Been eating here for decades. The teriyaki chicken on a stick, chicken lo Mein, sweet and sour chicken, hunan anything, and gen tso chicken are great. Also love that they'll do basically any kind of fried rice with the combo specials. My fave is ham peas and carrots. Ham over pork-fried forever! Love this place and it's convenient to me too.

This is our go to lunch spot. Food always fresh and tasty. Even ordered a pan of fried rice for an event and everybody thought I made it LOL! Calling me to bring my good rice. Of course I got you! Hello! Can I have a pan of rice. Lol

I went in here to get shrimp lo mein and the food was nasty so I called and they told me to come back so they can make a new one but it still tasted the same and they wouldn't give me my money back . and no one in the store speaking English so it was hard for me to understand. Update: Tried Joe's again today (4-12-18) and all I can say is "meh". Had the orange chicken. Didn't taste like any I had before, and not in a good way. Won't do that again. And the fried rice wasn't special; rather bland without the hot sauce. About the only good thing I can say is the egg roll was decent, at least after I added some sauce to it. Okay so that was more me than them doing something right. Probably no reason to even go back, unless I get amnesia again about their food quality. Prior Review: Visited Joe's today. It's a typical quick Chinese take-out small restaurant with minimal seating. Not the cleanest place or nicely decorated. Very warm; they only had a big floor fan running apparently. Which is why I got my food to go. I tried the sesame chicken lunch special, which comes with pork fried rice and an egg role. The chicken was just okay. The rice was better. The egg role was average; needed a sweet/sour sauce. It would be nice if they had a better hot sauce than those little packets every Chinese place you've ever been to has; not a fan of that sauce. Overall not bad for $6.50 (no drink), but certainly not the best Chinese I've had. Maybe just an off day for them or not the best menu selection today. I'll try something else another time since it's conveniently close.

I work in the area and happened upon Joe's. What a wonderful secret squirrel find! From the name you would never know it was an outstanding Chinese restaurant! All orders are made fresh and the prices are super cheap! They have an A rating. (in that neck of the woods that's important!) I've tried the shrimp, chicken and beef dishes and have never been disappointed. Joe's is worth going out of the way for! Trust me...

This place is always busy at lunchtime! They take about 15 minutes to fill an order, so we've learned to call ahead and it's waiting for us when we get there. There are a few booths and a couple of tables, which are usually pretty sticky/covered with crumbs. We ask the lady behind the counter for a rag and she rushes over to clean the table for us...which tells us they don't usually do much cleaning. The food is good, hot and flavorful, and the counter service is great, too. We have tried several of their lunch combos ($5.35) for an entree with fried rice and an egg roll. Personally, I don't care for the egg rolls -- last time I tried the Spring Rolls, which are soooo much better. I'm going to ask if i can substitute a Spring roll for the egg roll next time we go. The Sweet and Sour Pork, Sesame Chicken, and Crispy Honey Chicken are quite good -- I've tried those. My husband has had the Curry Chicken and the Szechuan Chicken, both of which were much too mild even though they are listed as "hot & spicy." We've learned that we need to ask for "extra spicy" and it's much better. Same goes for the Hot & Sour Soup -- it's ok, bland really, but when we ask for "extra spicy" it is quite good. Just a nitpicky thing here, but the plastic silverware they give you is super flimsy and not worth using. I just bring my own forks and knives when we go. I'll give the place a solid 3 stars, knocking off two for lack of cleanliness and time to wait for dishes to be cooked. Don't get me wrong -- the food is good, but if you want spicy, ask for it.

Literally the best Chinese in Charleston . The lemon pepper wings are to die for ! Also the vegetable lo mein is very good and if you order ahead the wait isn't long at all! Highly recommend

Food is decent for the price only reason why I ate here was because it was cheaper than everywhere else and I left my wallet home and had about $8 on me but it was hot as hell I guess the air conditioning was broken the door was wide open and the had fans blasting would I eat here again yes but probably on a cooler day
