I never thought I'd have to post something like this publicly, but I'm at a loss after multiple failed attempts to get a response from Enterprise regarding an issue that has now turned from inconvenient to inhumane. Over the weekend, I returned a rental car to the Charleston International Airport location, and accidentally left my 90-year-old mother's wheelchair in the back. I take full responsibility for the oversight. After celebrating her 90th birthday with over 200 friends and family, I was suddenly informed of a flight delay due to the weekend weather and had to scramble to catch an earlier flight to make it to a film shoot. In the chaos, I forgot the chair had been placed in the back of the rental just before I left for the airport. I have now called multiple times, been told the issue would be escalated, and that someone would reach out "by end of day". That was days ago. Still no call, no follow-up, no action. This is not about a lost phone charger or pair of sunglasses. This is about a 90-year-old woman without the wheelchair she depends on to move through her day. And it's about a company that has been completely unresponsive, even after being clearly informed of the urgency and stakes. For years, I've been a loyal Enterprise customer--I even purchased my last vehicle through Enterprise Car Sales and was about to buy another. That relationship is now in jeopardy because not a single person has shown the care, competence, or basic decency to help resolve this. (from customer service to the corporate team) This situation has exposed a systemic failure in communication and compassion--two things any customer-facing company should be built on. Enterprise, what will you do to make this right?

Ease of pickup 4/5 Cars available in class reserved 2/5. Requested a corolla or similar. They had a Nissan kick or camry. Helpfulness of staff 3/5. Called in to extend rental due to flight cancelation. Person kept putting me on hold. No staff assisted with original walk thru for pickup. Car itself 2/5 : our car reeked of cigarettes and weed from previous drivers. Rental car return: 3/5: signage was confusing

Rented a one way compact car from this Fort Mill location to Charleston Airport, for 2 days and a few hours. Friendly and fast check in process. The kind and lovely ladies gave me a free upgrade to small SUV, a Mitsubishi Outlander. The car had less than 2000 miles on it, very new, and ran perfectly...especially the air conditioning which is a must in a Carolina Summer. The gas wasn't quite full, so the lady told me to return with about the same. I returned the car with a 7/8ths full gas tank. When I arrived at Charleston Airport, the Enterprise employee said it was notated that the gas only needed to be 3/4ths full, so he was going to refund me $30 for the extra gas. Wow! I was blown away by that quick and easy refund. Overall rather expensive for $305, but that was my fault for booking later rather than earlier.

After arriving at CHS I went directly to the rental pick-up area as I did not see the signs pointing to the rental counter. I met with Patrick and he was super nice with checking me out with a car. He also let me take a look a few of the Jeep's available and let me pick the one I wanted. That was super cool of him. The paperwork was completed quickly and I was on my way. As for the Jeep... it was a newer Unlimited Rubicon rental with low miles. It was clean with no damage and worked perfectly over 10 days and 2000+ miles. No complaints there. We ended up extending our rental 1 day and the process was very easy. We got a text message with a link allowing us to modify our booking if need be. It was simple and quick. The return process was just as quick. Overall it was a great experience and nice vacation. Thank you Enterprise!

Ethan at Enterprise Rent-A-Car (Charleston Airport location) was very helpful when we returned our car after our girls' trip! We had a few concerns and questions regarding the car and he answered them and explained everything with ease. He took care of us and was very friendly and professional!

Enterprise rental, relatively straightforward at the desk as it is in the terminal. No waiting which was nice and a person took care of the whole process for me instead of having to go to a machine. One downside is that for the rental cars themselves you actually have to walk outside through two garages and downstairs to get to where the cars are parked. There an attendant will take your contract and bring you to the right car, at which point they take you over to the exit and the exit takes a while. They take photos from six different cameras and six different angles and take your ID and your contract again. I actually spent more time waiting at the exit for them to wrap up than I did at the counter and at the pickup spot in total. Maybe they want to figure out a way to speed that up because it shouldn't take that long to take pictures and inspect the outside of the car. They do have an early check-in which was good. Get a receipt then.

Picked up the car in Charlotte, NC and returned it in Charleston SC. We were able to pick out the vehicle we wanted from the class of car we reserved. I had heard that you are more likely to get in an accident in a white car, whether it is true or not, I bum out when I get assigned a white car. I checked in online, so was able to walk right out to the lot, a friendly face directed us to our car options. The car we got was brand new (385 miles) and fun to drive and experience all the new features. Both the checking in and return of the car could not have gone any smoother. The Enterprise location was at the airport in both locations, so we did not need to take a shuttle. At the Charleston airport there was a bit of a walk, but not bad. The gentleman who greeted us when we returned the car, was super friendly (at 4 am) and accommodating. I thought we were just going to put the keys in a drop box. We forgot to fill the car prior to return, the amount charged per gallon was only slightly higher than the going rate We needed pick up and drop off at different locations, when I shopped around there were not a lot of options. Enterprise was the lowest of all of them. Overall a great experience.

I have wiped our slate clean as off today. We usually have a lot of back and forth. But today I applaud you. I received a call after I landed in Fort Lauderdale Florida from leaving Charleston airport. It was to inform me that I left my wallet in the car and that you were willing to mail it to me. I'm super grateful for the call and opportunity to retrieve my wallet. I asked if someone could pick it up and was told yes. To provide their name and they needed to bring ID with them to pick up. My sister got it and shipped it to me the next day. I received it the next morning. Not even 24hrs after it was left. This employee definitely should receive a raise and employee of the month.

Take an Uber/Lyft to a local branch, it will be significantly faster and likely less expensive. I rent cars 5-10 times a year. I have rented from this enterprise location on multiple occasions. The employees are fine, the cars are fine the operations are in my opinion the worst I have experienced. All of my rental experiences have taken more than an hour to rent and depart. I have experienced the car I rented not being available with no options other than to rent a much more expensive luxury vehicle. My last rental took 41min of waiting at the gate to leave with no way to exit. Keys in hand... but no way to leave. I would not recommend renting a car here.

I hate to point the finger but the manager at this location is very incompetent of doing his job I believe it was Micheal I came to the airport to do a vehicle swap that was noted in my account to do so when I called customer service when I got to the airport Micheal closed out my whole account and made me pay 610 for another car when I already had a car and just wanted to swap out to a bigger car than was told he couldn't allow me to take the car cause I didn't have a flight coming in charged my card and took the original car I came with and left me and my wife stranded in South Carolina had to get a hotel room at this dirty days inn 2 miles from the airport and was luckily able to find a enterprise that would help me get back home Tuesday morning to the people at 2133 N Boland cir in North Charleston thank you Jim I really appreciated your help
