We recently had the chance to try Rocky’s New York Pizza, as it came highly recommended by friends. With eager anticipation, we ordered the homemade garlic bread and a sausage and mushroom pizza to go. The short drive home felt like torture, as the enticing aroma wafted through the car, making our mouths water.

Upon opening the pizza box, our eyes lit up at the sight of the beautifully presented pie. The crust was cooked to perfection, golden and crispy, promising a delightful base for our meal. However, the excitement quickly faded once we took our first bites. Unfortunately, the pizza itself lacked the robust flavor we had hoped for. The toppings seemed to fall flat, leaving us disappointed.

As for the garlic bread, while it was undoubtedly fresh, it was slightly overcooked. We missed the rich garlic flavor that is a hallmark of great Italian cooking, which left the bread feeling more like an afterthought than a standout side.

In our household, pizza is usually a leftover treat, but this experience didn’t quite elevate it to that level. While Rocky’s may have the potential with its appealing crust, the overall execution on flavor left us wanting more. It’s safe to say we won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

We ordered take out. There was plenty of seating available. The place was clean and smelled good.  Music was playing welcoming atmosphere.  Staff were nice and friendly.  We had the Rocky special pizza and a Philly cheese steak sandwich.  Delicious,  I recommend this place and will be going again soon.

Great family owned pizza and spaghetti spot in Desert Hot Springs. I know everyone has their favorite pizza spot, but I think Rocky's is one of the best. Their sauce is tangy but not too much tomato. The sausage is crumbled not a sliced link, which adds flavor. Their small salad is huge and the dressing is tasty. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The decor is old school but very inviting and comfortable.  The music is all Italian tunes which adds to the atmosphere. Definitely worth many return visits. And worth trying some of the other dishes. We sampled the chicken parm and the chicken was very tender and the sauce tasty. On my list to try.

Ordered some Lasagna with meatballs and wife ordered some Chicken wings on Door dash. The driver had a little bit of a problem finding our hotel, but that was fine, no problem.
The food was still hot and delicious, we were actually surprised how good it was.
Sure was better than "Capri Italian" who is on door dash but didn't deliver our food.
Thanks Rocky's, saved our dinner. 👍👍👍👍👍

Nice place,smells were awesome. We took our food to go. 1 lg 4 topping, and 1 med 2 topping and cheesy bread $70. Small arcade, lasagna, spaghetti, pitchers and individual drinks. Candles on the tables, paper plates upon request. Nice little place. Pictures online brought us in. Sorry no photo for the cheesy bread we ate it all before I could ☺️
