Our family experience at Hotel Bennett in Charleston, South Carolina, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, the customer service was absolutely top-notch.

Every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The concierge services were phenomenal, helping us plan our days with precision and even securing hard-to-get dinner reservations.

Housekeeping kept our room immaculate and comfortable, and the servers at the on-site restaurant provided impeccable dining experiences each day.

We choose Hotel Bennett to give us some much needed away time from home and to celebrate our Anniversary. From the moment we walked in the staff was kind and very hospitable. I enjoyed the craftsman ship and detail in the Lobby and other areas. Our room was very fresh and clean. The location is wonderful and surrounded by many great restaurants and shops to choose from. We have had a great experience our first night here and are very pleased with everything.

Hotel Bennett was one of the best hotels my wife and I have ever stayed at! We stayed here on our honeymoon (as an LGBTQ couple) in September 2023 and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is nothing short of perfect. Through the room we booked, we had access to the King's Club which was a GAME CHANGER! It was great for breakfast, light bites, and drinks any time of day! We were there often for sunsets and to hear the church bells across the street. Through the package we booked, we also received a dining credit to the hotel restaurant (The Gabrielle) which was amazing! The spa on sight was fabulous (great staff and ambiance there as well). The hotel is perfectly located on King Street and we loved being able to quickly run back to our hotel during the day while exploring Charleston. We cannot wait to come back for our 5 year anniversary!

Our stay at Hotel Bennett was hilariously bad. Everyone was super nice but literally it seemed like everything went wrong. Here's a summary:

Day 1:
Called to add a package after booking but was told they couldn't find my reservation for an hour. The "Be Mine" welcome (Champagne & truffles) was missing. Room service brought a salad with raw grilled chicken—staff was shocked and took it back. The in-room fridge had expired Coke, Heineken, and a frozen burst Red Bull. They replaced the whole thing but then charged it to my room... Luckily I noticed before checking out.

Day 2:
Front desk said other rooms were available but charged extra despite our issues. New room was nice but awkwardly laid out where the main sitting area is on the other side of the bedroom. Room service startled us during turn-down because we didn't hear them knock so they just came on in. That night we tried getting outside pizza via Uber Eats; it was lost in the lobby for an hour with no front desk update. Some confusion had happened not the hotels fault but for some reason they kept just telling me "we're working on it" when if they would have talked to me I could have instantly said Uber got it wrong and moved on.

Day 3:
Breakfast was delayed 2 hours; thankfully, we had King Club access and ate there. Our order finally arrived after 3 hours, so we had it for lunch. Dinner at Gabrielle was good but slow. The King Club attendant was great during the day (honestly the only part of our stay that we enjoyed), but at night, the replacement barely checked in on guests. We purposefully got Club access for after dinner drinks and snacks - no snacks were restocked and we only got 1 drink the entire hour we were there. The young woman working the night was too focused on just closing down everything for the evening.

We had a wonderful stay at The Bennett! It was the most beautiful hotel and the service was amazing. The view on the rooftop bar is so nice and the drinks were really cool.
