This hotel is nice with a great location in the historic district of Charleston. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the air conditioning works great, and the staff were friendly. I'm not sure what else I could ask for in a hotel.

Stayed here for three nights and had a nice stay. Staff at the front desk, housekeeping, at the bar and in the breakfast service were all super nice. The hotel overall is clean and well kept...some of the furniture in the lobby is a little worn but still looks nice. When we first checked in, the room they have us had an overwhelming mildew-y smell, so much so that my eyes started itching and I wanted to take out my contact lenses. The front desk was great about efficiently switching our room and after that there were no problems. The breakfast was nice although the last day, the water cooler wasn't working so it was hard to get a glass of water. Loved the waffles though! The pool was nice and relaxing. It was a little grungy and could have used a good cleaning and I wasn't jazzed that when you go to the pool, there's a sign on the towel rack that says "Get towels at front desk". It's a bit of a walk from the pool to the elevator and the elevators were consistently S-L-O-W so you definitely don't want to have to make an extra trip on those, but overall that's a small complaint. It was great having a refrigerator to keep drinks cold, which you need in the southern heat. Location is great for eating with a ton of restaurants nearby on King St and you're close to Marion Square where there's a nice market on Saturdays. If you want to go further, there's a free bus, the Downtown Area Shuttle (DASH) that runs up Meeting Street and down King Street so it's really easy to get around without a car in the historic area. You can take it right to Waterfront Park which would be a 30+ minute walk.

Great place to stay in Charleston when you are in town. The hotel is in a good location only a couple blocks from King street. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower had decent pressure. The breakfast both days was good. They have valet parking but you can park on the street for free until 9am which was nice. Definitely would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our recent stay here. Every encounter with the staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and smelled nice. If you're a fan of ceiling fans, you'll be happy here! Our room was spacious and comfortable for our weekend stay. Full size fridge, ice, coffee machine, and sink in the kitchenette. The TV has live TV and options to use YouTube and Netflix. Nice! The breakfast is pretty nice. I made my own waffles with blueberries on part and chocolate chips on part. They have a cool machine that dispenses the batter just to a cup so you know how much to use. Quality waffle maker with a timer. Came out great! I also saw sausage patties, scrambled eggs, potatoes, cereal, orange and apple juice, bagels, toast, yogurt, etc. Something for everyone! We were able to walk to just about everything we wanted to see, putting this hotel in a great location. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here last weekend and would not likely return. Very average accommodations. Hotel is conveniently located to King St but be aware of homeless and their discarded items on walk behind hotel to King St. Poor value- unremarkable experience for price paid. Paid nearly $500 per night for the two night stay. Check in- I checked in in person. Front desk clerk was less than warm and welcoming. Typical going through the motions approach. Poor appreciation of Hilton Honors Diamond member. Besides a welcome text, two bottles of water, and BOGO house wine, I had very unimpressive treatment as a Diamond member. When asked via text, it was explained I also received some premium wifi. Lol When I did use the BOGO house wine in the bar area, I had to have an unwelcome conversation with a Hilton Grand Vacations sales rep. Hilton just wants more and more money I guess. Floor of main lobby area was sticky from morning breakfast. Room was quiet but average condition and cleanliness. Found a key card holder from the previous stay in a chair. Room showed notable signs of wear and tear. Soggy bottom couch in studio room. Concerning colored stains on bed skirting, well worn- thread bear sheets, bathroom had fixture mounts from previous items which had been removed.

So many troubles and unusual things happened during check-in. Hilton app and text messages lead you to check-in online and choose the room. We did it to find out that we were assigned a different room. The front desk employee didn't have any knowledge why and what. Wasn't a friendly situation, with no any effort to accommodate us. Another employee tried to help and we checked in. Never been recognized as HHonors members. Breakfast area can be really chaotic, specially around 9am. Everything else is standard for this Hilton brand hotel. Front desk customer service needs improvement. I called the hotel a week after we checked out to follow up on promised made, just to face another a very rude front desk employee.

First and last time at a Hilton Homewood. When the valet says it's terrible and the front deak staff are incompetent and rude and IT'S TRUE, you know its bad. Receptionist was rude and abrupt and literally did not care that we had an issue with the room. The pull out bed was dirty amd unmade, had.used rolled up kneenexes, plastic ware, knapkins, dirty sheets. Then the front desk girl brings us a "bla ket" to sleep on and it was a FITTED bed blanket. Their attitude was offensive. Never again and we WERE hilton rewards members.

Firstly, Matty on the front desk and pretty much everywhere else as well, was incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming. We had a few problems which he took care of instantly, making our stay perfect. Amazing location and plenty of room. Everything as advertised. We will Most certainly stay here again.

A great experience staying at this location. The front desk associate (Shavonda) was wonderful. She was friendly and helpful in suggesting eating places and tourist spots. Shelton was the best bartender. Great conversationalist. He was friendly with all the customers. Our room was clean and the smell of sanitized product was welcoming. The $35 per day for parking was a bit much, but the safety was worth it. The property location was wonderful. Easy in and out access and convenient walking distant places to eat and entertainment. Will select this location when in the area again

The staff and management are incompetent at a level never seen before! We had reservations for wedding guests six months in advance, with confirmation numbers documented, confirming all reservations six separate times over six months, then confirming all reservations upon arrival in Charleston twice, yet they still gave away reserved rooms, stranding many in our party without rooms. They gave our pre paid rooms to other people despite our confirmed reservations! In addition, to some in our party they gave keys to rooms already occupied! Imagine walking in on strangers! They magnified their incompetence by showing a complete disregard for our well being and demonstrated rude language and demeanor to many in our group and showed a complete lack of concern for their mistakes. In my entire life I have never experienced this extreme level of incompetence. I not only cannot recommend this hotel, I can vigorously recommend you avoid this hotel at all costs!
