This is the place to stay when visiting Charleston! It is right in the middle of it all! The rooms were immaculate and the service was perfection! These people performed like they were working at the Four Seasons or the Waldorf. The breakfast buffet (included) was wonderful with a spectacular view. It is within walking distance of every place we wanted to go. And by the way, you can't hear any room around you in either direction. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The next time we visit Charleston, we will be staying here.

We have stayed here at least 8 times over the years (if not more), and the service is top notch (we love getting the room that is above the check in area). Love the afternoon wine and cheese. Our room has always been very clean, and I would suggest booking directly through their website as they will give you the best deal you can get. Parking isn't cheap, but it's Charleston and a very standard price.

We stayed here during a family trip and had a mixed experience. The location is fantastic, very close to everything, the French Market, in the heart of downtown. Decent rates. The hotel is spread out between two buildings (cute yellow painted ones), a tad strange. I didn't think front desk was super nice, they did their jobs, got us in and out, but where is the Southern Hospitality, no details about Happy Hour, breakfast, etc. I wish they would have a jug of water in reception area (there's coffee, but water would be great!). The rooms are in the building across the street. Our rooms were right next to elevator, we styed here for 1 night, if we would have booked for more time, I would have changed the rooms. It was noisy, it never disappoints, some late night party people got out of the elevator after midnight, tooo loud and woke us up. The rooms are small, no decent views, could be cleaner. But didn't hang out a lot in there. The Happy Hour is a great bonus (starts at 4 or 5 pm?- double check), the lady working here was nice, we got some red wine, water, she had nice platters of cheese, cold cuts, nuts, fruit, crackers and pickles, mostly pickled okra which I love to have since I get this treat only when I visit Charleston. Nice tables, great space and views around the city. Con? We had a lady who showed up to tell us stories about the city. I think it was a bit much. Nice lady, but we just wanted to chill, talk to each other, catch up. When you visit Charleston you get tired of tours, so we didn't need an extra one while trying to relax. Frankly, it made us leave! Breakfast is another plus! Same space upstairs where they have the cocktail hour. It's not your regular American hotel fare which is usually next to nothing at breakfast. You get a huuuge spread, I do recommend the biscuits (nice, hot, local), the quiche-s, the fresh pastries from local bakery, great selection. There's coffee, fresh orange juice, fresh fruit. And lots more- toast, jelly, cereal (but why get that when you have local goodies), etc. Cynthia, the lady who sets it up is helpful, great to refill everything, nice and caring. Very friendly! Mixed experience, if you need a room in downtown and don't stay for long, Andrew Pickney's could be a decent option!

My husband did a lot of research on our stay. After quite some time, he found a good deal on this hotel. We were not disappointed. The location was perfect for walking to see the sites. We stayed on the 4th floor right down from the solarium. We enjoyed wine and cheese when we checked in. Then breakfast was also in the solarium. Our room and beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Southern hospitality at its best! This boutique hotel is perfect for those looking for a unique stay without the bland feel of major chains. Andrew Pickney pulls no stops when it comes to being hospitable. They may not have a spa, pool, or gym, but they have a full spread daily hot breakfast and a wine & cheese (plus) daily happy hour all complimentary to your stay. Coming from a place where being friendly or even cordial to strangers is dead, staff was friendly and accommodating. Ms. Barbara hosting the wine & cheese socials was exceptional. Despite being here on business, she made my stay feel like visiting family. The room was exactly what I needed with comfort and luxury. The bot text communications were not intrusive and appreciated. Centrally located to many must-see sites, I was able to walk to so many spots on my hit list and felt safe doing it alone. The Andrew Pickney Inn is one of a kind!

If you are looking for a quaint hotel in downtown Charleston that is only blocks from the market, restaurants and shopping, along with beautiful rooms and impeccable service then The Andrew Pinckney Inn is the place for you. When we first pulled up to valet our car, Drew was so friendly, prompt and helpful. They keep your car in a nice secure courtyard. Once inside we were greeted by Brittany and Rebecca with warm smiles and fresh baked cookies and reminded that the hotel offers a complimentary wine and cheese hour in the solarium and beautiful full breakfast each morning. When we stopping in for the wine and cheese reception Barbara was our host and she was awesome! By the way she also had homemade pimento cheese spread as well as many other treats. Another perk that I personally loved with the text concierge, they promptly respond to any questions or needs you might have during your stay. I am well traveled and have spend so many days in hotels that I am lifetime platinum with Marriott and I have to tell you, The Andrew Pinckney Inn is at the top of the list when it comes to customer service and quality. Thank you all for the wonderful experience

From check in to check out everything let or exceeded our expectations. I love that they set up a text with their guests for anything at all. Fresh coffee and cookies at check in, excellent complimentary breakfast each morning, a beautiful wine and snacks for afternoon chill time. Who could ask for anything more? I will say that our room didn't have a window which was great for sleeping but we just wanted to sleep all day lol. I think I'd want a window room for my next stay so I don't get to comfy. We even had live music at wine and cheese! Such a beautiful touch. Thank you for the stay. We can't wait to come back.

We didn't know what to expect during our stay here but we enjoyed everything about the Andrew Pinckney Inn. We were met with kindness by valet and check in. We stayed in the building across the street from check in. Shortly after check in, from 4-5:30, they offer a cheese and wine reception in the solarium. What a special treat! We easily walked to other restaurants and bars in the area - truly around the corner to greatness. The room felt like luxury and was very clean. Our bed and pillows were divine. The hotel was quiet and we never heard other guests or noise from the street. The included breakfast in the solarium was also incredible. We enjoyed the quiche in particular. I highly recommend!

We love staying at the API, and our trip this week was simply delightful. From check in/valet parking, every need was met. Our room was immaculate, and we noticed that recent painting had been done. So crisp! The inn is in the perfect location. Loved the Happy Hour and breakfast choices. We will be back.
