You ingrates awarding only two stars to this fine establishment need to seek therapy. I had the loveliest late night meals at Nicky D's. The girls at the Enterprise counter of DTW recommended this place as representational of Detroit area fast food. I was told to order the coney dog. A long serene drive down Telegraph and finally, I turn into the driveway that belongs to Nicky D's. The interior is pure 90s liminal nostalgia creepshow (I mean this in the best way). A formidable barrier of plexi separates gen pop from the employees. And those employees, they're actually cooking. Technically, the layout is fast food, but they're doing more than most short order cooks around this country. I got me one of them coney dogs and also a fish cod sammich.... Ok, here's the thing Detroit, the coney dog is not special. A dog with chili, mustard and onions is delicious, ok ok, it is delicious, but is it particularly Detroit? In actual fact, that is a standard dog for many regions. The fish cod sando smacked. That batter or dredge they put on it was crisped up right and had a numberless amount of nooks and crannies. The fish itself was moist and perfectly flaked. Also the service was nice. The girl at the register was like royalty in the way of her manners and comportment. And they are slammed busy.

Terrible grilled chicken salad. Way too much salad , not enough chicken, tomato was hard, no egg. Upon calling , maybe there was bad reception because I couldn't hear the young lady say Nicky D's when she answered. Instead of her repeating herself and restating the name again ( Nicky Ds) how can i help you. ..she says ...you didn't hear me ?? I said it when i answered.....with a slight condescending tone. Please understand customer service is everything I can honestly say I probably will never order anything from this particular location again. Definitely overpriced for the lack iof good customer service and mediocre food .

Food is always good for the most part. It's the customer service. Some of those girls in the window extremely rude for no reason. They're not good under pressure. I do want to say thank you once again to the woman with the blue hair she's very polite.

If I could give zero starts I would ... I ordered three chili dogs no onions somehow onions end up on my food and when I said something she scooped off the onions and gave me the same ones back only for me to bite into an onion and I'm allergic I would sue but this place already look like it's going downhill I'm not gonna waste my time ... keep on driving past this place they not worth it food dry and nasty and taste burnt

Late night run for food. I ordered the chicken club sandwich. I never seen a chicken club with the meat slice this way. The meat was very thick and dry and the texture was chewy. Very unappetizing took a couple bites and threw it away.

I don't even do things like this but the Nikki D's on Telegraph and 5 Mile needs to be shut down. The Buddy burger had an odd smell but since I was starving I went against my first mind and took a bite. It taste like sewage and I immediately spit it out and felt sick. When I called back to let them know something may be wrong with the meat the rude manager Brandon immediately denied that anything was wrong with my burger and actually acted as if I was just trying to get free food. I explained that I was actually too far to turn around so I was not calling for an exchange or even a refund but just wanted them to check their meat so nobody else would experience what I did, get sick or worse, but the manager Brandon was more concerned with being defensive than looking into what I told him and began to get unprofessional and disrespectful, displaying complete disregard for me as not only a long time frequent customer but as a human being. For this reason I will no longer spend my money with Nikki D's (on Telegraph and 5 Mile to be specific) and will be promoting to anyone who eats or orders fromthere to do the same. To ALL black people in the area and elsewhere please share, post, tag, and retag this with me to send the message that if THEY refuse to respect us then WE refuse to spend our black dollars in any of their establishments. Employees like Brandon are exactly how people end up on Crime in the D.

Extremely rude. No patience with young adult, spend $60 with them and how they treated my teenager was unacceptable. Both the women in there was extremely rude. My daughter kept apologizing to them and it was their fault because she felt it would make them trade her better and it actually made them treat her worst.

The waitresses are horrible and inattentive! Especially in the drive thru...they do not communicate with you and it always results in you getting the wrong food! Then, get an attitude after you have waited in line forever to get the wrong food and then want to blame you for the wrong order! Don't look to the so-called manager for reprieve because she will just push you to the side and tell you that you are not a customer and will get to you when she feels like it! Not to mention she did not process my refund as requested! This is why you never pay with cash at these places! The worst experience ever! Will never recommend and/or visit this location again! Specifically, Redford location.... Telegraph and 5 Mile! If you like rude, unpleasant service and your time wasted...then this will be the place to go to experience it!

Cashier attitude terrible... I asked for some extra ketchup she gave me 2 packets then I had to give her $2 for some more ketchup...then told me not to come back...I will not go back.
