I love the Inn at I'on! Service was exemplary and everyone was so kind and welcoming during our stay, especially Amy. I loved the breakfast delivered every morning to the room--highly recommend the waffles with bacon and eggs benedict. The location is amazing in a cute, exclusive village surrounded by gorgeous real estate, boutiques and restaurants walking distance from the inn. The room is cozy and comfortable with the softest sheets and honestly more comfortable than my bed at home! The bathrooms are nicely updated and well-stocked with toiletries. Pure perfection.

I don't know where to begin with this review, everything was so perfect about our stay. We came to Charleston for a one night trip celebrating our 5 year anniversary. I booked this hotel by chance since we did not want to be downtown, and I'on is close enough to Shem Creek. We arrived in the early afternoon and were greeted by Amy. I believe she was Housekeeping but seemed to wear many hats! There was a young front desk agent as well who was very pleasant. They thoroughly explained the hotel, their rules and what to expect. The office closes in the evening, so they make sure to get each guest set up for the night before they close. The whole property was a wow factor. I was in awe every time I turned a corner! The room and bathroom were stunning. The old time Charleston feel was not unnoticed. We loved the white tile bathrooms and showers, complete with cozy towels and robes. It poured for most of our weekend, but we were able to enjoy our complimentary breakfast on the balcony with some sunshine. Breakfast tasted great and was served promptly at our requested time. The room had a Keurig with plentiful K Cup options. We didn't want to check out! I won't stay anywhere else while visiting Charleston.

Very personable quaint 8 room inn. Went above and beyond to help us find and get checked in. Interesting community that I would love to hear more about its history. We didn't have much time to browse the little shops nearby but will do that next time. Nice clean historic bed. Needed a step stool to get into it. Clean modern walk-in shower. Nice location in Mount Pleasant.

The property is beautiful, and service at the desk was terrific. The room was large, well-furnished, and very clean. I really appreciated the attention to detail that went into making the room special. Breakfast was delicious, and the check-out snack was a lovely surprise! If I'm back in the neighborhood, this will be the first hotel I look to.

We just checked out of the Inn at I'On a couple of days ago. I will say that it is lovely. We stayed in the Jacob Bond House Room 11. It is a suite and it is lovely. So I'm going to tell you all the positive things. If you've ever been around the I'On neighborhood, then you know how pretty it is. There are a few shops and a pub and restaurant (square onion - deli The breakfast at the Inn was hit and miss. The Jacob house, as pretty as it is, has downfalls - It is lit up like an airfield. If you want to turn on a light, it is overhead and too bright. No lamps in the sitting room area. Biggest problem, owner is rude. He seems to be under a lot of stress. We won't stay again.

This is a beautiful Inn, away from the bustle of Charleston. It sits in a charming neighborhood of Mt. Pleasant. Around the Inn are a few dining options and shops. The area is quiet. Perfect for relaxing and walking around. Here are some notes from our stay: -Check in is 3pm, they seemed pretty strict on this. We showed up at 2pm and had to wait. -If you use the Creek Club pool (they give you comp access if you ask), you need to bring your own towels, as they are not provided in the club. -Amazing breakfast, served in Carter's Kitchen. You make a selection the night before from a small menu then note the time you are coming in the morning. Service was slow but the food was delicious. We had shrimp, sausage and grits and a beef skillet with eggs. -Easy free parking -Reasonable rate Our room was in the Jacob Bond house, just across the street from the main house. There are only 4 rooms in that house. We were in room 8 on the lower level. It was spacious, clean and comfortable with a queen bed, even though it was a pull down style, it was really comfy. The room had huge windows, however the windows open right to the sidewalk, so you will need to keep the heavy curtains closed to avoid peepers. I'd suggest adding shears or blinds to this room, to allow more light and privacy.

Two-nights stay with INCREDIBLE breakfasts. Arrived late at night for first night and no host in sight. The kind bartender helped us get a room key. So it was little confusing/disorganized at receiving us as late arrivals, although we contacted them weadvance to let them know of our expected late arrival. Had an upper floor room that was spacious and comfortable. Had requested extra pillows (a splurge we indulge in on vacations), which we never received - but that wasn't critical. Think we would stay here again...but not go to any "trouble" to arrange it.

We stayed in room 10 at the Jacob Bonds house for two nights. We knew when we rented that the room did not have a refrigerator and with it being cold out, we were able to store drinks on the balcony to keep them cool! However, that will not be suggested for a summer day or evening in Mt Pleasant. We found the Inn to be charming and much more affordable than downtown Charleston. We drove downtown several times due to the lack of distance and effort and enjoyed the ride over the bridge each time. It's also close to Shem Creek which is a great spot for dinner and drinks. The room was clean, neat, and presented wonderfully after a 6 hour drive. The bathroom provided awesome toiletries! Greenwich Soap Co. from Raleigh makes awesome lotion and soap! They weren't many others checked in at during our stay but we enjoyed the privacy and solitude offered. Staff that we encountered were nice and helpful. We ate breakfast one morning and were not pleased so we skipped the next day. I had the fruit bowl and yogurt. It was exactly that and that's ok. I just don't eat much cantelope and the pineapple tasted odd. My husband had the chicken and waffle. He liked his. We did note that one of the apple jellies was covered in mold. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

This place is gorgeous. The innkeeper Jennifer was very helpful and accommodating and helped us when Priceline messed up our reservations. The room was huge and the bed was so comfy. The breakfast was yummy. There was a party reservation so we all sat in the sun room to mingle and eat with other people staying there. The little goody bag they give you is a nice token. The only complaints I have is the Lobby area is a little tight. When, you are coming in with your luggage to use the elevators it is a tight squeeze. I would suggest moving that table and decor like the Halloween decorations that were up to make it more accessible. Also the parking is tight and only space per room. Someone was using the only handicap space in which my guest needed and then the car next to my assigned spot was so crooked i could barely get my child out of the car. I would definitely stay here again.
