This is a delightful, premium cigar lounge experience. Having been to many, this is the best I've experienced. Don't worry about hearing from Gary that there are 'rules.' Don't worry unless you weren't raised to appreciate courtesy for others and respect for where you are. Consider that the 'cost' makes it possible for King's Leaf to be there for you.

I would liked to add to the common pattern of rude reception at the door. No where is it advertised they have a dress code, walked for 15 minutes to visit. Have smoked cigars all over the world and never been treated like this anywhere. Not recommended. Glad you did not get a dime from me. A negative Star if I could.

We were greeted at the door by a guy who asked us what we wanted. We were stunned and weren't sure what to say. I immediately felt unwelcome. My husband asked if he could look at the cigars. He was given permission. I sat in a chair while he went to the humidor. I asked a different guy if I could use the restroom while my husband shopped for cigars. He told me no. It was only for customers. That was the final straw. We left and will not come back or recommend this place to anyone. My husband and 3 sons are all big cigar smokers. We have never felt so unwelcome in a place that requires customers spending money to stay in business.

This was a classy Cigar Lounge. They had strict rules and I think all cigar lounges should have some type of rules to operate as a cigar lounge. No this wasn't another state I appreciate the fact that they had beer and wine, as in Maryland places that serve alcohol or if you between. If we go back to Charleston we will definitely visit this Lounge again.

Bars and Cigars go together like Tacos and Tequila! What a cool place! We were staying at the Francis Marion Hotel for a conference and had about an hour to kill before we went to a group dinner. So a friend and I went over for a cigar and a beer. They had a pretty big humidor with many choices at a variety of price points. I chose a shorter cigar. I usually try and see how long I can get the ash to go, but being in work attire, I couldn't risk a cigar malfunction. This had the potential to go beyond an inch of ash, though! They cut and lit the cigar for you, which took some of the gratification of lighting the cigar away from me (I love playing with lighters, ever since I was a kid). They had nice leather chairs next to tables with ash trays and coasters. It was quite spacious inside too. The beer fridge had a lot of choices, including my favorite beer of all time, Weihenstephan which they poured into a glass meticulously. Then it was just puff, sip, repeat for a while. The owner was super could and you can tell he enjoyed what he's doing. There's nothing like the smell when you walk into cigar bar! Excellent way to kill an hour or so.

While this is a nice, upscale cigar lounge, it's not exactly my jam. I go have a cigar for some me time and maybe to have a good conversation. Kings Leaf feels like it's trying too hard to be intentionally pretentious. Like the guy behind the counter with a quiet voice and wearing a tie, but his shirt is untucked. And the fact that they light your cigar is fine but if yours goes out they don't have lighters available so you have to go back up and have tie guy relight it. I can't imagine having a conversation with a stranger there, the layout isn't conducive and it almost screams at you to be quiet. Also couldn't imagine watching a game there. It's for the downtown tourist crowd I think. And the prices are insane!

Great environment. Little pricey but appreciated and expected with the location. The tobacconist was a little much only pointing out the $50 sticks, I guess that's expected too. or is it. Great beer pairings, that's where he shined. Nice place, a little small and will try again next time in town.

A wonderfully elegant shop and lounge with a vast selection of cigars, beer, and wines. This location does not have the cheapest prices by far, but the decor is very high class with luxurious leather couches and comfortable chairs and a top notch ventilation system. This is newly refurbished and it has a charming old world feel complete with gentlemen's rules. The service is wonderful with an employee ready to advise you on your cigar and drink pairing. I love being able to come here and truly relax. If the service and decor didn't match I would say go elsewhere, but here you truly get what you pay for. This is perfect as a nightcap to a high end date night. Sit back, sip, smoke, and enjoy.

Just visited this cigar store for the first time. They had great sticks but they were overpriced. After spending a good amount of money on not that many cigars we went to sit down to smoke and the guy was not happy that we were planning to sit there and started giving us a list of rules and told my brother and mother who don't smoke that there would be a fee for sitting on the couch in an empty store. We were there for 30mins and we were the only people in there the whole time. We decided not to stay and smoke since we did not feel welcome and we will not be back.
