I did a lot of research preparing for our Charleston trip and as a tour junkie that's always an important part of our trips. I found the pirate tour through Google search and we were super excited since it seemed like a fun but history filled tour. Day of we started at the Powder Magazine. It was great to get a chance to visit that as an added bonus to the tour. We ended up being the only two people on the tour which was awesome!! The temperature was too hot that day for the parrots, we were a little bummed about that, but totally understood and it didn't detract at all from the tour. Eric was a fantastic tour guide. We didn't take it too fast; sometimes on tours they move so fast and you don't have time to see or enjoy what you're looking at or what the guide is saying. This was the perfect speed. He also made sure when we stopped it was under shade because it was so hot. His knowledge of Charleston pirate and pirate history was great. Eric is very clearly an expert and has done loads of research in the field. Another perk of it being our own private tour was that we got to ask all the questions we wanted! We enjoyed it so much we actually looked into booking the ghost pirate one, but the last night of our trip wasn't one of the days it was offered. Visiting Charleston again is on our list and we will definitely be booking another tour with Eric & Charleston Pirate Tours!

We had an excellent tour with Eric! He's so knowledgeable and catered the tour to the pirates we were most interested in. He was super nice and we had a great time. I feel lucky to have been able to hear what he knows and ask questions.

As someone with family from this area we have done all of the local and touristy things. Charleston Pirate Tours is one of the things my kids love and we have done multiple times now throughout the years. Sabrina does a great job of making jokes, keeping kids engaged, challenging them, and giving them fun pirate history. If you are visiting the area or are even from here this is a tour any kiddo would get a kick out of!

Captain Sabrina was the best! She was knowledgeable and fun- keeping everyone entertained along the treasure hunt! She made it a great tour for both parents and kids alike; even our 2-year old stayed interested and had a blast. Would highly recommend for all families. Thanks, Captain Sabrina!

Making history interesting can be difficult, but not for Erik and Sabrina. We took Erik's pirate tour in the morning and Sabrina's ghost tour in the afternoon. Each is unique in their own way, but both make Charleston history come alive.

Signed up for the tour because we were looking for something fun to do and boy was it great!! We ended up having a private tour and loved every minute of it. Kid friendly and pirate Sabrina had so many great stories and historical facts about Charleston, pirates and ghosts. Highly recommend!!;

So much fun! Eric the pirate was informative and a great story teller just as other reviewers have mentioned. Loved hearing about the pirates, the Gullah, and the ghosts of Charleston. He gave us lots of tips on where to go for other ghostly adventures. Loved how he was able to intertwine the history of the city with the tour. I definitely got some goosebumps a time or two during the tour.

Childrens tour was fun and engaging for our kiddos (ages 11, 8 & 6). Lots of history woven into the tour by and Captain Sabrina. The kids are treasuring their "treasures" from the tour.

Best Ghost Walk Ever! We have been on numerous ghost walks throughout the U.S. and Europe; this was without a doubt the BEST one we've ever been on! It's all about Eric. His knowledge of Charleston, his passion for the stories he tells and his ability to tailor the tour based on the guests, is what makes this ghost walk so unique. We also loved the fact that he focuses on pirates of Charleston (which we absolutely loved). During part of the tour, we sat on a bench and overlooked the bay where the pirates blockaded hundreds of years ago. Hearing those tales and seeing the real life water where it happened gave me chills. He also tells of numerous ghostly stories that will have you looking over your shoulder the rest of the night! If you are in Charleston, there is no better place to spend your evening than this Ghost/Pirate Tour! A+++

We took our 4 year old son on the kid's pirate tour and he loved it, as did his parents. The hour long tour was engaging for our son and funny and interesting for the adults. Most importantly, the time frame was perfect. In that hour, our son marveled at Sabrina, the "real pirate' with her parrot leading the tour, got to practice being a pirate, followed a treasure map while running around a park to approx. 10 stops where we all learned about pirate facts and lore, and finally ended up at a hidden treasure chest where he received some goodies including a balloon parrot of his own. What a hit! I'd recommend the tour highly for anyone looking for a fun way to learn about the city and entertain younger kids while visiting Charleston.
