My dad has been going to substation for years, and I'm fortunate he showed me how great it is. I've only ever ordered the #19 - it is indeed SUPER SPECIAL!

The last 2 visits I've made, my sandwich has been wrong because the employees are making multiple orders at one time. When I ordered my food, I was the only customer in the line, lots of people came in behind me and instead of making my order and letting me go, they made mine and 3 others, causing my order to be wrong and making me wait longer than I should have. Funny enough, while I was in there, they also made a salad wrong due to the same issue. She specifically asked for no onions, as did I- but received them anyway. I would rather wait longer for my food to be right, rather than employees rush to make multiple orders at once. I will not be returning.

I decided to try out this place as it always catches my eye driving past. There's a few locations throughout Columbia so I figured it was a staple of the city. Upon entrance, I was intrigued by the "old school" style of the station. The menu did not seem to have a ton of options but I ended up opting for #19, the Super Special. I was not too impressed at all with the sub as it just did not taste like good quality. The bread was awfully stale and the ingredients although fresh, felt lack luster in portions. The staff was a little slow to help me as they were on the phone as well for a good bit when I walked in. The bathrooms were also pretty short of quality which is a hugely important aspect of a restaurant, especially at opening. All in all, my experience was mid and I feel like there are better places to get a sub in the Columbia area for similar price.

I walked in and was waiting on the family in front of me to make their selections and while waiting, I watched the employee going back-and-forth between the cash register and the kitchen pick at his scalp. I was so disgusted that I excused myself past the family and said out loud I cannot get food from someone picking through his hair.

LOVE SUBS - HATE service received, ordered a sandwich through online service mistakenly at the Knox Abbott location, when I called owner Chris Kuney answered and I respectively asked what my options would be as far as a credit or refund and he rudely replied that he had my order, made it, which cost him money and then asked me what I thought the refund should be. It's a fucking sandwich. Two pieces of bread, maybe a few slices of meat and some lettuce. I'd say keep the change and the sandwich. MERRY CHRISTMAS CHRIS! On the up side, Parklane was very nice, I've provided their info in the picture.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. I literally could eat here every day. Subs or salads you aren't going to get one better anywhere else. Great staff as well. Tip: get your sub hot pressed, it's delicious.

This is a very friendly, fast, fresh and hardworking restaurant. They make sandwiches your way. The bread and ingredients are spot on. The menu is full of your favorite soups, salads and sandwiches. When you taste their food, you understand why they have been around for a while. Great lunch choice ! Not bad for dinner either!!
