This place has been here as long as I have been in the area. We have always sat at the boat. Ya really know what you get into sitting at some boats and unfortunately there were not a lot of people so the boats kept just going around. Pricing is reasonable the service was ok, just did there job nothing else. If you have an urge for sushi boat this is a good option. I think they only have the boat thurs thru Sun. You might want to check if you're going for that.

Rotating sushi boats are available on Fridays (including lunch), Saturdays, and Sundays. Everything was fresh because I came for lunch. I like sushi but am often a little disappointed by sushi restaurants because a lot of places just don't really taste exceptional to me...I mostly gauge by the salmon (my fave) but other fish too. The 2 pieces of salmon/sake nigiri here were so good! They had the thick white lines on it (connective tissue?) and were juicy. I just took the plate off one of the boats. I posted a pic of the prices but it's kind of hard to tell some of the plates apart when there's food on them. This was $6.50, as are all of the nigiri. Also ordered a 2 piece unagi nigiri that was handed to me after a few minutes. Tasty as well. Sadly they had no more anago (saltwater eel) - hopefully just temporarily though. Pulled a shrimp tempura off the boat as well. This probably wasn't made in-house as they weren't crispy or even warm. They did crisp up in the air fryer and unlock the shrimpy flavor (the batter itself is plain but not bad by any means) but it's not that good when just eaten there. I also ordered a Kobe roll (6 pieces). This came warm with the (cooked) salmon tempura and had tobiko and green onions on top. Delicious with the dollops of sriracha mayo sauce or whatever (just a guess as sauce wasn't listed on menu). These were pretty big. I weighed them later at home and each roll was about 50 grams. Lastly they have lunch specials - $22.95 for an 8 piece California roll + your choice of another 8-piece roll. I went with the Rock n' Roll (Eel, avocado, cucumber, with Tobiko-fish roe). The 16 pieces here were slightly smaller (30 grams).

We recently had a great time at Kobe Japanese Restaurant last night. After attempting to ease my craving for Japanese food in the area a lot of place closed early. This was our last resort in the city and there the open sign blinking open open open! It's super convenient with lots of parking, and the atmosphere is really cozy. There's even a cute Japanese koi pond right next to our table, which was a nice touch. Thank you to Theresa her polite service. The food was really well-presented, which made the whole dining experience even better. Again we went a bit late for dinner and we had the restaurant to ourselves, and while the food was still tasty, I'd rate the food 4.3 stars for this visit, but I'd definitely come back at a different time to really enjoy everything they have to offer. The prices are pretty reasonable, and the restaurant has a lot of potential. I'm definitely looking forward to giving it another shot!

Being on the coast and enjoying sushi is always such a treat! I had way too many salmon nigiri cause that was definitely my favorite. It definitely adds up $$, but very good vibes sitting by the bar as the boats carried the sushi. Signs could improved for better understanding for improved service and experiences as a whole

I've been here many times in the past few months and I can't resist the sushi boat option! Something about picking from a variety of things always gets me hooked. The servers are always so sweet and helpful. The sushi chef does a great job. It's sad to see the boat area almost always empty, which I think is a state of our economy and how fewer people can afford to splurge! Although I do wonder why as we are living in silicon valley with all the richie riches. At any rate, if you want to splurge it's a fun outing to do the sushi boat area! I bring my daughter here and we enjoy it very much!

I absolutely love Kobe Japanese Restaurant and I can eat at this place everyday. The staff at Kobe have a professional attitude, friendly service and are attentive to my needs. Today I had my Kobe delivered, the restaurant is a little more than a mile from my home. I received the hot items hot and cold items cold. Today I ordered a Dragon Roll, Chicken Katsu & Tempura Bento Box, Gyoza & Side Salad and everything was delicious. The Chefs and Staff are amazing.

Had came in for a weekend dinner with my family. And what a beautiful decorated with water landscape with coil fish. And very clear and calm atmosphere. Was greeted and received our food very quickly. And most say by far the best sashimi and sushi. Food was delicious definitely recommended this place Thank you again Kobe restaurant

I used come here often, lately I saw rodent feces near the bathroom area and when near sushi bar you can see roaches come out. Very disgusting. I never want to come back again. Sushi men was climbing the area when making sushi not washing hands and really bad. Assorted sashimi all frozen and not fresh. DONT RUIN YOUR DAY eat here and not worthy it for pay for it. Udon all tasteless. They reused wasabi for next customer really gloss! because they served me which included some soy sauce a bit of sashimi leftover I really hate it due to Covid or not, those are not clean fresh!
