese, and fried shrimp in bacon for appetizers... you may be sensing a theme here... the plantains with cheese is a great combo, sweet, soft plantains with the dense, salty Ecuadorian cheese is one of my favorite combos. I love yuca fries because I love all things starchy, but my boyfriend was not so impressed. They're kind of like giant French fries. For entrees we ordered the churrasco Ecuatoriano (steak with fried egg, rice, salad, fried plantains, avocado and salcipapas) and the garlic shrimp (shrimp in garlic sauce, salad, avoacdo, tostones and rice). This was an insane amount of food. We stuffed ourselves and had plenty to bring home. The steak was perfectly cooked and the shrimp was really flavorful. I love tostones too, they're fried green plantains (savory, not sweet). I've never gotten into salcipapas. It's just French fries and a hotdog. Never understood the appeal in Ecuador either. But overall it was a great meal and I feel really nostalgic for Ecuador now.

Finally a great place to eat off of 69street station. Definitely authentic. Can eat in cozy dinning area or order out from the front desk. Clean space, great music and beautiful art work. I'm so glad I came in and so is my tummy.
