Ive been to the Speedway a few times in the past yrs for events! I jus wish they would use this outdoor space more often, its very convenient location. Lots parking, well taken care of, and every event so far has been awesome! They have concerts and outdoor activities often at this location. Everything is always well organized and they have clean porta potties, I always bring my own tissue, I don't use communal tissue, Lol. This past weekend I went to the Hippie Fest, which a blast. Great vendors, music, and food trucks. Next yr I hope more food trcuks come out, the lines were supper long. You are allowed to bring chairs, food, and pet if your dog is dressed for the occasion. Tie Dyeing was a blast, jus bring a shirt or purchase one, the dye is free. I would recommend attended and supporting events in this open space. And the parking lot can handle any size vehicle or camper.

We attended several concerts promoting and produced by cola concerts. The venue space is great however the production management needs help with sound. Over the past 18 years we've been to hundreds of outdoor concerts and festivals that sound great to the crowd unfortunately that is just not the case with cola concerts at the historic Columbia Speedway. We were in cove 11s the first night and 12u the second and the section of middle speakers were on just enough delay to complete ruin the sound. How is it that so many other venues are able to dial in the sound for paying attendees? Maybe all the live music production professionals that know how to make a concert field of this size sound halfway decent are busy attempting to make money elsewhere or cola concerts are simply "ok" with producing a concert with absolute piss-poor sound at best! The bar system is an absolute nightmare. They have an app you use to order and process payments but to actually pick up the drinks you must go wait in line to "check-in" then wait in line again to "pick-up!" It was truly counterintuitive! Most of the staff/security are super friendly but management needs to seriously evaluate both sound production and bar service procedures if they want fans to actually enjoy the experience.
