The staff greets you with a smile. The interior is very swank. The classy but divey feel is very chill. The gluten free drink options are tasty. The pool table is conveniently located in the front of the establishment. The interior design is very interesting. The over all environmental design combines the nu skool with the old school seemslessly. It's a hybrid of the past and the present. It has the 1960s / 1970s vibe of the media industry. Overall, everything's awesome!

Frontier is one of my favorite bars in town. It's one of the only places downtown with consistent live music and they have the best FnB staff in chs. The outdoor patio is also great place to grab drinks on a nice day.

Walked in on a Monday night. Place was dead apart two customers chatting with the bar keep. Ordered an old fashioned, it was fine. Might be more fun on a weekend or when there are more people in the place. Could do with having the air hockey table turned on. I would have loved to have thrashed my wife.

This place is so cool. It's got a great 70s grunge meets country dive bar vibe without sacrificing actual decor, comfortability, and decent drinks and food. Really decent prices (think $11-12 for a cocktail). We came on Thursday and they had an entire menu of $5 cocktails - and they were not rail drinks! T

The rudest and most unprofessional staff of bartenders I have encountered in 18 years of nightlife all over the world. I spent the first 10 minutes waiting to be served while the staff socialized among each other and counted their tips in an empty bar. Once served, around 1:47AM, my wife and I paid, and left a generous tip despite the poor service (it was last call after all). Immediately after paying, the bartenders immediately hounded us to go to the door and were rude about it. It was an empty bar and I still had 10 min before 2AM close. The bartenders complained that it's been a "long day after a 12 hour shift" and we needed to leave now that we have just paid for our drinks. I told them there is "no need to be obnoxious." With that, multiple bartenders (yes 3 or more) started shouting obscenities at my wife and I - telling us "F* you" "F* yourself" and "F* off" etc. I demonstrated self control and did not reciprocate their rude, inexcusable behavior towards them. I wanted the justification of being able to write this post. This all took place after I was served, paid, and left a $10 tip for two drinks. Unbelievable. My wife and I are both working professionals; she works in the ER as a nurse and I'm in the combat arms side of the military. We both have pulled 12-24 hour shifts or more; 37 hours is my PR... BUT we have never talked to the people we serve in this manner. There is no excuse for a bartender coming off a 12 hour shift to treat customers this way. None. The employer ought to dedicate some time to their employee training, including best practices in the customer service business. There is no need to treat customers this way. If you want people to be out by 0150, then don't serve after 0147. Do not, under any circumstances, put your hands on or use foul language toward your customers. Act like a professional. If you need assistance with handling a customer that is non-compliant or rude, then don't do the same. Open the door and ask for assistance from the law enforcement standing outside. The staff got away with a $10 tip because their inexcusably rude behavior was after we already paid. Frontier Lounge will not receive another dollar of my business.

I've come here a little under ten times and every single time without fail it takes whoever is working upwards of five minutes to say hello/take my order, regardless of how busy it is. I understand having a bad day, but at the end of the day this is bad customer service and the very opposite of hospitable. To be frank, i only come here for weems ramen, it's just super frustrating as someone who also works food and bev to see how intentionally the staff avoids so much as eye contact with customers.

Frontier lounge is the crown jewel of downtown. Classy establishment that isn't pretentious like some other Charleston bars. Would highly recommend to locals and tourists alike!
